  • cool phaser effect

  • Meteor is kicking their ass

  • 7:32 Alex Ovechkin right there :D

  • The main reason why american propaganda is demonising USSR is the fact that Stalin entered a gold standard for rouble currency in 1950.

And because USSR's economic was ot based on "interest rate" - main economic weapon of global debt enslavement by NWO evil satanic american scum.

    Americans = idiots

  • @igorvasilevsky i think it defenitely had alot more to do with atomic weapons.

    just saying.

besides the cold war was fucking stupid and never should have happened in the first place.

  • Nice, I like it...sort of hoakey, but in a good, nostalgic way, it doesn't need to be flashy or have tons of noise and stylized action.

It's simplicity is it's brilliance...just like hockey itself.

After all, it doesn't matter if you're Canadian or Swedish or Russian or, like me, American, you WILL understand this.

Just goes to show that where governments can be petty and jsut not understand each other or get along, sport can bring us together.

Long live hockey, and GO ANAHEIM DUCKS!

  • @obiwanobiwan13 go Canadiens !

  • The animation sure isn't Disney Quality!!

  • @toiseywoisey Thanks for compliment, dude!Of course this animation isn't "disney quality",but much better quality!Such a creative animation and true art..!Not this one-track,stupid disney shit.

  • GO RUSSIA!

  • @BowToTheAvatar thanks)) I'm from Russia))

  • @cptjrkov There was unemployment in the late 1980s? And heavy crime? I thought all of that didn't start until the 1990s.

  • @Niffiwan1988-1990s that why my family left

  • @Niffiwan you are right! It did not start until 1991...

  • @cptjrkov

  • @cptjrkov hey fucker shut up!

  • @cptjrkov You are just another stupid emmigrant trying to legitimize his coming to the US ny telling completely awkward and untrue stories about the "horrors" of life in the Soviet Union or Russia. Cut it! We all lived there and just know how much truth is to your stupid stories about "women raped on streets" (are you serious? I think you need professional help!) it's none.

  • @cptjrkov You are a joke and I thibnk you know it yourself. I mean, I'm not making a paradise out of the SU butt yout "stories" are just beyond bad taste.

  • @cptjrkov Russia was not shithole, immigrant. Russia was good place. And don't lie to people that there was unemployment in late 80s. Gorbachev's era of transiting to capitalism was hard and bad, but there was no unemployment. You hate russia because you are like most emigrants from Russia is jew, and because you are nothing in other country, you feel sadness and depression, because nobody is happy if he leaves motherland.

  • hey its Soda Popinski everyone...for fuck sake your a fucking cartoon character go drink vodka and suck Putin's dick im PROUD to have left and become American

  • @cptjrkov

    >PROUD to have left and become American

  • oooh!!great!!!))))this great!!

  • oh my god this is so funny and well made

  • Coward is not playing hockey!!!!)))

  • Dude, all those people who thought that during Communist USSR times the country was backwards and barbaric need to see this and other animations like this, this is great! =D

  • Glad you liked it. Watch some of the other ones on my channel, too. ;-) "Добро пожаловать" is a good one.

P.S. Good heavens... I'm sorry, the sound in this is horribly out-of-sync (though it's fine in parts 2 & 3). I THINK it was in sync when I first uploaded the video, though. Maybe something got screwed up somewhere among the many Youtube updates. The music is not supposed to start until you see the actual title screen.

  • The standard of living in the UK began going up (it was horrible in the Industrial Revolution) only after they began outsourcing much of the hard work to the colonies. Sure, the West is a great place to live now, but can you really look at it as a single place, or does its economy rely on countries where people live in far worse conditions? The Soviet Union, by contrast, was relatively self-sufficient (except for food, and this problem was solved in the 1980s by allowing private farms).

  • What I wonder is, if you actually compare the average standard of living of the old Soviet Bloc, not with the West, but with the West and all of the other poor countries that it relies on for its high standard of living, in which is the average higher? Most of us who use the internet are living in elite countries - we're the aristocrats of the world.

  • @Niffiwan are you trying to tell me what my life was like?

women got raped in open streets... TRUE after 1990 it got worse

AND i did mesh pre-CCCP and post CCCP conditions but still it was not a good place to live in the mid 80s

  • @cptjrkov I don't know about your life, I just know what family members and friends have told me. Where they lived, it was quite safe in the 1980s (unlike later). Maybe it was different where you lived.

  • So... you're saying that it was self sufficient by exploiting itself, rather than exploiting other third-world countries? That's what I said.

  • did you live there.. you know it so well...

  • Yes I was born in Belarus which was a part of USSR for 2 years of my life.

  • Seems like somebody else creates an illusion in your head...

  • Lol the goalie is worse than Osgood :D

  • Idiot Americans who think the Soviet Union was this evil empire with a backwards society should see more of our cartoons.

It wasn't great but it wasn't evil or bad when you think about it, fuckheads.

Nice, I don't remember this one but it's nice.

  • @TheTruthfulAsshole soviet union did have alot of problems. poverty, unemployment, and communism.

  • @nelsoncards Poverty, unemployment were always the problems in the West. In Soviet Union we had other problems.

  • @ATAS987654321 russia defeinitely had problems throught history with poverty, death, widespread famine, and problems with the military.

this doesnt reflect my view on the peopl of russia or anything like that. everyone in the world nomatter what nationality or history there country has deserves a good life.

  • @nelsoncards If you are talking about Russia, then it's the same story as in evry country over the last 2000 years. Which I don't undestand is problems with the military. What do you mean? If Soviet Union is regarded, there was much less poverty and unemployment than in any capitalist country. That's a fact. It was the system. Almost everybody had a job but earned little money. It still was enoungh for a life without any luxury. On the other hand there were no personal freedoms at all.

  • @ATAS987654321 what i meant by military might, is further back in the history of russia. like during the napoleon era. and how soldiers were slaughtered just to hold stalingrad.

  • @TheTruthfulAsshole oh yeeah!

  • You seem to have made a lot of people angry with that statement (I had to remove one vulgar reply already), but this is actually true. By the 1960s, Soyuzmultfilm was deliberately moving away from the Disney-like animation style that had characterized its films from the 1930s. Dyozhkin was one of the last holdouts, and he managed to keep making his films because they were very popular with the public. Part 1 of "Weightless Life" (which can be found on Google Video) tells about this.

  • Walt Disney actually invited Dyozhkin to come to America and work at his company, but Dyozhkin declined because he preferred the greater artistic freedom he had at Soyuzmultfilm (at Disney he would've had to work on someone else's vision).

  • The match showed in the animation is actually between "Meteor" and "Vympel" not Canada and USSR.

  • WoW!!!

    Fun I liked it alot.

Me gusta el cartoon mucho gusto!!!

  • lol i was looking for this thx

  • Aaaw memories.....

  • Oh shit! Hes taking slapshots at a kid with no equipment! lol

  • hehe, nice, with out helmet, like old Canadian team. Thant very much for the cartoon. Spasibo, brat!

  • This thing is so old....still great so!

  • brightened my day! shaybu, shaybu ! thanks for sharing this delightful cartoon

  • thanks, i watch this cartonn , i was 7 sever years old:)

  • This is great, thanks!

  • I'm a Russian living in Canada myself, and I completely agree with you - this film would be really popular here. :) I only wish that I could've uploaded a higher quality version - it's just not coming out right on Youtube...

  • Thanks for uploading this animation film. It's great! All the Canadians should love it :)
