She is awesome!! This is the first time that I heard her talk in Spanish. She speaks it wonderfully. Me encanta su accento!! Nice to have a Latina on the Enterprise!!
She talks about Spock and Uhura being suited because of their similarities in personality in that they're both very strict and perfectionists and sort of closed off to the outside world, but they only break/open up for each other. When everyone laughs in the middle it's because she jokes about thinking JJ was crazy, but then he was like "O RLY?" and she realized how much sense it made.
Just something to the effect of, "Maybe later it'll be Kirk [for Spock to open up to] but for now it's all good."
She actually starts off talking about how much she likes Kirk and Spock's friendship with them being such different people, so it's actually likely that the question to which she was responding was something about Spock/Uhura in relation to Spock and Kirk's epic BFFery.
