the text effect isn't difficult to achieve. Basically is a displacement combined with a "word typing" effect and a fade out.
I have done it in AE. However, I read CineFx (jahshaka) is the alternative Video editor for Linux. I've never tried Jahshaka, but I saw u can perform Chroma key which isn't common technique so, probably, u can add some text in a video
I tried sabayon for a little while, ended up going back to my arch linux. I liked it but it just felt bloated and I like basically building my linux from the ground up (Gentoo) and such. Sabayon is great for new users and I'm sure it has use for experienced users. Just wasn't for me.
I don't know. From what I have tested, by using Sabayon you loose the advantage of having the whole system compiled. This distro has imho become something like Vista amongst linux - too much software and LOTS of programs loading in the start; it's just bloat. Sorry, I'll stick to Gentoo and Debian.
yes, that is true, and I'm not forcing Sabayon onto anyone, but i think it's truly unique. I'm kinda a gamer (Open Source and proprietary) and Sabayon has all of those games there ready to go. But booting from live CD, it is very bloated but it's very custom, and definitely unlike Vista. For example. The music you hear when you boot. It isn't the cheesy sound you hear when you log on, it's "Actual Music!" But, that kinda adds more to the bloat.
Exactly. You can't create distribution that would contain everything every user desires. I really prefer the concept of getting just the system and installing all your apps from repos.
@boggy000 Elitists are never happy no matter what you do for them. So yes stick to Gentoo where it can take you many hours just to get a working install. That stil doesn't even come close to what Sabayon puts out in minutes w/ their lite (Gentoo based) version alone.
Most users don't have that much time to waste and opt for the full Sabayon (Gentoo based) version. Where it's easier to pair away bloat than it'll ever be to build a ground up install of Gentoo! ;-P
Excelente distro. Lo único nice sería que vuelvan a dar la opción de los LiveDVD "gordos" (los que traían todos los escritorios en el disco y traían varios juegos y opciones en el menú de arranque).
i'm going to help your translation.
it sounds more natural to say "we choose. do you?"

Bellissima promo, Sabayon è un sistema operativo unico perché è sia a stretto contatto con gli standard Linux, sia moderno.
