Music is about conveying emotions. You can't really judge a band by how technical they are. Though, such a trait helps them better communicate, with a much more broad spectrum of sounds and arrangements. Tool is so much more than just music, it is a mind experience. If you are receptive to it, it will inspire you in great ways.
