Love The Boosh and Julian's gig on 'Nathan Barley'...
And for those who simply don't get it.... Why post unkind comments? (Go watch Michael McIntyre, you Tw*t!) I'm sure your rudeness simply makes Mr. Barratt seek solace in pretty females, uncut powder (Johnson's!!!!) and posher champagne... The poor unfortunate man..... x SF
A genuinely unfunny man. Do you remember when you'd seen something on TV at night when you were a kid, then everyone'd be repeating it the next morning in school, in a really unfunny way..? I reckon he watched Vic Reeves Big Night out the evening before. Painful to watch such a dignity stripping, cringe inducing unfunny routine. Note how nobody really actually laughs very loud. And how disappointed Barry Cryer looks. A modern version of the Emporer's New Clothes.
@chrisotherstuff i suppose some divine creature landed down from heaven and blessed you with the mother of all brains rendering you all-knowing and correct in all your verdicts and just to condemn fellow men unfunny and funny as if no such thing as an individual sense of humor existed. as if your comment had any resonance. if you have nothing nice to say, why say anything at all?
@cidp012 In essence, I agree with what you said but at the same time there are comedy awards with judges... Though there are funny moments in this video I don't think he's as funny as he is with Noel and vice/versa. If Bill Bailey was doing a set and not just playing with his band, my PERSONAL TASTE would have led me to vote for him... each to their own, eh? Give all comedians a grand I say

OK, what to do next. Try to write something aggressive, demeaning and ultimately aggressive and cruel about me - over to damnedcarrot, ladies and gentlemen, the last word is his!!!!
@chrisotherstuff It appears that YouTube is ALL about angry people venting themselves. But take heart as most of these people are 14 year-olds with nothing better to do with their lives.
breathtaking. marvelous. he's so beautiful i want to punch myself in the face. look at his eyes, they are the best eyes i have ever seen. his shoes.. they are on his feet... genius... but seriously, what's with the mega crush circle jerk here? some teenage girls are strange...
I know what you mean. I'm a matt berry and richard ayoade man myself, I don't see why people like Julian and the femeine guy (i forget his name) so much
@calumhm I've actually never seen Julian's stand-up 'til now, and I'm not quite sure how to feel, but I've seen Noel Fielding (the femme man you describe) and he's quite creative. He's very clever and creative, winding through stories and whatnot. It's a bit refreshing to see something different. But, mainly I like the two not for stand-up but for what they've managed to do with the Mighty Boosh. That's like imagination fuel. And they both seem like really nice people most can relate to.
I have always thought that julian was teh funniest on the boosh. I think that Noel is a great character actor but juliam is a much better comedian. He is off the wall and technically brilliant whereas noel is just bizarre for the sake of being bizarre.
Julian's from Leeds too, my neck of the words and also the true capital of the UK, y'see London is a decoy and I only know this information because it was accidentally beamed into my brain during a routine cat scan.
@channelwilko yeah that's what I was wondering, whether the radio commission was used for the Boosh radio series... but there appears to be no documentation of what he did with it anywhere...
Julian! You are the line between crazy and genius! He's so unbelievably endearing. Who could blame Noel for loving Julian? Do you see him? Oh dear sweet Julian....I'm going to name my first born after you.
