Super Mario Galaxy has become nostalgic now. I love the music used in the game. This music is amazing. Maybe this is how they made the music for the game. :P
Just curious, do you use Garriton Orchestra? Sound's way better than my finale midi. Anyways, really good job with the piece, very impressive. You should include cymbal crashes with the timpani hits that you included. Just a suggestion. Very good overall.
just wanna say i think you did a great job with this. there's been a lot of trashy midis from this game submitted to vgmusic so it's good to see someone getting it right :P
WOW WOW WOW this is my favorite song from SMG. You did an AWESOME job on this! What version is this? It sounds much better than the 2007 version I have!
If you go to the top of the screen and hit Window>Instrument List, you can open a list of all the instruments. All you do is change the different layers by clicking the dropdown menu, and making a new instrument.
I do that for transposing instruments like Bb trumpet or Horn in F, by changing the sound of a non-transposing instrument like a guitar.
It's much easier to make the music that way. I also use that feature for stuff like two different volumes of timpani (green is much louder).
BTWW Connor I was wodering on the top of my head if you are tone death or not? Haha jk... you REALLY have to be talented to pull that off! Sucks that notepad isn't free anymore.
it would have sounded even cooler at 1:18 if there was a snare that kept the beat. it wasn't in the origional song, but i just think it would sound cool. Anyway, as normal: 5/5
There IS a snare playing at 1:18. It's just a little too quiet. The snares in finale notepad don't sound good, so I didn't want it to be too loud and ruin the other better sounding parts.
Holy druida explosives, Batman! Are you just a genius prodigy at notating music by ear, or can you compose convoluted songs that sound this good as well?
what do the red notes mean??????

@8MasterX drums are a little messed up on finale notepad

Wow! If you made this yourself, I think you should work for Nintendo's orchestra. I mean, just listen to that beautiful piece!
I actually think this sounds better than the original one.
20/10 stars! Yeah, that's right, you broke the star rate meter.

Thanks! This is '07, but I changed the string sounds to "string ensemble" because the normal string sounds are terrible, and I added reverb.
You can do all that by going to windows->Instrument List
GRonnoc 2 years ago
I don't think I can do it. I got free download of it

Do you have Super Mario Galaxy? I'm really close to the end, I'm stuck on the final galaxy on the way to Bowser.

i kept thinking at places where the tuba had the melody that that one high pitched note would be natural, not sharp. Oh, well.
KNDoperative 3 years ago
The tuba never has the melody. I think what you're hearing is the French horn and trombone.
Which note do you mean? The one at 1:22?

also; prince of egypt (lolol)
