@TacticalMonky Yeah 13F is similar, but they aren't trained as extensively as TACP is. With the exception of Ranger 13F's, those guys are high speed. I just enlisted 13F in the Guard, and I'm considering enlisting TACP after I finish college if I really like 13F stuff and want to take it to the next level.

TACP without a doubt! Security Forces is what it sounds like, base security. Verifying identification at checkpoints, guarding aircraft and special materials, patrolling the base etc... When deployed there is a chance to see action doing work in convoy escorts, work in handling detainees, etc... But noting in the USAF enlisted branch can compete with the intensity and action of TACP except PJ and CCT. Not to slam Security Forces, everyone has a role to fulfill and is needed.
Slam away. I was Security Forces for 9 years before crosstraining to TACP. I am the SME on just how gay Security Forces can be. Iraqi Police Training and joint tasked K9 are probably the only cool parts and that's like 0.1% of the career field.
Well the Raven program is cool too for the fact of seeing exotic locations, but that's just as tough getting into as the police training and the K-9 program.
Depends on your definition of cool. On the ground deliberately executing the war on terrorism is what we're talking about. Wearing flight suits and sight seeing might be a neat experience, but hardly compares to guys sending hadjis to their 40 virgins.
Not to mention that the Raven program isn't really all that intensive. I've seen some of the products that's made it through and it really isn't impressive. Don't let them fool you. ;)
im security forces now and have been for 4 years now. when i get home from this deployment ,or as i call TDY cause this is to fin scate, i plan on goin for TACP if they will let ssgts in. i hear that there not. i hate my job so bad.. security forces is a joke. i dont care what anyone says. ive seen the most stupid shit ever bein sf. i dont regret it but i cant begin to explain on how stupid the united states air force security forces career field actually is. i wouldnt wishit to my worst enemy
