  • hmm not sure about this, OK i am English that's in the UK, but i am shure if you walk into an army recruitment office in the UK, and admit to having a drug problem, they will fuck you of out the door.

    just my opinion.

  • he has a point, he's basically telling the kid to go clean first before applying, it's fucking logic!!! better then the kid applying there and then and getting disqualified for life

  • And....

  • Firing a 50cal while high is the problem.

  • I don't see a problem.

  • Ok, this is BULLSHIT!!! Listen... Sometimes people have issues. The military is a chance to turn your life around. Why bar someone who wants to change their life? an addict wouldn't get through the active military. Basic included. A person could be trying and struggling to get clean and the military will force it on you no problem. It's a chance to get clean and stay clean. It gives you purpose. Hell, maybe I was never an addict but i know it damn sure has helped me ever since I signed up.

  • So what? I don't understand why they're making such a big deal out of this. They are trying to avoid wasting their time with paperwork. If these clowns had any clue of how much crap these Recruiters have to go through they wouldn't have tried to embarrass them.

  • back when i was 18-19 i walked in one of those army recruting stations and right before i got to the desk one person there ask me what made u come in today.. i replied: bc i want to kill as many people i can and blow up things .. once i said that the same person told me all you have to do is sign right here..... while he was pulling out the paper for me to sign i told him im just to busy living my life then walked out...

  • @cave13 what was the point in going in there and wasting their time??? they have a job to do. Wow your an idiot.

  • @Chiefksam bc my friends at the time(10yrs ago) wanted to sign up and they(my friends) didnt belive me that they will say and do anything to get them in there (army just to say).. im n ot here to put ppl down or anything like that..

  • @cave13 your stupid, you dont just walk in and sign one piece of paper dumbass. your not buying insurance here

  • Maybe if we just legalized pot, this wouldn't be an issue... that way we can weed out the actual druggies doing speed, coke and dope.

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC even if grass was legal you cant get high during meps, combat ,etc. You know. its kinda like being drunk then going on patrol. But i agree it should be legal but ppl should then know when to use it and when not to.

  • So I can do sum cocaine while in the army and if I

    Get caught I'm out..hooorah!!!!

  • So its bad for the army to make sure people are clean before they sign up, but yet its ok to have interventions and send people to rehab... this is nothing but news casters with nothing better to do.... GAY!

  • yeah this is complete bullshit

  • well IN VIETNAM THEY LET PEOPLE DO DRUGS

  • This is why they do random drugtests when you go into basic, i mean why cant we smoke one last doobie before we go into groundstaking war?

  • what the fuck is this?

  • Theres a difference between trying to put a drug addict in or someone that has done a little experimenting which isnt uncommon at all. Who cares if someone smoked a little pot with his buddies and then decides he wants to serve his country and stop doing childish shit like getting high. I think its a little fucked up that they are so down on someones previous drug use but when you get in to the military you will find that most everyone drinks alcohol on a regular basis.

  • What's wrong with telling someone to get clean? The military has helped a lot of people get their life on track.

  • Look if u fail at MEPS that's it! no second chances so before the army sends u up to MEPS u must pass a screening 24hours before u get ur physical @ MEPS. It's 2011 and the attitude is still the same.

P.S. It's not helping ppl get clean it's just not good to send someone up to MEPS just to fail. Waste of time and resources

  • they do not "help you". it is army policy. nothing is wrong here.

  • my recruiter did tht for me lol who cares

  • They want to help people get clean? What is wrong with that?

  • hey does anyone know if there are cameras in the recruiters office test room were you take the practice asvab???

  • Yeah this is stupid and a non-story. I was assuming that they were going to have altered test results or something actually bad like that. Waste of time

  • I don't think the Armed Forces are desperate for new recruits. Every branch has surpassed their recruiting numbers. In fact, they're are downsizing.

  • i can guarantee you that this happens at every single recruiting station

  • Guy: one of your recruters gave us this.

Recrutter : that on your hand we dont do that.

Guy: yes u do they gave it to me.

recrruter: no no he dirnt that on the video was a clone, we dont do that.

The goverment can get caught over and over again and nothing will happen

  • theese niggas talking to much lol snitching on they self smh i wouldnt tell um that shit id be like nigga you wait till you clean point blank period

  • What the fuck is wrong with people. Theyre not "beating" a god damn thing. They are helping you get clean. Then after meps you MUST stay clean, and throughout your entire enlistment you have to stay clean. Typical media bull shit. Its a shame they get to decide whats important everyday.

  • these are the murderers in iraq and afghan

  • @gobuddyboy yea they are arnt they not the taliban who throw acid in womens faces behead children men and women on a daily basis just trying to live there lives stone people to death (mainly women) extort intimidate and are just all around vicious spitefull people who do it all in the name of allah and if you had a single shread of i.q you would know that most of the civilian casultys in afghanistan are from the afghan police you ignorant cunt

  • not really seeing what the big deal is with what the recruiters are doing in this video...

  • Now its way different its harder to get in , when I went to meps we started out with 12 people by the end only 3 of us were left

  • It used to be the military just needed a few good men and now it seems the they just need a few drug heads!

  • the US military does the most despicable things but this is a total non issue right here. they are basically saying when you are clean you can join. there is exactly nothing wrong with that. this is typical USA bullshit.

what's really wrong with the sick USA is that they start wars based on lies to kill millions of people. holding a guy back until he's clean is nothing by comparison.

  • so what?

  • @MegaJimenez1234 You wont call me retarded after the nwo Create Chaos. Order out of chaos.. Look it up. Dont fall for the deception.. You think government cares about us? they sent troops to Kill people in other countries and troops are retarded because they just DO IT without Seeing the FULL agenda.. what would you do if an army Invades the US? would you just stand there? or protect yourself? we are cose to a staged martial law.. and the army will be used to "PROTECT" americans to death

  • @adam3176 Your level of education and awareness is beyond that of all the members of the armed forces, including this Marine, and that justifies you diagnosing us as retarded. Listen here, fat body, the young men and women that serve in the armed forces look after each other. You have never had to explain to someone's mother why her son came home in a box. Try living in the third world and you might find it quite nice to live here and have the means available to have and form your own beliefs.

  • rah rah roger that!XD

  • Whats sad is how brain washed army people are.. they talk in retarded code mekes them feel like they are apart of somthing.. makes them feel good.. when the fact is they cant think for themselves.. and they Just take orders. And they are being used for a system that is ruining america.. because they Really think they are serving the country.. When in fact they are serving the new world order.. and 90% Depopulation plan... they have no idea what they are planning for the people..

  • @adam3176 As a proud memeber of the united states army i must say your completly retarded you may be smart about world of warcraft but you dont know shit about the army guy. Get your facts straight before you bash the people who defend your right to be a obnoxious moron.

  • @leasure23 I dont play Video games. I dont burry my head in fake reality. Do you know who controls the army? They are controled by the world government indirectly. Why do you think we are taking over the middle east? Just for a little bit of oil? We have free energy this is about power and land takeover. and placing a one world government for the new world order. That will destroy this country. and no one cares or notices. research agenda 21 research 90% depopulation.

  • Stupid Humans keep serving a system that could give a shit america.. Its a system that serves the banking System that is destroying our own country.. and People wont protect there own country.. they keep serving those who CLAIM they are serving our country.. Soldiers just help the new world order.. thats all it is

  • ..inaccurate

  • fucking communist video

  • Haha. Cool.

  • stupid ass news people, what is wrong with this? they are getting kids off fuckin drugs by this? people are fuckin stupid for trying to put down the military

  • My recruiter was known for reporting his fellow soldiers recruiters for lying, cheating, and giving false promises

  • Thank God my army recruiter was honest. He actually told me to mke sure I read the finest print on the contract. Plus he told me that when your in the army your chances of getting deployed is like death and taxes, it's going to happen.

  • Brown is a Lt Colonel not a Lt....dumb ass fucking reporter

  • There's no problem with weed for fuck sake who cares about drug test

  • who gives a shit? just because you've been on drugs once in your life and you want to do better doesn't mean you should be banded from something you want to do for the rest of your life. it makes sense, there's nothing wrong with it so get the fuck over it.

  • oh big deal...if they can get clean before they get in then they are bettering themselves. just attacking the military for no reason. once they are in they have to get drug tests so it's not like they won't be monitored. shut the hell up news people.

  • There's nothing wrong with this. The recruiters did nothing illegal, they simply told the prospective soldier to take a test, make sure they're clean before they come in for the test at MEPS. Once you get in, you need to stay clean and they random test 4 that. People can do this on their own, it's not evasion, it's simply changing your way of life to be a better person (regardless of joining the military or not). Stupid reporter and unfortunately the OIC bent to the pressure of the press

  • Holy Crap. God forbid that the recruiter help them get off the drugs, give them a job where they have to stay clean. And money for college so that if they can stay clean they go to school, have defended the nation and become college educated members of society. Oh no lets not do that. cause all of us r so damn perfect.

  • so they are giving you the same info as you could get on google? who gives a fuck. most people already know how to pass a drug test.

  • the recruiter is a straight shooter, and id say 85% if not more civilians would piss hot, so yes the recruiter tells you to get clean first, this is stupid and i dont see why they are using this as a bad thing, the army tells you to get clean before you can join, where is the problem in this?

  • The Marines do the same thing.

  • Yeah, just because the guy was a Colonel doesn't mean his opinion on the matters of enlisted men holds and water...secret as it's kept, Colonels and the like don't know what the hell they're talking about sometimes. All I saw was the recruiters being as resourceful as possible to get guys in, after all, their career depends on a quota...kid needs to come in the office having done his homework already, only his fault if he doesn't research.

  • Thats a load of shit. You get a second test at MEPS and its impossible to fake that one so it really doesnt matter if u manage to cheat the first one. That on is just so that the recruiters dont get in trouble for binging a druggie to MEPS.

  • Too me it seems like the army is helping and not threatening...... If you kno what I mean

  • So, referencing video description, how to beat a drug test is apparently wait until you're clean. Thank god the US army revealed this to us, I was so unsure prior to watching this video.

  • that recruiter must have gotten fired... damn! As you notice they only target the army??

  • Love how the Air Force straight disqualifies you for good lol.

  • retired army colonle blah can shoot it out his ass. hes just some stuck up elitist asshole who probably believes that any drug use is heinous and unacceptable. theres more to it than drug user = slum/loser/failure. its more about your level of ambition and self control. plenty of people can function who have done drugs in their lives. but they are able to use responsibly and keep a clear vision of their goals and responsibilities.

oh and "lieutenant" brown isn't a lieutenant at all. hes a cadet

  • Comment removed

  • its not jus the army...i got that "pre-screen" b4 I went into the navy...dont 4get that military policies dont apply to these guys until ur in the military...

  • This is stupid!! What's wrong with them telling them to get clean? A lot of guys get in just to clean up I knew a few. Hell I was one of them. And they don't kick you out if you pop hot. I had 2 soldiers in my unit that popped hot and served the rest of their contract. Completely flawed reporting trying to get the military in trouble over some trivial shit.

  • @euchreman Uh it's not stupid. What's wrong? Let me tell you. People who take drugs alter their mental and physical abilities. Even if they stop for a while to pass a test, most deficiencies of drug users are permanent. This means that you are sending people to war knowing that their combat abilities have been drastically reduced. This can cause all sorts of problems on the field.

  • @jorgec5151 I did just fine and so did my fellow soldiers. I was addicted to Oxy's and all though it was a rough first week in basic I made it and have been fine ever since. My buddy also overcame Heroin and I can say we were battle ready. We were just as good, if not better than any clean soldier. You know what happens when you assume.

  • @euchreman The reason why you were struggling in basic was because you were out of shape, a temporary physical deformity. But you overcame that with excersise,as expected. And if you say you did just fine, I can totally understand, but however fine you did the drugs still affected you. You could have done alot better. and you'll never know how good that better could have been because the drugs reduced your abilities. If you did good at 80% with drugs, you could have done150% without taking drugs.

  • @jorgec5151 You have no idea what I ended up doing with my time in service. What you ARE doing is making unjust assumptions about me and other men. I wasn't out of shape I was withdrawing. But I got clean and I made a good soldier out of myself. You should not assume anything, have you seen it in person? Do you know my background?

  • @euchreman What are you talking about? Whatever you did while in the military is irrelevant. And I'm not making unjust assumptions about you or "other men".I made reasonable conclusions about your CASE IN GENRAL. Read closer next time, however good you were as a soldier, thats fine, but I'm saying it's innevitable that you were negativaly affected by drugs.I didnt assume,I concluded.Yes I have seen it in person.Yes I do know your background. Your a former drug abuser who served in the military.

  • @jorgec5151 No you didn't and what I did IS relevant. Your conclusions are closed minded and stereotypical. I suppose you hate every other race than your own due to the fact that you like to stereotype everyone into one category. Trust me I did just fine and so did a few others. I will say sure that some fail in the military and some may even be what you think. But people do turn their lives around and do great things. Maybe you should do a case study and give me some figures.

  • @jorgec5151 No you didn't and what I did IS relevant. Your conclusions are closed minded and stereotypical. • @euchreman ya thats what i was going to say. i had friend pop they just sent them to the brig for a month they came back and kept serving. but if they popped again they would have been kicked out.

  • Army's got to fill that quota and all those kids who don't want to join because they are going to go to college are going to get fucked because there are no jobs anyway. I already enlisted in the marines and they were questioning me more because I told them that I have never done any drugs before. Wars can't just be fought by poor people.

  • theres nothing wrong with weed, its like a strong cigarette-

  • Also they leave out the fact that once your in the Army as long as your in, you will NOT be doing the drugs again and if you do you get caught by the monthly and sometimes weekly drug tests.

  • This is such propaganda. MEPS decides who joins and who doesn't not the service that sent them there. Stupid media

  • I see nothing wrong with the recruiter. Just like a physical exam...if you can't pass it...you practice or lose weight and come back when you can pass. The person stays off the drugs and then passes when you are clean. Nope...they didn't lie to the recruits.

  • @rudetuber Uh no one ever said that they were lying to the recruites. Actually they were beeing streight forward and helping the recruits. In fact they didnt lie to anybody. The arguement here is that the recruiters are helping recruits with drug problems pass the drug test.

  • i'd rather have a "head" in the foxhole with me, than a guy who gives head!

  • but if your found while hot in the army you get your ass handed to uncle Sam with a discharge

  • A HS student is not prepared to deal with people who are given their name and their personal info. This is intimidating. They will call you unsolicited and they will prey upon you and your gullibility. No one wants to be the prey and that is exactly what you are in the eyes of a military recruiter who has succeeded in signing up lesser minded sheeple than you. Their unwarranted phone calls are rude. Just say you will call them when and if you are interested. Assert yourself or you'll regret it!!

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody is telling anyone to lie here! Yeah you might disagree with the policy that requires someone to get clean before they enlist, but nobody is telling anyone to lie about drug use. In fact plenty of soldiers enlist every day who are completely honest about there drug use. Everything is logged and annotated and that applicant will be looked at by a doctor who ultimately decides who gets in and who has a drug problem. This video is not telling the whole truth and it is infuriating.

  • The problem is it's their fucking job to save eachothers' lives. The next thing is they go to Afghanistan and it's vietnam all over again. Assholes!!!

  • Comment removed

  • theres nothing wrong with this at all, theyre simply telling you if youre interested, get clean.

  • Comment removed

  • @JumpstyleCAPcadet You can have a history of drug use and still get in the Air Force but it has to be a history(as in a long, long time ago). My AF recruiter had a dead serious no-bullshit attitude about that. He wasn't going to process a current or recent user.

  • too lolz.

  • There is NOTHING wrong with THIS. and what asshole with the glasses said is not true. let me explain it in the most simple and easiest way I can.. when you enlist you will either love it or hate it.. Im in it and I love the hell out of it. on the other hand if you are doing drugs while in the military you should be terminated. I wouldnt want to fight side by side with someone whos fucked up.. i need someone with a clear frame of mind..

  • What is the problem with this? It's not like they are telling you to cheat on the drug test.

  • whats wrong with weed please someone tell me?!?!?!

  • On one hand I can see that they might be getting people off drugs, a sort of second chance, assuming they survive. On the other hand I would NEVER willing serve alongside someone who had a substance abuse problem.

  • On my way home, he pick up a drug adicted, talk to him if he was clean to make the exam, the said yes, I dont smoke po... for a month now. He took the guy to his office, make a small cup exam and came positive for a bunch drugs, he insist to the guy to get clean first, then he will take the guy to MEPS. The recriter new also that I want a full time position, and he could not afford that with NG, but he insist on it.

  • this is amazing i think im gunnna join the army now

  • i got tested positive for weed at the recruiting office and they still sent me to meps lol.

  • Moral of the story, don't do drugs.

    1. it will mean more money in your wallet

    2. more career options available (military or not)

    3. your health in good shape

    4. your social status won't fall

    Something to think about.

  • @mirikam8 - whats your opinion on people smoking weed? jw

  • @mirikam8 Same could be said for alcohol and tobacco

  • @matixneo73

Funny you should bring those up, tobacco is somewhat direct, but alcohol is a trickier debate... I say separate non-smokers from the smokers and responsible drinking for alcohol.

Then again, there are the cons...

  • @mirikam8 So by your definition there is such a thing as a responsible drinker but not a responsible cannabis smoker?

  • @matixneo73

Illicit drugs are just that, drugs. They destroy the body in small amounts and there is a good reason why they are outlawed. Like I said, tricky issues, already heavily debated and I'm not going to do this on YouTube because a) it's a waste of my time and yours b) it's done c) we have better things to do.

  • @mirikam8 If you really think that cannabis destroys the body in small amounts, or if you think there are good reasons why cannabis is outlawed I suggest you do some research. You might want to start with the report by Judge Francis Young, the DEA's administrative law judge followed by a little research on Harry Anslinger. Cannabis is no more a drug than alcohol and safer to boot.

  • @matixneo73

Like I said, I'm not going to argue on YouTube. Refer to my first comment.

  • I dont see a problem, people do the same thing for regular jobs every day.

  • i dont see whats wrong with this.

  • My god - I can't believe you can't see what's wrong with this guys - Would you like to be in a foxhole under enemy fire, relying on the artillery taking them out, and some stoned trooper messes up and drops the shell on your head!! The test isn't there to see if you've done drugs because they're illegal, it's there to ensure you're the right guy for the job - not someone who is a potential threat to their own comrades.

  • @sevish885 they cant get drugs while deployed so this makes no sence what so ever. even though afghanistan is a very large opium growing country it is still very hard to get your hands on it even if you do come into contact with it

  • @derkaderka747 It's not just about Afghanistan, it's anywhere - imagine that the engineer working on your vehicle back home doesn't do a good job because he's not sober - and it breaks down in the middle of a firefight. Now how are you going to evacuate your wounded? There are so many imaginable ways that someone who is under the influence can cause trouble for the guys on the front line. Acid flashbacks would create real problems for instance.

  • This is ridiculous, Its like the media kills anyone who trys to lend out a helping hand

  • Should stop bitching and be glad there are people that want to go over there. If these wars keep going they will start to Draft people. Fuck, why not send smokers over, it'll sober them up!

  • wtf? propaganda to make them look bad. shit dude he is just trying to make em get clean and they know when they are clean. Fucking assholes.

  • There is nothing wrong with what these recruiters are telling them other than telling them not to take a drug test till they are clean. Common sense tells u that.

  • US Empire Propaganda is very powerful, we need to engage in mainstream truth advertising on major networks, movies, radio, newspapers, and magazines, we need to beat hem at their own game.

Notice the increase in military recruiting ads on prime time TV sports and music channels.

The US Empire spends a billion dollars a year on military recruiting advertising and they do it because it works.

We need to stop military recruiting on TV and in schools.

Stop military recruiters and you stop the wars.

  • @XtremePacifist You are an idiot u think that stopping recruiters stops wars?? There have been wars all though out the history of man kind, and I am pretty sure there weren't recruiters way back when.

  • @XtremePacifist recruiters+wars=no sense. to stop war...you have to stop EVERYONE in the military. Dude you are fucking stupid. Without the military we would be fucked up. You dumb piece of shit. No recruiters? No advertisement? How retarded are you!!?!?!? We need the recruiters, advertisements are just there dude who cares? Hey lets stop Doritos...the kids are getting super fat we have to stop the Food Industry Empire before we all bloat and die!!! fucking dumbass

  • @XtremePacifist Yes, you may stop this particular war but you would leave this country wide open. A Country without a Military, only in a perfect world and THIS AINT NO PERFECT WORLD.

  • fail a drug test for any branch at meps and the only thing that happens is you wait 6 months and go back to re-test, fail a second time and then you are not allowed to join any of the armed forces they are all the same and failing it at any point only disqualifies you for certain jobs

  • What's the problem with this? They're just telling them to get clean before they try to enlist. Damn propaganda videos.

  • @fanuvgod1 umm because the US Military is suppoosed to have certain rules and regulations. One being that you cannot be on drugs if you want to join the military. Not menaing you must be clean for a cpl weeks. It means they dont want kids who do drugs, who are addicted to drugs, etc. It only takes a few mseconds of using your own logic to figure out why this is. And then just a litle more to see that this video is pointing out a few large problems.

  • @thatstheguy07 I wasn't talking about being clean for a couple weeks. I meant getting clean completely.

  • @fanuvgod1 I agree 100%. Some people just aren't happy unless they stir shit for no good reason.

  • if anything the recruiter is doing the guy a fucking favour, you amercian recruits have it fucking easy. Try England! You have to badger the recruiting the staff and continueously ring them to get a fucking interview date!

  • whats wrong with this video. So what if the recruiter is helping them pass the drug test its not like they told him to lie about something like asthma

  • It is the Army's policy that you take a preemptive drug test before going to MEPS. They have you sign a waiver saying that you agree to take the test. If you pass your good. If you fail you can go to MEPS even though you tested positive for a drug or drugs. If you tested positive and choose to wait, they shred the document. It saves them money for hotel, transportation and processing at MEPS and it saves you the trouble of going to MEPS and being disqualified. Its just common sense.

  • The colonel was shocked, thats funny....they know what goes on....they are the leadership. Its nice to sit back and watch others work, get things done, and then say, Im shocked!....The Army is fucked up from top to bottom, and thats the way it is, the Armys buisness is hard, and nobody wants to do it...so this is what you get. So much demand is put on Army recruiter, so little quality interest, and you get this, dumb asses recruiting dumb asses...GO AIR FORCE!..or just go to school

  • I was an Army recruiter...Take it from me, join the Air Force, as you can see far more professional and a much better place to be. The Army is full of CAT 4..look that up, lol.

  • Fuck drug tests.

  • Dumb video. ANYBODY can go to CVS and buy a drug test. Failing the drug test at MEPS disqualifies you in all branches. The only difference between the Army and Navy/AF/Marines is that the Army tells you exactly what you need to do to see if you're clean, while the other branches simply tell you not to take the test unless you're sure you're clean.

  • @templarknight86 Youre missing the point. So are the eight retards who gave this comment thumbs up.

  • @thatstheguy07 I think you are missing the point nobody is being asked to lie here. The recruiter is just doing everything by the book and if you disagree with this policy then thats a different matter. Read my post above this one for more info before you judge people

  • this news station is dumb as fuck there is no wrong doing by the recruiter. this is not news. i hate dumb people.

  • how dare they encourage people who may have fucked up along the road to stop doing drugs.

i agree with the marines and airforce, if you do drugs once, your a druggie for life! no second chances

  • What do you mean how DARE they? They can do whatever the hell they want. They are the fuckin' army.

  • its called sarcasm. i suggest re reading my comment

  • I suggest using proper grammar. Then you'll be much better off. Plus, you wont look like an imbecile.

  • that retired colonel is an effing idiot.

  • well how the hell are they going to get the drug to the fucking place.. and ya i agree that guy is a idiot

  • so what? if someone wants to serve but cant pass a drug test right away what the army is doing is totally appropriate. theirs no doubt once their in they wont be doing any drugs, unless they really really wana go through all the trouble of smuggling it and what not...

  • exactly i mean damn if you do a drug once its not like your gonna wanna do it for life (not all the time though) and damn wait till you are clean before you go wait a month since you did whatever drug

  • this isnt news... wtf.. people didnt know this ??

yeah, the army is a great way for druggies to get clean and learn discipline, idiots..

  • Oh, gee whiz, excuse the Army for giving someone a chance to turn their life around. I've never taken or smoked any illegal substance in my life and I still don't find this controversial at all. Like some others have said, if you're clean and keep clean, what's the big deal?

  • Hey do u know what I can do because I have 3 felines but they Ben dropd to misdeminers and some army recruiters say I can get a wavier but then some say I'm dq for all branches can anybody give me some advice and tell me what I can do please. HELP

  • lol learn to spell felonies and don't get any of them.....

  • Hey... if you got 3 felines, please do not join the Army... those cats are going suffer missing you too much.

    jeje

  • well it may be the same waiver that im trying to get. If they happened when you were a minor and it has been 5 years since the date of the arrest and you havent had any other police involvement since, your golden. basically. Of course this has to get aproved by the higher ups, there is no black and white 100% answer to that question. Good luck to you

  • Of course its the amy and not the marines, airforce, and navy. but really i know the army will accept anyone but this is proboly fake

  • oh wow...they give them drug tests...who gives a shit? i did that.

  • How the hell do you be a recruiter if you can't meet weight standards!

  • Fairly standard practices. Dont think the other services recruiters wouldnt do it. This news show also demoted that Lt. Col. to a Lt. They should probably apologize for that. Its a huge demotion.

  • Because these recruiters have a lick of goddamn sense, maybe?

  • all recruiters around where i live (army, navy, air force, marines, coast guard) give drug tests at the office. that way they dont waste the government's money and time by sending someone to MEPS that is gonna piss hot. shit the police are the same way. except when you join the PD you gotta be clean for a year and they give a polygraph. all the military doesnt care as long as your clean

  • So what's the big deal? So long as your clean when you enlist and stay clean your good..this is gay, the effing liberal media pisses me off. The way USAREC pushes people what else are they supposed to do? Bottom line, if they're clean and they stay clean, then they're good

  • shit i took a test at the recruiting office. who gives a fuck? somebody smokes a little weed before he joins the military. big fucking whoop.

  • Word, i dont use drugs but who the fuck cares if someone smokes one fucking joint?

You got a fucking president that have smoked weed, big fucking deal.

Aslong as they dont use it while they are in the shit, whats the big deal?

  • recruiters have numbers they HAVE to meet. no fail. you fail, your NCOER will reflect and your career is off track. my advise, dont let these fuckers in. they're a pain in the ass when they get to a unit. if you cant abstain from drugs to better your life, go back and work at burger king....

  • dude your in the military you pick trash and clean toilets for a living burger king is a step up from were your at lol theres a reason why DOD allows e-4 and below to have welfare...your getting paid roughly 2.50 an hour do the math on that les you have if you even know how

  • Yeah, this is bad journalism. The Army is si
