  • There is a huge difference between an allen electronic and real pipe organ, our church has an Allen, it makes me gag, we are trying to replace it with a real pipe organ...

  • Two TRUE MASTERS of organ music play RUTTER!!!

    This is unparalleled!

  • I've played this piece before...it can be played on one organ by two organists.

  • That was amazing!

  • I bet

    1. Coral Ridge is wondering why it paid for an expensive 5 manual pipe organ when the 4 manual electronic sounds so similar (?)

    2. John Rutter doesn't sell too many copies of this work (not many churches with two grand organs in them....)

    Superb playing.

  • It's a recording you can't tell the difference if your there in real life you can.

and i wonder that too howmany churches have 2 organs unless it's the frieburg cathedral that has 4 grand organs in one building....... and i guess the Rodgers was a rental

  • you may be able to imitate the sound of a pipe organ, but the tambre and quality of the instrument just cannot be duplicated =D

  • simon and I played Naji's Rhapsody in Calgary in 1994. across the park from Jack Singer Concert Hall.

we were quite pleased with ourselves.

then i played the Jongen Sonata Eroica for him, from memory. no great feat, but i played Sowerby for Dr. Crozier the next day.

    Simon's great. Bish, passable.

Anyways, it's still pretty fun to listen to and watch.

  • Oh my goodness, talk about precision!

  • This was a fabulous episode.
