  • that thing must hual, you took thew governor off?

  • well if ya wanna get rid of some parts private message me what you have and ill see what i want and ill buy thanks JC

  • well if u could find it i would be very greatful honestly you can take a look at my gokart its ok not to spiffy

  • well ill still buy it cuz i have mine that i need to fix up and i could use the parts off urs

  • @muddymanify Ill see if I can find all the pieces for the thing, Ive got a huge bucket full of parts and junk from go karts and engines and its also a possiblilty that my dad trashed it... hes a neat freak

  • hey do you have the torque converter still? ill buy it from you

  • @muddymanify yeah ive got it but its not in very good shape which was one of the reasons i changed it out. it would barely work and all the bearings in it were just about shot

  • nice. u gotta check my 11hp go kart out once i get the engine and everything put on it next week!

  • Awesome! I'll check it out for sure. What clutch are you running on yours?

  • i really don't know yet. havent bought all the stuff. im going to buy a clutch from comet kart prolly this weekend. i havent gotten my kart running yet

  • @4x4maniac89

    Chain drive or belt?

What do you think is better ?

also can you rebuilt build comet clutches ( the belt kind) I I think I burned mine. and I read somewhere that you can do a clutch rebuilt on them

  • It all depends i guess. i havent really had much experience with the chain drive(centrifugal clutch) but this kart had a torque converter(belt drive then to a chain drive) and it was good as long as it had a decent belt. Im thinkin about goin to just a plain belt drive for this kart with a tensioner clutch in it. They can be a pain to rebuild but as long as you have good parts it should be fine

  • @walter7093 well i use a comet clutch and people will say thay are bad- but belt clutches and chain clutches on gocarts are normally fine unless the assembly is in two peices-i brought a new clutch and myc carts chain still slips!

  • did you sepcial order it?

  • Nah they had it in stock. There weren't very many of em but this one did the job. It's a comet clutch too and had a 90 day warranty

  • hi is that a 1 inch shaft and if it is where did you get yours i need to get one too but cant find one thanks

  • Yeah the engine has a 1 inch shaft and I got the clutch from northern tool for like 70 bucks
