@moofus1 Other than Stations are there any other tunes from this show? This video is too good and it sounds like they go into Killer Parties at the end which might be my favorite tune of theirs.
im from down under and i just love these guys thrashin the shit out of their albums never get bored of the stories of people around em makes feel like my life is so boring be good to have some rocknroll problems again
I heard they ripped off their sound from an unreleased record made by some unnamed almighty rock gods who destroyed, like, ten evil universes with awesomeness lasers.
Awesome. If Paul Westerberg, Chris Mars, Tommy Stinson and Bob Stinson had gone to grad school and never been in a fistfight, they would sound like this.
he got that from a guy named Warner hodges.Warner is a fantastic=tic player who was the lead man for a band called Jason and the Nashville Scorchers.a cross betweenJerry reed and Eddie Van Hal en
I tried to do this in my bedroom and almost broke my guitar, neck and the ceiling. it smashed into the ceiling straight away. don't know how you can just LEARN to do it.
i reallllllllly hope they play this song when i see them next wednesday at the london roundhouse...
Even Mozart wrote I-IV-V progressions in 4/4. It happens, dude. Just because this is straightforward doesn't decrease the value of the art at all. Art is always contextual; and right now, the Hold Steady's fucking important. It doesn't hurt that they're awesome, too.

I give a shit. I demand a bit more from art than simplistic fun. If I want music that's simple and fun, I would like it to either groove or rock hard; this really does neither. It's wishy-washy, gray, featureless and predictable. Pre-chewed, easy to grasp and lacking in mental or spiritual nutrition. But, hey, to each his own...
Wow. Cool I'm glad I found you here. I've been looking for you all my life. Who should I be listening to to capture the art of it? What do you think about The Who, for example? Your answer will clarify much for me.
I seen every video ever posted on Youtube. I can say with no hyperbole that is the best of them all. It's not even close

It's about time for a band with some rocking solos.
tromafirmer88 4 years ago 4
it seems the art of a good old fashion rock solo has been lost to either shredding or no solo at all
