It is not Beethoven, who composed that score, it was Francis Lay who did that. This music was used and specially written by Francis Lay for the movie "Love story" which appeared on screens in movie theaters in 1970

Yes you are right, you need to find best track and see if it does the job, you can also merge few tracks if the melody is spread on different tracks. I uploaded couple of videos and its doing basic job but its not perfect.
