  • @Jaye38UK Thanks Jaye. Yeah I don't think I could do the Wave either, it has a lot more parts than the Kick. Thanks for watching, hopefully I will put it back together soon.

  • Excellent Colin, Can't wail to see the end result. Excellent idea on the colors.

  • @shadowflight762 Cheers my good friend, painted it yesterday, looking good so far.

  • Nice video as always! I guess this is another reason I don't carry a multi-tool, eventually I'd take it apart and never get it back together! LOL

  • @Idahobo77 Thanks my friend, haha, well I hope I can get the Kick back together :- )

  • Hey there Colin great video mate:)

Oh by the way did you know that Ray Mears has his own youtube on here?

I have also been to his website to check if thats the real Ray Mears and it is him lol.

  • @BuschTukkerMan Hi Busch, thanks mate, that is cool :-)

  • Sounds like a neat project. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

  • @tendollarword Thanks my friend.

  • I think its a great ideal. Im a little iffy on what if you put on too much paint. You do sound like you know what your doing so ya why not.

  • @xPumaFangx Cheers mate, yeah too much paint will be a problem, I will be as careful as I can.

  • Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. God idea keeping all those parts sorted. Cheers Colin.

  • @AussieMark909 Thanks Mark.

  • I think both. I don't know how or to what combo. I like the idea, it will have the Colin Outdoors colors :D

  • @knives357 Cheers my friend. Take care

  • Colin, try a bit of electrical tape around the jaws of the plyers when you put the leatherman back together. They should still grip enough without burring the metal. Some jewelery making suppliers sell a type of rubber paint that you dunk the plyer heads in. Puts a soft coat on them but they don't loose their grip.

  • @351xb1973 Hi my friend, great tip, I will do that, thank you very much.

  • That´s ultra cool, ...I told you, you get your on serie of LM´s soon ; ) ...looking forward to the result! Happy Day, Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk Hi Sepp. Thank you so much my good friend, take care.

  • Sounds like a really neat project Colin! If it were I, the leatherman would be a nice shade of purple or something that is not easy to lose and sort of unique looking. But that's just me.. : )

Looking forward to seeing how yours comes out and I hope you had a great weekend! : )

  • @saradreaming Hi Sara, yeah purple would be cool. Not my type of colour though lol. Thanks my good friend, take care.

  • I think the OD Green would look OK. I look forward to seeing what you end up doing and how it turns out, good luck Colin. Take Care my friend :-))

  • @SurviveN2 I think it would look better than OK Dragon lol. Thanks for watcning.

  • Good one Colin! Sounds like you have the project well planned out. I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

  • @Optionsaregood Cheers my good friend. Yeah been working on it today, looking good so far :-)

  • Cool project my friend. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

  • @intenseangler Thank you John, take care.

  • Good luck with this project, my vote is for OD GREEN everything! Cheers Colin!

  • @jolietjake1970 Thanks George, yeah I think OD is the way to go :-)

  • great organization, that'll make all the difference with reassembly! Always informative and challenging to get out my own tools and personalize them!

  • @zacharyhawkins1234 Thanks my friend, I guess planning is the key, hopefully it pays off :-)

  • I can't wait to see the finished product.

  • @TheTeaguzzler Me either, thanks my friend.

  • I sure hope you remember how it goes back together. :)

  • @TheTeaguzzler I am sure I will :-)

  • Good luck I think this is gonna look cool!

  • @Mrcaffinebean Thank you my friend. Take care

  • Colin, i'm not sure in your area but out here in ca. I have paid "not much" to have pieces such as those anodized and coated. The coating protects the anadizing and makes it a bit better looking as well. Now, look for places that do circut boards, they will charge the least. Or auto detailing will also have this but cost more. the colers most found are red, gold, black, blue and a off blue, closer to a grape. The cutting piece of the leatherman dies all have this one. its tuff as nails

  • @PHARRAOH Hi Alan, I am not sure. I would imagine there is someone in the area that could do it. But I will give this paint a try. Not expecting amazing results but it should work OK. Cheers my friend, take care/

  • You going to hang those pieces on some wire or a clothes hanger or something to air dry? I shall use your experience as a precursor to my own attempt, should I decide to do so. Good luck, my friend. Talk to you soon.

  • @sabr686 Hi Sabr. Yeah I am going to use wire and a cardboard box as a booth. Hopefully it shall work ok. Your work with these still of paints for your golf baskets gave me some great ideas. Take care my friend.

  • Whooo!!! Mod time, love it!! Can't wait to see the results, I hope it all goes OK!! Take care.

  • @2dividedby3equals666 Thanks my friend. Looking forward to tackling the project.

  • How do you take it apart?

  • @4udience0f0ne I used a pair of vice grips and my PS4 to take it apart :-)

  • Sounds great mate! Reminds me of Nutnfancy's duracote Charge project!

I would love to see a painted kick. Can wait to see the results!

  • @Smith28Adventure Thanks man, yeah Nutn's Charge totally rocked. I don't think I skill to tackle that. A Kick should do nicely :-)

  • Interesting project Colin can't wait to see the end result !!!! :)

  • @fergus199985 Cheers mate, yeah I am looking forward to seeing how it will progress.

  • Go for it...=)

Sounds awesome to paint the Leatherman multi-tool.

  • @Goose7523 Thanks my friend, yeah I think its going to be a fun project.

  • @ColinOutdoors Yea... I think i'll have to find something to paint aswell..=)

I never thought of that... Hmm.... I must try it on something...

  • @Goose7523 Haha, nice one my friend, hope you give it a go.

  • wow cant wait to see it mate

  • the 2 colors sounds like it would look cool

  • @llib90630 Cheers man, yeah I think so too :-)

  • Nice project! I'm gonna look around for a new multitool, perhaps a Leatherman Squirt PS4 :)

  • @renzo260 Thanks my friend. Nice one, the Squirt is great, I carry mine everyday :-)

  • Awesome Colin,I was just thinking of doing my Leatherman sideclip. Not sure if that's the name as I had found it roadside. Not a scratch on it either, looked brand new so good for me.But anyway, love watching your reviews as you always do a top notch job.Keep up the great work Brother.

  • @SnakeDoctor33 Hi SnakeDoc, thanks man. Wow, you found a Sideclip at the side of the road? Awesome. I bet the person who lost it was gutted. Cheers for the support take care.

  • I have never taken apart my leatherman I think I will try it seems fun

  • @MrDeadpool25 LOL, yeah its fun and fiddly :-)

  • Hehe, that requires a lot of patience, something I lack. I look forward to seeing the finished project. :)

  • @kardredren Yeah I lack some patience too lol. I doubt I would tackle a Wave or Charge. The Kick is nice a simple. Thanks my friend.

  • i dont know why but i love videos of stripping down guns and knives and them back together.
