Whenever I hear this, I feel like its Christmas. It could be because the first time I heard it was on the final episode Search for Tomorrow. Which aired on December 26th. But I feel like I should be decoratin a Christmas tree while this song is on. Am I alone on this? It sounds like Christmas song!
Beautiful combination of voice and orchestral arrangement. This is mt favorite version of this song. Riddle really slow cooks on the swing here. Classic Sinatra.
Frankie Laine did not help to write this song. He wrote it. Carl Fischer was given
composer credit, but was really the publisher I have the Capitol 78 of Laine's recording. Laine was also native of our area, Skagit county in Washington State.
One of my all-time favorite songs by the Chairman. Frankie Laine helped write the tune in the mid-'40s; and Rosemary Clooney cut a nice version much later (the b-side to "Mambo Italiano"). Thanks for posting!

I never tire of listening to this song sung by the master. It's one of my favourite ballads. This one's a classic.
