I feel that ratings tend to create unhappiness. To elaborate, say I were to give ratings of 10, 1 being the worst. Take this game, Condemned 2 as an example, I like it and give it 8.5 out of 10. But for people who don't like it may give it 5 or lower and my ratings may even end up being seen as being inaccurate/biased. So as of now, I'm going to go for a non-rating system unless absolutely necessary. I'll try to think of something original, in the meantime, thanks for your suggestion...

IMO, this is a waste of money and i've heard it was from a lot of people over at myps3 forum.

i played the demo and thought the graphics weren't anything amazing, the AI was "ok" and the gameplay was just lame.

In your ice cream example, you are correct. In what's in question, you are not. This is a next-gen title, and it looks that way. It's pretty much praised across the board as living up to next-gen graphics, and while it may not beat out Crysis or Uncharted, it still holds its own against other available titles, and uses the PS3's and 360's hardware competently. Aside from being a little dark in places, as this reviewer says (though you can just turn on your flashlight), and some jaggies...

you may experience on SDTV's, (though that's YOUR fault), there is nothing to complain about in this game's visual presentation. Flames are done nicely, people, blood, environments, and even the non-human creatures are all done well. Distortion and ripple effects are high, and being it lives up to these standards, out of all the complaints you can have about this title, you are wrong. It is not a matter of opinion, you're just senselessly bitching about something you have invented. Good day.

As am I. Altair looked pretty good, and stone buildings looked pretty nice, crowds and such were rather bland, which might be understandable given the scope of what it's trying to accomplish... but there's nothing in this game that doesn't look polished to me. Nothing where I'd look and go, "meh, that zombie/whacko/cop/weapon looks bland".
