@noobexperte actually r7 and r1 is a different bike..its of yamaha r series..but r7 was produced only 500 units throughout the whole world in 1999 to meet the rules of FIM in the SBK competition during that year..Haga used this insane bike that year..i really love this bike, so sad yamaha didn't continue to produce this bike..really can't understand why?..its really rare, and so lucky to the 500 owners..
Everybody knows that bikes don´t keep with porsches. I´m ceptical too, thats an R7?? Thats isn´t even the quicksest porsche...the rsr orange is the quick shift one. Strange video...
Before starting change presents, i must say that phisicaly is much more difficult to ride fast in a bike. You keep the pace with porsche only for a while, like 20minutes or so, than you give up. And i say a 964 91 potential is enouf. Or you´ll get yourself killed...
Nope. I own an R7 and a 98 R1. The windscreen is a completely different shape. This windscreen is definitely 98/99 R1. Type yamahar1r7 in the search bar, and check out my bikes...
Many private owners out there. In the US, they initially only sold the bike to licensed racers or certified team owners. After numerous problems with engine reliability and lagging sales, they went public. In 99, they were going for 32K. Just one year later, unsold bikes could be found for 24K. They were not street-legal in the US, but came with a stamped VIN number that could be passed off on the DMV as a street-legal VIN. My video should prove that there's private owners.
Well, now you do. At first, Yamaha only sold the Seven to licensed racers and certified team owners. However, after numerous engine failures and slumping sales, they knocked 8K off the retail price, and sold them publically. Each R7 came with a 17-digit VIN, so street registration was possible if the DMV guy wasn't paying close attention. That's the way I got mine on the road.
It seems likely that the guy in the Porsche and the guy on the bike might be friends. He could have passed him several times during the lap. it's also pretty clear that the Porsche slowed down and let the bike catch up. It's a bit harsh calling the Porsche driver a "cock" or an "asshole" though. Maybe they traded vehicles on the next lap. Who knows? I'm just mad that I didn't take my car or my friends bike to the Nurburing when I was in Germany.
Clearly, all depends on how familiar you are with this undulating, long, complex road course. And then your skill and bravery come into play as well. I give the rider of this bike a good strong "B" for effort. At least he creamed the asshole in the white Porsche.
That guy in the Porsche needs to learn how to respect motor bikes, when he passes that bike on the corner... god that was dangerous... what a cock, glad the R7 got him in the final straight.
what is a r7r1??
