  • MARAVILHOSO!!

  • I was 5 days old when this was recorded... I still remember the day he passed. I was sitting in front of the TV coloring, when they broke in, I think it was David Brinkly, next thing I know, my Dad was out of the door telling our neighbors... Years later I remember seeing an impersonator at Pinellas Square Mall and the crowd went crazy for this guy who wasn't Elvis, but gave them what they wanted. My Dad told me how he saw him in concert in Tampa in 1970 and I wish I could have... What a man...

  • awesome!!! there's only one Elvis, always the best version.

    catherine california

  • i'm not gonna lie, this is a great version of the song, and elvis is an amazing singer, but i prefer the jim nabors version better. but this is an INCREDABLY close second.

  • @MrDevin1125 GOMER PYLE ?????

Damn you were right.... checked it out. Thanx for the tip!!!

  • He will always be the best, the King of rock and roll , in my heart I enjoy his music as much if not more than when i was a teenager yelling at his concerts!!.

  • GOD of MUSIC.

  • wonderful footage!...what a voice,he had it all...still missed.

  • JUSTBEFORE HE STARTS THE SONG HE SAYS '' WE D LIKE TO SING OUR VERSION OF IMPOSSIBLE DREAM , HOWS THAT "

  • Soy un soñador, tu lo eres también y todos los somos, saludos a los que sueñan despiertos....

  • It's a shame that the videos of that time were not of good quality...

  • no i dont have the ticket any longer . The atmosphere was awsesome about 10.000 people i think! Did you ever see Elvis.

  • HELLO ALL YOU ELVIS FANS I JUST WANTED TO SAY I WAS THERE AT THIS CONCERT AND IT WAS ONE OF ELVIS BEST!!! NEVER WILL FORGET THAT DAY IN 1972

  • @saintstephen777 jealous of you right now... Tell me how was the atmosphere? And do you still keep your ticket?

  • As good as Jimmy Ellis (Orion) was, NO ONE can sing this song like the king. TCE.

  • I AM GONNA DIE... WHAT A VOICE... DAMN.... THE KING

  • Wow What a beautiful voice. tender , outrageous ,incredible

  • Elvis is Living His greatest Life right now on Streets of pure Gold. He is still singing with some of the Greatest Singers in the World. Angels stand amaze at the Amazing Singing choir. Glory, Glory , Glory. Can't you just Hear them?

  • I think of Elvis as he might have been in the future...... Finally realizing that he could stop the unceasing one-nighters and not have the fans lose their love of him. Then I saw him resting, renewing his health, turning his new found epiphany into a dynamic future maybe involving movies, television and only an occasional tour. Yes, that would have been great to see.

  • The King will never die!! If anyone want's to listen to a new singer songwriter search BGT reject and see what you think of his videos

  • Im Overfulld With My Emotions.ELVIS THE BEST SiNGER FOREVER END EVER.

  • So do I.this is the best version.

  • i like this version the best cause i never liked the slow version cause it was just too (like simon would say) indulgent and boring.

  • Comment removed

  • this is just awesome...what a voice the man had. i can listen to this a 1000 times and never get bored...ooh man i'm so proud of being an Elvis fan

  • The King of Music!

  • REMEMBER THERE ARE NO IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS , EVEN WHEN PEOPLE CONDEMN , CRITIZE, AND TRY TO GET YOU DOWN, YOUR DREAMS TO EXCEL ARE ATTAINABLE , THROUGH DREAMS AND GODS HELP YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL NO MATTER WHAT THE WORLD SAYS.

  • Hi friend,

Surprised to see you haven't had an answer in 6 moths but Elvis says...."Thank you very much! We'd like to do our version of the Impossible Dream".

A great version of a song that quite a few artists are attempting to sing these days but they never end it like Elvis does. OK I know the final note is probably a backing singer but hey!... WTF!

  • This Was Amazing.! :)

  • Nice!! -You tube is great to see rare video like this!

  • Holy Fucking shit balls! (pardon my french) but it was my reaction when I saw this, Elvis doing a song that is written for a play on broadway and do it better than anyone on broadway! ok he is the King and this just proves it.

  • @JoshyKel btw its written for the play "Man of La Mancha"

  • @JoshyKel right on man.

  • Elvis WAS and ALWAYS will be the GREATEST!

  • Wonderful was THE KING!

  • When my Dad died and having known of this song I found this song was the only song that covered all I could have said. This man performed this song and most others better than any other have.

  • SUBLIME!!!

  • LONG LIVE the KING ELVIS

  • Hi friends. My English is not that good. Could anyone tell me what he says just before start singing? Thanks in advance.

  • Odair, Elvis diz "Muito obrigado. Gostaria de cantar a minha versão do "The impossible dream"

  • Oi Galo. Muito tempo depois descobri que ele dizia "Elvis has left the building, thank you and good night". Obrigado mais uma vez e um bom 2010.

  • @Galoport OdairFernandes no problemo with your poor English. Before he starts singing, he says, "Excuse ladies and gentleman, I just broke wind, I'd like to ask the members of my group to hold their breath before we go any further"

  • @misterb0071 That was just so funny.. lol

  • @Galoport TO DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM, TO BEAT THE UNBEATABLE FOE/ TO BEAR WITH UN BEARBEARABLE SORROW TO RUNWHERE THE BRAVES DARE NOT GO: TO WRITE THE UNWRTABLE WRONG/ TO TRY WHEN YOUR EYES ARE TOO WEARY/ TO REACH THE UNREACHABLE STAR

  • He said: "Thank you very much. We'd like to do our version of The Impossible Dream".

  • Hi GX. Thank you so much. By the way: today (01-08-2010) is the 75th anniversary of the King. Have a nice day.

  • "Muchas Gracias, Me gustaría cantar nuestra version de The Impossible Dream"

  • @OdairFernandes

    He said as follows.

    Thank you very much.

We would lile to do my version of `The Impossible Dream`.

  • @OdairFernandes ''thank you very much, we like to do our version of the impossible dream

  • @OdairFernandes

    Hi Odair

He says - Thank you very much. I would like to do our version of The Impossible Dream.

    Kind regards

    Sharon

  • @OdairFernandes he says: "thank you very much, we'd like to do our version of The Impossible Dream

  • @OdairFernandes Oi Odair, ele disse: gostaria de cantar minha versao de "Impossible dream"

  • The one and only King

  • The King of Rock & Roll !!!

  • biggest icon ever in music history in my opinion

  • @cetnarsky Just seen your comment , you are right, no one can touch Elvis`s greatness.

  • The Greatest song of Elvis as long as "If I Can Deam". Power itself!!!!! El I love you!!!!!

  • I love to listen to it again and again!

  • hmmm elvis or andy W

  • checkout The Temptations version on the album "In a mellow mood" David Ruffin nails it!

  • beatifull song!! the king, the best!

  • i prefer this to the master, the live vegas version.like i re-iteraed, in many aspects he grew as a performer over the 70s. certain versions of songs became much better, i prefer the 73 ending he gave to american trilogy over the 72 master take for example. also songs like how great thou art, were much better in 77 than back in 72. also bridge over troubled water in 72 imo is better than his 70 renditions, he altered the phrasing and the more he performed certain songs the better they became.

  • Absolutely phenomenal. Has always been...and will always be.....the undisputed king.

  • your crazy....he never peaked...he was great till his last breath

  • im not saying he wasnt great at all loool! im just sayng of when he was at his very very best! i mean when you are fan of Elvis Presley you are a perfectionist, and im just saying when he was in perfect form. but as for his live shows, on the whole, it is fair to say he peaked in a sense, but in many ways he grew as a performer as the 70s grew on, but overall i think its undeniable that Elvis 1970 show is going to be better than an Elvis 1977 show.

  • fantastic. thanks for sharing this. shame this wasn't professionally filmed - should have been a tv special on the MSG shows, i think by the time of aloha from hawaii, he was getting past his peak in stage shows.
