for some moves with Rancid, do a half-circle toward opponent and pressing both right and left arms at same time, you will slide along the ground with the chainsaw to knock them down. To do a Chun-Li style "tap-dance on your head" move, jump towards your opponent and halfway up the jump press both left and right kick at same time, if you do it right you'll land quite a few head blows (dizzy!) Fighting Thugg 2nd round, press all 5 attack buttons and get instant Perfect Death. Works all the time!

@ViVaLaRan yes there is a Time Killers game for Sega Genesis, Google search "Time Killers (USA).zip" for it, you should find the No-Intro rom for it, it's a proper dump of the game. But you will be disappointed as it is nowhere near as good as the arcade version.

I LOVE THIS GAME. Better than Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter II. The fighting is fast paced and you can die at any given moment in a round! I played this shit at a local mexican store and a local laundromat when it was new, loved it.

Mantazz was most difficult character to master - he had so many moves.

His attacks didn`t do much damage and he was not the fastest character, but he had the largest number of ways to lop off an opponents head in the middle of a match.

Demos of Time Killers on youtube suck cuz they do not show off most of the special moves characters can do.

I played Mantaaz alot - he had the most different ways to lop off somebody's head but took time to master playing him. Rancid was popular - probably because he was the easiest to learn to play (sort of like Chun Li in StreetFighter II). Orion was the cheapest bastard, though, if you knew what you were doing with him - though not enough players gave him a try to find out a proper way to cheat with him.

Omg I remember I used to go the arcades just to play this game. Quick tip for anybody out there with the MAME version, you can only beat Death by cutting his head off. You can kill him the first round but the game wont let you win with out cutting his head off.

what happens is when you deplete his health, he gets dizzy (only character that can be dizzied multiple times in one round), and gets something like 50% health back. Obviously, the dizzy is your cue to whack 'im. You can't do the special kill, but just mash all 5 buttons at once for the standard.

I remember playing this game at the arcade, it came out around the same time period of the fighting game craze SF2 and MK started. The company that made this: Strata are still around but as providers of 3D plug ins for Photoshop and other programs, nothing videogame related. The irony is that they made an arcade version of Peggle way back in 1990. I bet they are kicking themselves now that Popcap games is making a fortune out of it. Kinda the same it happened to Konami with Guitar Freaks.

More or less, yes. When you hit the opponent the right way, they will become dizzy, then approach them and press all 5 buttons. Your character will chop off all of his/her limbs and finally the head for an instant kill.

people need to relize this game is very dated, Amazed it wasn't more popular than Mortal Kombat at the time. But I still play the mame on my xbox that final boss is damn near impossible.

That's because the final boss cannot be defeated in a 2-out-of-3 match normally, he must be decapitated with a Death Move or a Super Death Move in order to beat the game (just push all the five buttons at once to decapitate him or push all five buttons near him when he's stunned) Good luck!
