  • cheparinov refused a handshake... ok this is the bulgarian education

  • SHORT WON. (Nice . . . .)

  • Short is smokin' hot

  • That handshake nearly killed Cheparinov.

  • @cbthirty it was almost a dead fish.

  • @cbthirty So true, he's never been the same. I hope he realizes some day that having Danailov as his manager's only gonna ruin his career.

  • cheparinov is H-O-T

  • The part with Danailov laughing is the best.

  • The whole thing was badly handled. Chepy's original snub was fine -- Shorty'd said nasty stuff about the Topalov camp publicly; Chep wanted to stress his view of that. The rules say that Chep should have been given a warning about not shaking hands at the start of a game, but the officials were, typically, not up on the rules and forfeited him out of hand. The game shown here was played the day after the handshake incident, I believe. ... Comments about the players' appearance omitted :-)..

  • The bottomline is, the rules state you have to shake hands as a part of the sport decent behaviour (allthough Kramnik and Topalov never do, I guess they agree to disagree).

  • Well done Nigel.... Damn this Cheparinov is really dressed up like a cheap mafioso of the 70's

  • tapak !!

  • Come on Short. Where are you? Must be using a Fischer psychology, turning up a little late.

  • good thing that short won the game.

  • hahahah...maybe last tym u didnt wash ur hand . . .hahah

  • The further East you go from England, the less important the basic concept of good manners and sportsmanship become. By the time you get to Bulgaria, Russia, etc. - it's practically non-existant. Nigel showed this little snot nosed brat how the game should be played.

  • Bulgarian Scum, they are all the same

  • Two litlle girls!

  • Nice ending to what would otherwise have been a murky incident in chess history

  • Nigel is a down to earth guy. Hope to see him some day here in Aruba.

  • the name of the song is "handshake drug"

  • Thank God Nigel won ! He was very brave to play. And thank God the asshole triumvirate of Top Chep and Dan lost.

  • Do not try to be a smartass or you fall into a position where you don't want to be.

  • To me it looks like a draw. Why is this a winning position for white. Can somebody please explain? Thanks

  • After for instance Kxe7,Ke5 Kf7, Kd6 Kg7, Ke6 Kh8, Kf6 Kh7, Kf7 black has to abandon the pawn and the white pawn will promote.

  • If you're still confused and would like a visual demonstration on how White can force a win, go to shredderchess[dot]com/online-chess/online-databases/endgame-database.html Scroll down a bit, hit [Input FEN] at the bottom right and then paste the FEN notation: [8/4Rk2/6p1/3K2P1/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 72]. The tablebase has calculated lines for every possible continuation. Hope it helps. :)

  • Perfect song to this video.

  • what is the title of the song...

  • see, after all that, short still won!

  • I need know the name of the song!

    =]

    ChessVibes RULES!

When they are handshaking, Chepa bows a little... could be resignation.
