lol he moved the tent.isnt that suposed to be attached to the ground with stakes.?he is tripping really really bad.it is creeepy i wish i could take that plant one time.
Ayahuasca is fun. But NEVER trip with people who have no respect for #1 The Jungle, #2 Their Companions, #3 Hallucinogenic drugs. If you know people who don't respect you, the jungle or drugs, DON'T trip with them. Something else, people dwelling on bad experiences right before tripping are just begging for a bad time. You'd have to be a tripping neophyte to think it's a good idea to wallow in sorrow of dead people upon entering a trip. Ridiculously stupid. Think happy thoughts.
@1995Nekfeu You can NOT know what you're getting yourself into. DMT is beyond human imagination. Nothing can prepare you. That you will be overwhelmed is almost inevitable. But it may either be in a fantastic, exceedingly beautiful way (most often), or go totally the other way around.
@1995Nekfeu There's more to it than just that. He didn't care to learn about what he was getting himself into, and thus he didn't respect what he was doing. When people do aya in the religious sense, they know everything about what is going to happen to them before they do it (minus the vision itself and the specific epiphanies). He didn't know, he didn't care. That... is disrespect.
Btw, aya is generally illegal for consumption, so don't expect people to divulge that sort of information.
Walking around in the jungle is the last thing you want to do !!! A good Shaman will chant & mind over you while you are comfortable sitting on a mattress on the floor. The only time you need to get up & move around should be to purge & maybe relieve your bowels. But the main thing about doing the ceremony is to CLOSE YOUR EYES to get the full benefit of the Ayahuasca. My first experience in the Peruvian jungle was amazing & the Shaman chanted & minded us over for the whole 6 hour period..
Ayahuasca is sacred. You cannot do this. She is there whenever we need help. She is beyond our beliefs an concept. Her and other beings are love. Just trying to help us. I could not watch this video.
One of the problems these guys had was they took Ayahuasca that had too much toe (pronounced toe-way), which is sometimes used as an admixture. When it goes on for that long, it means the cooker probably used too much toe. It's very long lasting and not too pleasant.
It's intense being alone in the jungle, and for sure these guys needed some serious chaperoning. Luckily they didn't run into a jergon or shushupe. Chullachaqui's out there, too, and he can create problems and can be dangerous.
Ayahuasca is not about humans; it's about another reality and leaving the world of human experience. Ayahuasca doesn't have a concern about our problems. I've seen many come, looking for answers to personal questions. The problems can come for those who try to connect to Ayahuasca on their terms and to solve their problems. It's not about you or me; it's something alien and non-human.
Black Ayahuasca is powerful and should be avoided by neophytes. They should have taken a drink of Cielo.
@8drewski Ayahuasca's not our friend, at least not in a certain sense, and She isn't there to guide us to anything or help us work through our problems. We Westerners love to bring everything into our paradigm and harness it and use it to our advantage. Why would Ayahuasca want to help you or me? As a whole, what have we done for Pachamama? Probably not too much. Maybe we should recognize the ultimately inconsequential nature of our existence vis a vis Ayahuasca. *Communion with the Other*.
in my opinion, one of the men was alot more respectful, then the other, one let the medicine drive him into a bad state, the other remind calm to a degree, and tried to make understanding of things. Thats just my opinion however.
i agree no respect was given by them although those feeling are hard to control, something takes over you. he should have started it off by explaining to him he needs to remain calm and stay seated.. before he was trippin out already. the shaman seems to not be to expiereanced o.o although in this case usually if you disrespect by not taking the trip in a very spiritual way, the shaman will no longer speak to you.
I would probably have a bad trip. The vomiting part while hallucinating would freak me out beyond belief since I have only vomited a few times in my whole life of 44 years.
i would love to try ayahuasca someday, to gain spritual enlightenment, but i dont think i truley understand the sacredness behing this medicine. hopefully i will someday, so i can understand myself and become one with whatever greater power there is out there
And you're a racist moron. If you had the spine to take some of the trips I've had, you'd hopefully realise and deal with that mental cancer *within* you. Pity you have no spine.
A sad abuse of a sacred plant for the sake of viewing figures.
why not just take their land away and slaughter them all whilst you are there.
btw, something very strange happened. When the Shaman says "tell me what you are hoping the plant will tell you" I did not read it but heard it said in English. I was typing when he said it and later rewound the video and watched the start and there were subtitles...... strange shit.
How do you make the jump to slaughtering and taking land from this? That unfortunately says more about your negativity than theirs. They were attempting to take Ayahuasca in a ritual environment, with what they hoped was a responsible Shaman (but unfortunately wasn't) and were seeking answers. They wasn't taking it, at a party or recreationally so they were most definitely not abusing or disrespecting anything. The 'shaman' left laughing with American dollars in his pocket.
So what, it's not light entertainment it is a serious documentary series. They lived with tribes for several months and both are serious journalists and explorers, and both care deeply about conservation etc. The mistakes here are all the poorly chosen Shaman's. I've took part in an Ayahuasca ceremony and received better care and guidance than this, so it was ultimately more rewarding. If this opens the mind and encourages one person to seek some answers, it is a job well done.
@GhibliFan1 " The 'shaman' left laughing with American dollars in his pocket." this is the grotesqueness that you can't see. You just can't understand or see it.
What a couple of fools, this is in NO WAY the real experience, in fact is disrespectful to something great and millenary and missinformative to audiences. First, you just don't do it alone at night in the jungle, there´s usually a group of people sharing it with music, and sometimes fire. There's no "sacred" questions to any spirits, the only questions ayahuasca gives you are for yourselve only. You need to be mentally and fisically prepared for the journey, the shaman is a fake!
@gilbertobm in any ayahuasca ceremony, there should be a question that the 'pilgrim' is asking of the tea. This question should be constantly thought about and returned to. It is your guide to the journey. The goal is to let the tea answer the question for you. Ayahuasca is a very, very powerful substance. It will usually generate a chain of seemingly important epiphanies on the tail end of the trip. The answer to your question is usually revealed in that time.
@ConfuciousDragon are you trying to describe the experience to someone who has lived it more than 11 times? Ayahuasca is more than "question to be answered", is more than just a chain of epiphanies. The way that is presented in this video is abusive in the use of the medicine and misinformative to global audiences. The medicine is about becoming one with god, the universe, the earth and yourself. Is not a Q&A game, is not a solution to a problem, that's a pragmatic description
@geraldazzopardi true but that was hen you experienced it, other people react differently to drugs, freaking the fuck out on ayauasca is perfectly normal.
@RammsteinFan1100 yes it a 1 of the many psychoactive substances that are only orally active if taken with an mAOI. Without the maoi this drink would do nothing.
@thegrandwazoooo Not even the littlest bit close. Ayahuasca contains the worlds strongest hallucinogen, DMT. Smoked DMT will last about 20 minutes with lingering effects for about an hour. Ayahuasca on the other hand can last up to 6 hours. NEVER... underestimate the saying, "DMT will kick your ass to the end of the universe", with shrooms your still pretty grounded.
@mdiddy6672 Interesting ...so how is it that the Sante Diame or whatever cult arent totally off their heads? And why the brazilian government says there is no lasting damage froma yahuasca?Because I know from experience that mushrooms put boot your head out of it for years.
@thegrandwazoooo That's actually whats so amazing about DMT! It's already naturally in your body. Every night when you go to sleep, DMT is very active in what we all call dreams. Taking DMT out of a dream state just sends your mind whirling into the dream world with eyes wide open. That is why there is no long lasting effects! I'm speaking from experience myself, long history with psychoactive substances. My 3rd Ayahuasca journey was just last night. You like psylicybin? You'll love this.
@mdiddy6672 DMT has been SPECULATED to be a part of dreams and REM sleep; you should not be going around spreading misinformation like this, and passing it off as a fact. DMT has been measured to be human fluids such as urine and blood but there has been no conclusive study showing that is produces in the body as a part of natural bodily functions.
@christuhtanify Having smoked DMT, it's my personal opinion that it is involved in REM sleep. It has been studied that DMT is found in ANY form of life. The study found that in every life form they tested, DMT was found. Because testing every life form would be impossible, saying "every" would be incorrect. A conclusion from this study would be that due to humans being a form of life, we produce DMT. The reason for production is still unknown, but it's use in the dream cycle seems feasible.
i dont see at all how these guys were disrespectful, at least based off of this video. it seems more like some of the comments are, by jumping to conclusions about them.
B) He scampers off into the forest. Didn't stay sitting down.
C) He didn't focus on his question. He let everything just race... he was spanked by the tea.
D) It really seems like he's just doing it for the TV show. He shows no respect to the tea as he drinks it. Nor does he seem like he's really trying to get answers.
Yeah, I would agree that he does not respect the plant.
@ConfuciousDragon haha i tried fighting it with shrooms....the more i tried making sense of thing the more they didnt make sense haha it was so intense....kinda scary to
sometimes its not that easy to control things, you have an objective beforehand and then once things start to happen you lose focus of that, i doubt he did that for tv
@TheDJRStyles Yes, this is true; however, he was able to communicate with the camera. This shows that he has enough control over his mind to be able to repeat his question to himself. Granted the shaman should have definitely been aiding a lot more than he was, but the shaman also kind of shut himself off to them. I'm not saying that he didn't have a very real experience, but he definitely did not treat the tea with the proper respect.
IF you have respect for the plant medicine, and IF you get a strong brew along with a shaman who knows what he/she is going, it will show you EVERYTING you need to know.
Not for the faint of heart, but if you like kicking some ego ass and battle some demons (can be GREAT fun for the warrior in you:) there is nothing like it. I just came back from the Tierra Vida healing retreat in Peru and it was absolutely priceless. Check out my youtube video EAG5bf1cW7g
survival international [dot] org wrote this about ‘Mark & Olly- Living with the Machigenga’: ' A TV series about an Amazonian tribe has been slammed as ‘staged, false, fabricated and distorted’ by experts on the tribe. Since we alerted the press, the BBC has reportedly demanded an explanation from the programme’s makers.
An 18 hour trip!!! If one chooses to do this common sense should tell you to start in the morning, not BEGIN the trip going on your second day WITHOUT rest. Wow.
Don't mean to disrespect but why are they so stupid? Stones don't have spirits? The plants don't actually have spirits? The GOD who created them IS SPIRIT. And why do they do it at NIGHT?
but in saying al lthat, i think this shaman was smart enough to know, that these 2 men have never taken it before, so he may have given them a smaller dose for them to see how they'd handle it, and from the looks of it, they had enough.
its like they say "if you have too much it can be a bad experience, if you have to less its not as good , but the perfect dose is what you need.
yeh i can agree with kalagan on this, when i took DMT in a form thats smokeable, within the first like 5 secs, i was laughing my head off, and within a click of a finger i went completely quiet and i was totally blind, couldnt see anything, but what i did see, was immensly invigorating.
i didnt speak for a whole 25 mins, thats until i came back to my body.
but inbetween all the tripping and so on, i was somewhat aware of what was going on, but had 0 control over what was happening
Thats not real Ayahuasca ceremony. You re not supposed to move or open your eyes much. Not chanting either, this shaman isn't real shaman, chanting is half of the ceremony. Completely unintersting document
Fake. This stuff makes salvia feel like weed. They shouldn't be able to move or talk. I mean no shit it must be fake, this is a freaking mainstream TV show. They want you to think dmt is however they portray it, not how it really is.
Yagé is not addictive. On the contrary it helps you to get free of addictions. I had a very strong drug habit problem and the experience with ayahuaska helped me to leave all those. It also helped me to be a more loving and kind person with my family, my friends and all the people surrounding me. The days after the experience you feel full of strenght and determination for improving your way of living and for leavibg behind all the things taht keep you stuck, atachments, fears, bad habits, etc
Heard of this a few years ago. It's gonna be hard to convince healthy people of "medicine" that the body rejects 100% of the time by vomiting.. Some people vomit every day, i know, but some don't vomit at all because they know how to treat the body. A sign of total well-being is physical health. No one NEEDS to take this to achieve enlightenment. It's free-will.
The only effect that is common for most of the people isvomiting, because youre cleaning body, mind and heart. When you´re pure enough, or ready enough you have visions of animals, or the jungle, but there´s not a general effect like with other drugs. DMT is just one of the many components tha Yage has, because Taitas mix different kinds of plants according to thier knowledge and their tradition. It helps you to be a better human being, to find wich is the best path for connecting God.
@JPABLOification okay that makes sense.. most people. From the context in which i learned about it, i only heard about regular and routine (spiritual/ ritualistic) use by entire tribal communities including children, and no one got sick. It sounds to me that the level of enlightenment plays a part. Anyway it is a great and informative vid and thanks!
I´ve taken Yage seven times with a very respectful Taita, a very old and wise man. The effect is not the same for all people. Some people fall asleep, others have visions, others do´nt see anything. I think is an intelligent substance because it only shows you what you´re ready to see. In my case it gave me strength and conviction to continue practicing Budhism. I´ve seen people who find Christ, other find Krishna. Yagé shows you which is the best path for you, because we´re all different.
Ayahuasca(Yagé) first of all is a medicine. It is for healing body, mind and heart. It helps you to be a better human being. Taking Yagé is not like taking a drug for recreation. It is not easy because you have to face up with your demons and purify yourself from anger, hate, envy, lust. That´s the reason why you vomit during this ceremonies: because youre cleaning yourself from all the things that don´t let you be an instrument of God´s love. After the ceremony you feel clean and full of love
My most interesting experience while under the effects of Ayahuasca was when I mentally pronounced,
Our Father in heaven
Sanctified be your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
on earth as it's done in heaven.
Each sentence struck my heart and came alive in my imagination. Sadly, religions oppose the mystical. Anyhow, I encourage anyone with Ayahuasca to try out what may be one the most powerful mantras in existence.
While Mark was going crazy and speaking to his tiny imaginary friends, I think I was starting to make since of the drawings, on the painted rock. ... frog ... monkey ... i just kept watching the stone until the next day, trying to watch the battle between the monkey and the frog."
yea buddy, Mark was really fucked up but you were stone sober lol.
ayahuasca's cool but too freaky and hard to make- i'd just reccomend trippin on morning glory seeds, you can find them on eBay for only like $5 an ounce, theyre like LSD but more mellow and much less prone to causing bad trips
@polishkilla94 Ayahuasca doesn't cause bad trips. There's always something to take away from it to better yourself. Some people think it's a bad trip, because they don't want to face the dark parts of themselves.
@Hyperborea2012 If you search Ayahuasca Youtube puts this piece of crap movie on top of the list, while there are SO many more movies that are much better. I had a channel with 200+ movies on Ayahuasca here.. but it was pulled after copyright claims.
@11hunabku11 Could you give me a recommendation on a couple of your favorite videos of ayahuasca on youtube? Also, do you have an opinion on Blue Morpho Ayahuasca Center? Thanks.
that shaman was not professional. just gave it to them in the middle of the jungle... also i think datura was mixed into the ayahuasca because they were still halucinating the next day
this is not how you should take ayahuasca. just sittin there in the open and lets see what happens ? not good. that shaman is supposed be guiding the whole thing
hahah what a fuckin tard. you dont keep it down, throwing up is a ritualistic part of an ayahuasca experience. aha that nigga was trippin baalllllsss tho!
I don't think taking ayahuasca to get over your dead wife isn't a very good idea. When you are still very upset about it, you shouldn't trip. On anything.
I'm kinda stuck in the western world. I really want to have an ayahuasca experience but over here in the west it costs alot to have a session and i don't have enough money to go to Peru. Fucking money...
that shit was crazy they were trippin calls fucken hard in the jungle that nuts man i would be really like to try it but prepare first got to be mentally ready .
i love his little song. :) "ayahuasca is making you have visions..."
i love how direct and to the point shamans are in describing what is happening. we westerners have a need to explain, judge, and label EVERYTHING. we simply cannot just let it BE. though, ayahuasca sort of doesn't give you that choice anymore. it forces you into pure undifferentiated being. it's terrifying if you aren't willing to let go of your ego, but enlightening if you are willing to learn and engage direct experience.

@RammsteinFan1100 yes it is combined with MAOIs

@RammsteinFan1100 yes it a 1 of the many psychoactive substances that are only orally active if taken with an mAOI. Without the maoi this drink would do nothing.

Just like magic psylicybin mushrooms?
thegrandwazoooo 5 months ago
@thegrandwazoooo Not even the littlest bit close. Ayahuasca contains the worlds strongest hallucinogen, DMT. Smoked DMT will last about 20 minutes with lingering effects for about an hour. Ayahuasca on the other hand can last up to 6 hours. NEVER... underestimate the saying, "DMT will kick your ass to the end of the universe", with shrooms your still pretty grounded.
mdiddy6672 4 months ago
@mdiddy6672 Interesting ...so how is it that the Sante Diame or whatever cult arent totally off their heads? And why the brazilian government says there is no lasting damage froma yahuasca?Because I know from experience that mushrooms put boot your head out of it for years.
thegrandwazoooo 4 months ago
@thegrandwazoooo That's actually whats so amazing about DMT! It's already naturally in your body. Every night when you go to sleep, DMT is very active in what we all call dreams. Taking DMT out of a dream state just sends your mind whirling into the dream world with eyes wide open. That is why there is no long lasting effects! I'm speaking from experience myself, long history with psychoactive substances. My 3rd Ayahuasca journey was just last night. You like psylicybin? You'll love this.
mdiddy6672 4 months ago
@mdiddy6672 DMT has been SPECULATED to be a part of dreams and REM sleep; you should not be going around spreading misinformation like this, and passing it off as a fact. DMT has been measured to be human fluids such as urine and blood but there has been no conclusive study showing that is produces in the body as a part of natural bodily functions.
christuhtanify 4 months ago
@christuhtanify Having smoked DMT, it's my personal opinion that it is involved in REM sleep. It has been studied that DMT is found in ANY form of life. The study found that in every life form they tested, DMT was found. Because testing every life form would be impossible, saying "every" would be incorrect. A conclusion from this study would be that due to humans being a form of life, we produce DMT. The reason for production is still unknown, but it's use in the dream cycle seems feasible.

A) He tries to fight the drug. You don't do that.
Yeah, I would agree that he does not respect the plant.

sometimes its not that easy to control things, you have an objective beforehand and then once things start to happen you lose focus of that, i doubt he did that for tv
TheDJRStyles 1 month ago

Check out my youtube video EAG5bf1cW7g

but in saying al lthat, i think this shaman was smart enough to know, that these 2 men have never taken it before, so he may have given them a smaller dose for them to see how they'd handle it, and from the looks of it, they had enough.
its like they say "if you have too much it can be a bad experience, if you have to less its not as good , but the perfect dose is what you need.

yeh i can agree with kalagan on this, when i took DMT in a form thats smokeable, within the first like 5 secs, i was laughing my head off, and within a click of a finger i went completely quiet and i was totally blind, couldnt see anything, but what i did see, was immensly invigorating.
i didnt speak for a whole 25 mins, thats until i came back to my body.
but inbetween all the tripping and so on, i was somewhat aware of what was going on, but had 0 control over what was happening

Thats not real Ayahuasca ceremony. You re not supposed to move or open your eyes much. Not chanting either, this shaman isn't real shaman, chanting is half of the ceremony. Completely unintersting document

JPABLOification 7 months ago
Heard of this a few years ago. It's gonna be hard to convince healthy people of "medicine" that the body rejects 100% of the time by vomiting.. Some people vomit every day, i know, but some don't vomit at all because they know how to treat the body. A sign of total well-being is physical health. No one NEEDS to take this to achieve enlightenment. It's free-will.
mysticaltraveler1111 7 months ago
The only effect that is common for most of the people isvomiting, because youre cleaning body, mind and heart. When you´re pure enough, or ready enough you have visions of animals, or the jungle, but there´s not a general effect like with other drugs. DMT is just one of the many components tha Yage has, because Taitas mix different kinds of plants according to thier knowledge and their tradition. It helps you to be a better human being, to find wich is the best path for connecting God.
JPABLOification 7 months ago
@JPABLOification okay that makes sense.. most people. From the context in which i learned about it, i only heard about regular and routine (spiritual/ ritualistic) use by entire tribal communities including children, and no one got sick. It sounds to me that the level of enlightenment plays a part. Anyway it is a great and informative vid and thanks!
mysticaltraveler1111 5 months ago
It's gonna be hard to convince society to take madicine that the body rejects 100% of the time by vomiting..
mysticaltraveler1111 7 months ago
I´ve taken Yage seven times with a very respectful Taita, a very old and wise man. The effect is not the same for all people. Some people fall asleep, others have visions, others do´nt see anything. I think is an intelligent substance because it only shows you what you´re ready to see. In my case it gave me strength and conviction to continue practicing Budhism. I´ve seen people who find Christ, other find Krishna. Yagé shows you which is the best path for you, because we´re all different.
JPABLOification 7 months ago

For the complete mantra:

ayahuasca's cool but too freaky and hard to make- i'd just reccomend trippin on morning glory seeds, you can find them on eBay for only like $5 an ounce, theyre like LSD but more mellow and much less prone to causing bad trips
polishkilla94 8 months ago
@polishkilla94 Ayahuasca doesn't cause bad trips. There's always something to take away from it to better yourself. Some people think it's a bad trip, because they don't want to face the dark parts of themselves.

i love how direct and to the point shamans are in describing what is happening. we westerners have a need to explain, judge, and label EVERYTHING. we simply cannot just let it BE. though, ayahuasca sort of doesn't give you that choice anymore. it forces you into pure undifferentiated being. it's terrifying if you aren't willing to let go of your ego, but enlightening if you are willing to learn and engage direct experience.
