Firestorm didn't win because he didn't actually do anything. Flipper robots are very over rated. If you can do some damage with them, then it's good. If you can flip them out of the arena, then it's great. But to flip them on their, and they have a self righting mechanism...that just gives them style points. Also the axe proved it's a decent one as it actually got stuck in the outer shell of Firestorm. Good match, Dominator deserved the win on style.

Battlebots? You couldn't flip anyone OOTA, and the robots weren't as good good as RW. However, the designs of the Battlebots robot were more interesting. I still prefer RW.

To be frank, he was more agressive, but there was pretty much no way he could have won this.

Dominator has a self-righting mechanism and Firestorm lacks the flipper power to throw him over the edge.

I thought Firestorm should have won in the end. Dominator axed a couple of holes in Firestorm but Firestorm was far more aggressive. I guess style and control were more or less even though.

the re-dubbed commentary is really annoying on the US airing of this show. Makes it so much worse. It doesn't make any sense to do that. It detracts from the authenticity of the show, and Americans love British accents anyway.

I know robot wars was a live event in San Fran from 1994-1997. But this version of robot wars was supposed to be UK. Anyway, wouldn't it have cost more to add the extra commentary that to just keep JP. They should have kept it as it was.

Yeah they should of kept JP. He was easy to understand and was a good commentator. It's wasn't Robot Wars themselvs that changed the commentator it was the TV channels it aired on. It's all about ratings so if the show was not getting good enough ratings the TV channel will cancel the show or change it a bit. Robot Wars ratings were not that high with Battlebots on the air so the had to change it and after awhile cancel it.
