  • I dont know why this did not work for me too, i got this error

    object references an unsaved transient instance - save the transient instance before flushing

    i had to add (cascade=CascadeType.ALL) in order fr this to work

I've got a question : At the beginning you explained about the JPA advantages, and you showed us that if we change Hibernate to something else, we dont have to change our aplication, however, in the test classes we used only hibernate, is there any reason for that? we could use JPA too couldnt us ?   • Thanks Patrick, Do you know where I can find a nice tutorial for this?, btw I am using postgresql with hibernate; there is a tool named pgadmin, it allows you to modelate all the database very fast, I think that creating all the database using java can be a little tedious, what do you think about it?
