Hi I run a small retoration shop (non-profit) and I am trying to generate some interest in a blog I have started about a singer 29k15 which is the current project. As I think the old singers are by far the best machines. Just incase anyone is interest how they go together. northants-restoration.blogspot.com
Thank you! I found this in my grandmother's box of sewing goodies and was wondering what on earth it was for. I can't even sew a straight line tonight so I doubt I'll Ever get to use this part, but it's nice to know what it is. I'm more than a little frustrated right now (no one ever taught me and I'm fumbling around) so I wanted to watch some folks who know what they're doing and this helped. 8)
I'm not the original poster but I don't know if that would work... however, they have specific ruffler foots for different machines. They aren't too pricey... I got one on eBay for my newer machine for $20. Look it up! :)
I totally agree on the 'religious experience' bit. Surfing the web for a ruffler on my Singer 237 I came across this video. You inspired me to search further. I must have a ruffler!!!
I got a treadle 201K on ebay in the same cabinet which is weird because the 201K was supposed to be electric. You can even see the holes in the machine base where the motor should be bolted on haha.
Hi there. very good video work with this beautiful machine.

Yes, depending on the shank you have. You can buy a ruffler for a slant shank, short shank, tall shank etc.
Do a google search on how to measure your shank then you can search for the ruffler foot.

Singer 101 was a great machine, the first internal motor, and one of the first rotary hook machines. Nice. The predecessor to the 201.
