He was poisoned and put to the state of appearing of death, extremely low heart beats and breath so people thought that he was dead, but actually he was aware of everything until he was brought back out of his grave (within 8 hours after he was buried or he would die for real) and got drugged to cause his brain damage with memory loss and becoming a zombie

Let me make one thing perfectly clear about zombification in Haiti. The guy did NOT die. I repeat, the guy did NOT die at all. There is a toxine called tetrodotoxin which is notoriously found in the porcupine fish. When such toxine is injected into one's bloodstream, it causes temporary paralysis of the entire nervous system. Both pulmonary and cardiac rythms slow down considerably which give the impression that the person is dead. That is the scientific explanation of zombification.
