  • Don't take medication... You will have a reliance on it. Chemicals are worse for you... My friend dave thinks you are hot and he has aspergers.

  • My mother had recommended me to take a certain pill every morning for my ADHD. I haven't a clue as to whether it works, but these days, while it just help me focus in class a bit, I have been eating more peanuts in the morning. The peanuts work a little better, I'd say. But that's only me.

  • Have you ever tried accupuncture?

  • why so many dislikes?? :(

  • effexor rx with straterra. or whatever XD yay for those.

  • do u ever get more touchy when u first go on a new drug cus i find people more difficult to deal with when i first go on a new drug sometimes and i still feel a bit unsettled on my new drug especially since I've been evicted from supported home and dealing with a new home hasn't all been easy

  • @Devik666 Not usually - I find that I'm the very worst off them.

  • sorry you've lost me lol

  • probably sorry

  • i know but i hate it when i feel i haven't sleep problem in the morning and sometimes feel i need to sleep in the afternoon

  • I am on an anti-depresant... and i am supposed to be taking a medicine for the ADD. Thank you for sharing.

  • Yet another video made by an attention-seeking Asperger's FAKER. My family watches your videos and admonishes me, "Chad, this girl on YouTube has Asperger's and I don't see HER demanding underwear from K-Mart, meticulously recording the outcome of People's Court episodes, or setting the kitchen on fire." You may have 99 psychological problems (pathological lying, Munchausen syndrome, etc) but trust me, REAL ASPERGER'S SYNDROME AIN'T ONE!

  • @ChadCheddaBuffington Yes, because you're qualified to diagnose people over the internet.

  • @ChadCheddaBuffington How do you figure she doesn't have it? You act like all Aspies are the same.

  • I take Effexor for depression. The side effects are nothing to worry about, but the withdrawal symptoms are devastating. I also take Ambien for Insomnia. If I dont go to sleep right away, I trip. I take Synthroid because my thyroid needed to be removed. It wasn't functioning properly. With the proper dosage, there are no side effects, but with a wrong dosage, it will put your metabolism out of whack, giving you weight gain or loss, fainting spells... But doctors know how to keep things in check.

  • Did you get nervous and forget what you were going to say because at 1:54 you tried to "carelessly" throw the pills aside, but then kept thinking "I really need to go pick those up.."? Ha, because that's probably what would have happened to/distracted me if I had tried that.

  • You, were mis-diagnosed and boy are the pharmacuetical companies taking advantage of it.

  • @toweronepower please.

  • @AspergersGirl Just imagine how much money the drug companies have made from you over 10 years. And think of your poor liver.

  • @toweronepower I agree drug companies sell toxic shit that wrecks you up and i'd rather snot a kilo of coke a day than put shitty pharmaceuticals into my body

  • hello Ive been having panic attacks and anxiety for over 2 years now and i feel like i cant cope so now i want to get meds for it . do you think this med will work ? i know every one is different i would just like some advice thanks

  • @GoingPretty best thing to do is ask a doctor

  • @GoingPretty You have to be careful. Each med interacts with each person differently.

  • Hi Good video. I have just started taking 25mg Clomipramine alongside High Dose SSRI for OCD. Your video was very accurate. Wishing you good health for the future...

  • @gida66 How are you finding it?

  • I agree that Good diet and exercise help to alleviate poor self esteem, depression, and aré a great social outlet. You can warner up to people more or less at your own pace, and you share an interest Just by showing up to work out. Made some great friends by walking and talking. Still i struggle to maintain relationships or to get financially stable. I plan on seeking therapy to help me sort my issues out.

  • @TheMyklar Keep going, you'll make it!

    Good advice, too :)

  • Im fearful of taking meds and dealing with side effects and dependency. The strides i have managed to make aré the result of immersing myself in challenging situations and persevering through the obstacles...even If It meant failing. I had to learn to pick myself back up. Having some social support was crucial, being accepted as i was. I dabbled in recreational drugs in my teens, But they can give you a false socialability. Far better to learn social rules, and model others to learn to cope.

  • @TheMyklar It depends on what your problems are. There is no medication for aspergers. Only that which can help you deal with a few of the things that come with it.

  • @karp821 Yeah, it's not for everybody.

  • I use to be on a crap load of medication. It was a concoction that would put me into a daily trance. I feel that I've commented on this video before.

  • WARNING: POSSIBLY FLAME-INDUCING ANSWER AHEAD! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

I self-medicate with low doses of tetrahydrocannabinol; it helps lower stress levels and has prevented me from 'boiling over' emotionally on more than one occasion.

As for 'official' medications, I'm not on any.

  • @StarFox008 pot makes my anxiety worse...

  • Hey,

I'm glad to see you're still making videos. I was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 12, but I've gotten better socially over the last year. What I've learned is that many people with Asperger's "catch up" socially in their late 20s and early 30s. However, I do still struggle with insomnia and some other Aspergers-related things.

Would you like to talk on AIM?

  • @KhagarBalugrak I'm in my early 30's and I don't think I'm catching up socially. I feel that I will always be a step behind. I am fake or phony in conversation because I don't know how to be social. I can never relax and just be myself.

  • @karp821, I'm very sorry to hear that. Do you have Asperger's or Social Anxiety Disorder, or do you have both?

  • @KhagarBalugrak What don't I have? Ha kidding. Yes, both. I have trouble holding a job. That is the only thing I really wish I could change. I can live without being totally social, having a bunch of friends....just wish I could work without the paranoia/anxiety

  • @karp821, that's horrible. I wish you well and I hope you find something that works. I can give you a few pieces of advice that may or may not help you. Try getting lots of exercise, like a 20 - 30 minute walk each day. Go to bed early and eat food with tons of protein, vitamins and minerals - lean chicken, hard boiled eggs, spinach and lettuce are great choices here. I know doing these things won't cure your conditions, but they will help a little. Best of luck.

  • @KhagarBalugrak THANK YOU - I APPRECIATE all of the advice you can give. Take care.

  • @KhagarBalugrak Aspergers, OCD, depression and Anxiety.

  • @AspergersGirl hey how's it going with finding a new medication have you been put on something new yet? How's it working out for you?

  • So why so many dislikes on this video AS girl?

  • He he Stress is time when need learn something when my stress starting i close my room doors and learn math 24/7 !

  • Wow the common wealth language sounds so funny at times especially after 4 beers or so you could say medication a thousand times and i'll still laugh. Anyways Aspie girl if I lived in NZ I would totally get naked under the sheets and make Aspie kids with you : ) Oh yeah would you like some ideas for a new vid????? ASK me I know pretty much everything about ww2 and every gun ever made on the planet which is probably useless for making videos about Aspergers. That was a joke on meself mate : )

  • I love what you do with offering and sharing information, but I'm curious about a few things. I'm asking these things as a psych student, so I've got plenty of research backing up my own opinions.

Do you want, or do you think a 'cure' is possible for anxiety and other related 'mental illnesses'? Do you think medications are the best or only option? Would you support or look at a treatment option if it didn't involve drugs?

  • @Ragnarok187 Well kid let me tell ya. medication is really the only option. taking an aspie off anxiety meds is like taking a schizo off seroquel picking up what i'm dropping of 5 story buildings??? btw why psychology??? takes too long to graduate and hard to find a real job, no offence..

  • @drakegod84 Well 'kid', I'm 30, and medications really aren't the only option. You are correct that taking someone off their meds (cold turkey) is a bad thing. The drugs are designed to increase rates of relapse and withdrawals. I've helped people get off seroquel and they feel much better off it than they ever did on it. Did you know anti-psychotics work like a chemical lobotomy?

I chose psychology because I wasn't going to be a psychiatric drug/death dealer for Big-Pharma.

  • @Ragnarok187 Yeah sure meds aren't the only option and yes drugs do have side effects, but that doesn't mean that therapy AKA "hypnotism" would be as effective as a proven drug. I know where your coming from, many Dr think that drugs are the solution to every affliction, but actually sometimes they are, under proper management. and why in the would you think I'm a kid??? if anything I would've thought you were a child for having a sectarian solution for an open ended question..

  • @drakegod84 I called you a 'kid' as a response to you calling me one, so it was you trying to look down on me first that kinda backfired.

Therapy does not mean hypnotism, and most therapists do not use it.

The effectiveness on the 'proven drugs' are minimal and many are no better than a placebo but they do have a lot of side effects.

Oh, and 'mental illness' is not caused by a 'chemical imbalance' so the drugs don't correct one of those, but they sure do cause one.

  • @Ragnarok187 I was connoting therapy to hypnotism. I wasn't saying that Dr who treat people with Asperegers use hypnotism as a subsitute to therapy wow??? And Aspergers isn't a mental illness, so i don't know how you came up with that statement, but having it does create anxiety, idk if you think this is a mental disorder or not but it isn't.. So what online college did you say you go to again, Devry was it?

  • @drakegod84 You really aren't very good at reading are you. And arguing with you is just going to be pointless. Please note the '' marks around such things as 'mental illness' and 'proven drugs'. If the '' wasn't enough of a give away, lets try this one [sarcasm]mental illness[/sarcasm] (html code no work)

No I don't believe aspergers is a 'mental illness', nor do I think any of the DSM labels are a real illness or disease. You're the one that supports the drugging/labeling, not me.

  • @Ragnarok187 By marks i suppose you mean hyphens, dumb dumb dumb anyways " ' " can't be used as quotations!. lol And yes I do support drug use and if you were an Aspie you would understand why drugs are a conventional treatment! I don't know if you know this or not but Hypnotism is pretty useless in medical treatment. Why you would think differently? I suppose the next dumb thing out of your mouth is going to be how "Jesus" can heal us all lol

  • @drakegod84 See what I mean? No point arguing with you. Yes, hyphen, you got 1 up on me. I didn't want to use " quotations, because it wasn't a quote.

I never even mentioned hypnotism as a treatment. YOU did.

I understand why drugs are a conventional treatment, but that does not mean they are effective or the best option.

I'm not religious btw, but if you wanna make another comment about Jesus when you were the one to bring him up, then feel free.

  • @Ragnarok187 Yep 1 up on ya guess I win this argument ehhh lol Thing is I've done therapy before and it just doesn't work. The only type of therapy that is somewhat effective- of course pending on the person- is social intervention conventions. I say somewhat because after a Aspie starts Asping out-aka isolating- the same social clumsiness starts all over again. Socializing for me is like doing it for the first time every time, if that makes sense.

  • @drakegod84 Therapy is only as effective as the therapist. Doesn't matter what type of therapy it is it won't work if the therapist sucks at what they do. Not many understand what it is or how it feels. And yes, I do know what its like regarding socializing. It's fairly common for me to isolate myself in my own 'hermit mode' for weeks/months at a time. I got into psychology because I've personally experienced a large number of these so called disorders so I know what they feel like.

  • i have aspergers but i havent been medicated?

  • @MrAssassin20x and it fucking blows!!!!!!!!!

  • i have aspergers but i havent been medicated?

  • @AspergersGirl DRUGS ARE GOOOOOOD!!!!!! Jk :p

I need to find something for anxiety, I seem to mainly have problems with that more then any thing

  • Hey when you gonna make a new video bop bop bop bop bop bop???

  • Hey, I'm on Clomipramine too!! Just ignore the people who tell you that you ought to be on a newer drug. Clomipramine is the most efficacious and the safest drug. Don't switch to the newer drugs, which have more side effects. BTW, what dosage are you on?

  • @AWinterDemise I'm off clomipramine now and it had terrible side effects. I'm trying some new drugs to see how they work but it's too early to say.

  • I am on Lamictal it's the only med after being on many different ones that I can tolerate. But I have found that it has stabalized my depression and my AS shows more now as I've become interested in my narrow interests again.

  • Like you, I've been diagnosed with autism at age 3 in 1988. I don't know which type of autism I have, but they say I'm high functioning. I've been diagnosed with absent seizure disorder in 2004 & anxiety disorder last year. I take 2 Divalproex pills for the absent seizure disorder & 1 pill of Lorazepam on a needed basis for my anxiety disorder if I go to public places. I was wondering if you can tell which type of autism do I have? Let me know asap. Thanks.

  • @aspergersgirl I'm curious as to whether you've tried/considered supplements such as 5-HTP and N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC). In particular NAC has shown efficacy in multiple conditions, especially OCD. I'm also curious as to why your doctor chose clomipramine instead of zoloft or lexapro. I just started taking NAC so I can't report on effect yet but I'm learning as much as I can about various drugs before I take any; obsessive research, needing to know everything first, you know how it is ;)

  • @Rascal77s I haven't tried those but am open to them.

I was given clomipramine because simply, those other drugs wern't invented at the time I was medicated. (Late 90s)

  • @AspergersGirl That makes sense. Well at least you had something, when I was a kid the only thing they had for us was lobotomy lol

  • Honestly you don;t make sense, 2 years to get used to a med. is 1 year and 11 months too long. going on and off meds is NOT good is that when you go off on peeps...take responsiblity of your illness and continue to see a doctor/ s........ and take your meds.

  • @italianman004 What are you talking about?

  • @AspergersGirl : Review your Video .

  • @AspergersGirl You spelled ass burgers wrong

  • @italianman004 I understand what you're saying, but for certain things, it doesn't quite work that way. I take synthroid. The amount that I need is very specific and the needs a body has fluctuates as things change. It took a few years to get things running steadily, which is normal. I don't know how AspergersGirl's medication works, but it's never good to jump in and accuse someone of poor judgement or a lack of responsibility without completely understanding what they're going through.

  • @MarkTheMagnificent : Did I lie ? she spoke it, I'm just repeating.

  • Hi aspergersgirl!!

i am currently taking Cymbalta, and Oxytocin for anxiety depression.

  • @aspergersgirl, your videos are awesome and inspiring. my 8 years old boy was diagnosed at 4, and learning more only helps me be a better father at helping him. your videos are great.

  • @coldwatertheband Thanks!

    :)

  • I'm on Citalopram which is an SRI. However I don't have OCD.

I started on them as a result of Depression before I was diagnosed (at age 43), but now realised the depression was as a result of the general anxiety and 'unable to cope' side of AS.

I have sleep issues with the SRI's, but its more about the vividness of dreams rather than sleeping too long.

Have you tried the SRI's, Prozac, Citalopram etc

p.s. my son is also on Citalopram and has been since he was 15.

  • @sparkyhx I have been put on an SSRI but its too early to see much. I've only been on it 3 days.

  • @jeffrielly a wall flower becuase there were just to many people around, also theanmish has also stated that there are days whare she wont even leave here apprtment becuase she just can't do it socialy and that those days she would never make a video. This can also be true if infront of a camera as I'm sure you want people to see the social side of you and not the unsocial side...am I right?

  • you know fiona since there are people on here that have accused you of being a fake aspie there are certin things about you that are verry aspie like, for instace I rember a while back ago you told me that you only make videos when you are at your most sociable points which this right here is a verry aspie thing as most aspies need time to be alone when it comes to periods heavy socialization it certin happens to me a good bit, hell I got invited to a halloween party this year and ended up....

  • @jeffrielly The fake aspie stuff is stupid. I see no valid reason to fake having something like aspergers. I'd be better of faking I'm rich or a savant or something.

  • @AspergersGirl yea another thing I'v notticed to is that some people have stated that you look directley into the camera but then again if one was to watch close enough you do kind of have a shifty glance with it which is yet another trait, I think it's stupid to assume one not to have simply because they are a different personality type or have something different about them from another person with it. I'v had people tell me there is no way I can have it people are just ignorant and those....

  • @AspergersGirl are the ones that I interact the least with if there in my dailey life ( acouple of them are co-workers) and don't talk to them unless I absolutley have too, therse always going to be people who just don't get it, but so long as they atleast try then I'm ok with it since that's all you can realy ask of anyone

  • Hi Fiona, I am currently doing a course on mental health disorders and I came across your videos while looking at things on youtube, they are really interesting. I knew a fair bit about Aspergers anyway as this boy in my college years ago had it and my friends son has it. I often think I have some sort of social anxiety disorder as I get very nervous going out on my own, I'm incredibly shy and don't know what to say to new people so I understand a little of what you go through. Keep making vids!

  • @GossipGirlVDW Thanks, and nice to meet you :)

  • I'm exactly like that too but I stay clear of medication, I think stuff you mention you have is what makes you, you and I dont believe in meds to fix whatever personality you are

  • @ingridbb6 My med don't. They fix a medical problem.. anxiety. Anxiety isn't who I am - it is an illness. They don't do anything for aspergers except help me deal with the symptoms :)

  • The side effects from those pills are most likely caused by candida. Unfortunately, the more pills you take, the worse the candida will be. Try Threelac and capryllic acid to clear it up. Good luck.

  • @SuperWazVideos Thats interesting. Can you elaborate more on why anti depressants would cause canida?

  • @AspergersGirl I'm no doctor, but if you read Candida and Allergies by Steven Rochlitz, it gives a great understanding of how many drugs cause the build up of candida, which in turn cause the symptoms you mentioned to name just a few (sleeplessness is a big one). My little girl possibly has Aspergers or something else on the autistic spectrum and since starting Threelac, she's been like a different person.

  • Why are u getting hate on this video ?

  • @zJAMx Because someone used a you tube like exchange service to down spam my video.

  • @AspergersGirl When then, they should Fuck off and die because i have AS to.

  • Is brunette or blond your natural hair color?

  • @oracle2world Funny you should ask. It's closer to blonde than this actually. But It's more a medium brown

  • OI, aspiegirl you CANT HAVE aspergers syndrome AND OCD because OCD people have "illogical" thoughts whilst on the other hand its an aspergian trait to be "LOGICAL". So its a sort of mixed message. Btw your fit, might that have something to do with saying u have aspergers syndrome

  • @TheSchemer1

Learn a bit about stuff please. They're called intrusive thoughts and you don't have control over them. The person usually knows what is logical and has the thoughts, but what they do is irrational because the irrational thought has overpowered any logic. It's very common for people with ASD's to also have OCD. And I don't understand what you mean by your last sentence.

  • @AspergersGirl oh just some people use their looks to gain attention thats all just wondered if u wre one of those

  • @TheSchemer1 I'm sorry? What does that have to do with OCD brain function clashing with Aspergers?

I can safely assure you I don't use my "looks" for attention. I plan to prove this by showing everyone my "attention seeking" wardrobe of old holy t-shirts and ugly bike shorts. That's what I wear usually. That hardly screams "attention seeker" to me.

  • @AspergersGirl And the reason why OCD clashes with aspergers is because aspergers trait is "logic" an OCD trait is "illogical fears, thoughts etc".

  • @TheSchemer1 That's just taking what it says at face value. If you understand what it means you will realise they don't clash.

  • @TheSchemer1 Also If I wanted to use my looks for attention, then please tell me why I'm wasting time increasing awareness instead of making videos of myself in a bikini or flirting with people. Please, tell me. Because what you said is completely illogical. And going by your logic, that must mean you don't have aspergers. /roll eye.

  • @AspergersGirl I said i "just wondered" not fully concluding that you did. But I had my suspicions...

  • @TheSchemer1 Sorry for snapping but I get sick of these sort of accusations based on the way I look or how I appear on a video - because I look the same as everyone else, and you can't diagnose someone over the internet.

  • @AspergersGirl Its all right i just had to be sure thats all before I make my conclusive judgements and all that.

  • Comment removed

  • @Efetida I want some

  • @Efetida No, isn't that an ADD drug? I probably need it.

  • Since the medications I'm on has that sleeping side effect I wondering how you manage it because I can't.

  • @JasonLee215 Some of them were embarassing. I might make a video of them but I'm not sure yet.

At school I just moped around other misfits that I didn't fit in with and wished lunchtime to be over.

Yes, At high school, the majority of the bullying was because of my OCD.

  • I wanna try tricyclic antidepressants to see what effects they have on me. The psychoactives I've tried are mainly the ones you find on the street. The prescription ones I've tried are strattera (weird, weird drug), ritalin (way too many side effects), dexedrine (works but has plenty of side effects) and zolpidem (trippy stuff, I like it but I wake up the next day sleep deprived).

  • I'm on dexedrine. It cures my ADD and drowsiness but amplifies my autism symptoms 1000 fold.

  • Sounds like about the same as yourself. On a side note I just started my videos if you want to put a face to my name.

  • I had the same issues with my first medication cocktail. I started taking 36 mg of Celexa about eight years ago. Also a high fiber diet is something that I started at about the same time. Setting aside time for my interest to has been a huge help with my AS. What are your ields of interest if you mind me asking?

  • @Aspieborn What fibre do you eat? I need to eat bran, lots of fruit, prunes and figs. Every day.

  • @danilovely93 It was very difficult. Ages 12-14 I had severe OCD and it nearly ruined my life. At high school (senior years) I didn't fit in with any groups.

  • @AspergersGirl at what age did things start to get better for you?, for me it seems as if around my jr. year of high school the bullshit from the other kids tapered off, I guess they finaly relized I was actualy more intelectual then they were

  • @jeffrielly When I was 15 I hot the right dose of clomipramine and my OCD symptoms lessened a lot. That was a good year.

In my final two years, I did not get treated badly but I simply got completely ignored by everyone.

  • @AspergersGirl "you hot" hold up now, what are you getting at there!? :P

awww I'm sorry you got ignored in some cases getting ignored can be worse the getting treated badly! did you have atleast one friend? I mean a real friend, I was fortunate to have had some but they alwase kinda kept things secrete as far as being a friend of mine, guess they did'nt want any one to know they were friends with "the weired kid" but I'm am thankful that they did choose to be a friend of mine.

  • Dang, You seem very confident and happy for someone with OCD, Anxiety and Asperger's. Is the medication that good?

Maybe i should go see a doctor

  • @MindFxckd You know, I only make videos when I'm in a good place. That explains why I hardly ever make them.

  • Great video ! I have a diagnosis of atypical asperger's syndrome, OCD & mild to moderate depression. I think your amazing beacuse I fully understand what life is like living with similar difficulties to yourself & I agree that clomipramine does have it's negative side effects but it is also a very theraputic antidepressant for people who have obsessions and intrusive thoughts. Keep up the great videos :)

  • we take the same amount 225 mg we have the same side effects dont you love sleeping all the time I would like to talk with you let me know if i could contact you.

  • Why does every Aspie look so much younger than they are? You are one of them btw.

  • you are so pretty ^^

  • Not meant to be provocative or inflammatory.

I wonder if you have ever smoked weed.

If so, what kind experience did you have?

I understand how it calms nerves especially with nervousness and anxiety, but I cannot however, comprehend Aspergers.

I personally do not smoke weed, but at times I feel maybe I should LOL

  • What dossage are you on? I'm on 75mg of Chlomipramine, and I've been on it for 7 years now. It's a good medication but I still get bouts of depression.

  • @tommeasor A llooooot more than that. 225mg.

  • Im glad I dont need medication, I seem to have gradually got rid of most of my symptoms, many of them before I even knew that I had a condition (I just thought I was weird) I find it best just to not hide behind it, there. There are a few Aspies who use the condition as an excuse to be awkward around people or just shut them out. Don't see it as an illness, see it as an opportunity to develop into something better than youre average dumbarse NT who views anything different as dangerous.

  • Make sure you see a doc who knows about aspergers and take small doses to start with if you havnt tryd it immersion therapy where you face your fear of not doing your compulsion with a therapist can be good,

Have you invistigated things like antihistamines like benadryl and also bach flower remdies and melatonin im not a psych so check anything new out with your dr

  • first of all I just wonder (I'm a Swede so sorry if my English is a little bad...) why there is o many dislikes? I just don't understand... and second of all, I'm taking Sertaline (or Zoloft as it is also called) at the moment, and I have to say that it works quite well for me (it's actually just for depressions and anxiety). the first two weeks can be a little tough though since the anxiety and/or depression can get worse :S. but for me personal, they work quite fine...

  • I hear oral sex is the best thing for anxiety...and I'm the cunnilingus master, baby.

  • Thanks for the info aspergersgirl I'll see if my doc will perscribe me : )

  • Don't medicate or suppress your aspergers, embrace it! It's not all negative you know, we have a level of focus that 'norms' could only dream of. Use it to become a master of what you enjoy doing. I've heard that Steven Spielberg has aspergers, and just look at what he has accomplished.

  • @budwick Sometimes, those with Asperger's cannot function properly without their meds. Without my meds, my energy goes all wacko ranging from a lot of it, to so little of it, that I feel tired. I also cannot concentrate in school and most importantly, cannot do my homework without my meds.

  • I've never heard of meds-control before. Never tried them and, as far as I know, I don't need them.

I control my "symptoms" with a diet. Wheat and Milk makes my Aspergers WAY worse among other things; so, by not eating anything with wheat or milk in, I can function better. =]

Threw myself into a College environment. Suffered but I adapted. Somehow. XD

Still have the odd tinge of a panic attack when I'm thrown into a place I don't recognise by myself and think I'm lost... >.< Hate that feeling..

  • Are u single? ur hot!

  • Are you from New Zealand? So am I, and I have Aspergers also. Not sure if i need medication yet however.

  • Have you ever 'plugged' a pill up your @ss?

  • Alcohol and Marijuana usually helps me alot.

  • I'm med free. Win.

  • What dose did you start on, im going on it now 25mg a night, are the side effects bad at first? I;m on zoloft and it's working at helping my Depression, but anxiety is high :L

    I have Depression/anxiety and aspergers :)

  • You have amazing eyes!

  • So then, sweet pea, what meds have they been suggesting for you? I find that ones which calm down my irritability work good, but they gave me aripiprazole for that and the side effects were TERRIBLE (please don't ever agree to take antipsychotics, they rip out your nervous system), but there are plenty of other 'chill pills' that help make us more acceptable to other people when we need to be. x

  • My son is on Adderall and Abilify.

  • Hi, I'm an Non-diagnosed Aspergian, I hate that term but Aspie sounds worse. Just found your videos and it is always great to find someone like myself.

Are you diagnosed? What are the benefits or disadvantages of being diagnosed if you are?

  • Interesting vid :)

I take Prozac and Concerta. In addition to having AS/NLD (no one's sure what I have exactly), I've suffered with depression, so that's where the Prozac comes in. I've found that the dosage must be just right. If it's too low OR too high, I go a bit crazy lol.

Concerta seems to help with my alertness & work with the Prozac to stabilize my mood (that's my theory anyway). A side effect is decreased appetite, which is good for me because I'm a bit overweight :P

  • She acts like a child...why? Also it kinda seems contradictory to say that "aspies" dont actually have a problem but then to proceed and actually to encourage treatment with medication. If they dont have a problem then surely they dont need to treat anything? So sad to see people medicating themselvs.

  • Now you're a brunette?

I love you even harder now. :O

  • When I was 16 I was given Trazodone for my anxiety and after 1 pill I was very weak, confused and dizzy. Ever since that I was worried about harsh side effects from meds for Aspergers related problems.

Now I'm taking Venlafaxine and Zopliclone. I still have some problems with anxiety but I function better then when I don't take anything. I'm still afraid of harsh side effects due to the fact that I have trouble coping with them.

  • Do you know what, I realized that it's not me that needs the meds, but everyone else around me. I wish everybody else would get medicated so I can enjoy my life in peace. :)

  • Those who are anti-meds obviously don't know what it feels like to have any mental disorder. I'm fortunate enough that I don't need anything strong- I'm on 20mg Lexapro, which has no side effects for me. I'm glad you found something that works for you. Best of luck!

  • You are ADORABLE, grl!

  • Just noticed the shirt....lol what is it with us aspies and videogames lol

  • is that a mario t-shirt i see? =D

  • I'm on antidepressives (Agomelatine) and antipsychotics (Seroquel). Against the anxiety mostly. The brand new antidepressant is supposed to help you sleep better, but this effect faded away for me after a week. The problem is I now need 12-13 hours of sleep a day, instead of 8. Which sucks, but I'd rather not go crazy from all my fears instead.

  • L-theanine is an amino acid nutritional suppliment derived from green tea. It works well for my anxiety. I'm not quite sure about the OCD. Try Googling aspergers L-theanine. Good luck.

  • I have tried many and none really work much and give me bad side affects... Im tierd of trying new stuff and have quite going to a drug doctors

  • I have tried many and none really work much and give me bad side affects

  • I found when I struggled that medication made it worse.. It was actually doing marching band that helped me with it all :)

Also.. for me having higher neurotransmitters, such as the ones you get from the serotonin in turkey can really help..

    Also.. Check out Neurobiofeedback..

I have all of this, same time period, but you can beat it ;) (Especially the OCD :) )
