  • How do you see your pit stall?

  • So can use any car with any track?

  • @ushra3

You can practice with any car / track combo that you own. When it comes to racing only certain cars run at certain tracks for sanctioned racing.

  • @simracingtonight: So does this game have any real life production cars in it? Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche, Lamborghini) for example.

  • Think we should tell him that the south Boston track is actually in Virginia? Haha

  • @NazarethNostalgia

I have told that a few times since that video

  • to me this just sounds like a complete rip off, yeah there is new track and cars available but the is much more content for other sims and its a hell of a lot cheaper

  • What the he'll is iracing?:/

  • so..you subscribe monthly payments you get two cars? then i have to join online tournaments to get paid to buy more cars? correct?

  • I want it. I just don't wanna pay for it.

  • this sim is so advanced...

it has tracks that are based on original tracks that were moved into the game by scanning them with a laser!

WOW this is so futuristic!!! xD

i really like this sim, but for its price....

i think i will go for rFactor :/ (not so expensive compared to iRacing, but obviously the price is understandable...)

  • @HoLDoN4Sec gt5 had the tracks scanned by laser to lol

  • Okay a few questions:

    1) Is there a certain age group for this, because I'm 15 and really love simulation racing. I can still race, right?

    2) With my love for simulation racing, I am, however, fairly new to the whole sim racing. Is this broken up in different segments (i.e. driving skills)?

Thank You. I am really looking forward to this. This looks unbelievably amazing

  • I remember spending half a year to get to a consistent 1:03 with the rookie solstice at Lime Rock. This is really something different. Helps a lot to understand how cars works at they're limits. I miss the old tire on the solstice a lot.

  • I racing looks good, but subscription fee and still not getting the full package.

No thanks, I'll just stick to gt5 even if it's not even close to iracing physics.

  • @Sexxonable the full package is around $600

  • if you want a good f1 sim go for f12010 is only 30€ or so and no pay per mounth and it have dx11 grafic engine

  • can u customize a car on iracing

  • @RichieMorrocco You can change their set ups.

  • guys i have the choice between iracing and live for speed whats better ?

  • What fps would you say is good for Iracing?

    Thanks

  • these people rob you

  • my wheels has not force feedback, he works on iracing?

  • i have a stering wheel, but ins't a logitech, he works on iracing?

    thanks

  • GT5 fans say "shit...GT5 is a best racing sim" = fail...

  • @rocketman5011 GT5 is the best racing sim on the consoles and is hands down the has the best looking and most detailed car models. GT is for car lovers and is more mainstream. iRacing is for the hardcore racers out there and so is not that well known as it does not appeal to that much of an audience.

  • @rocketman5011 Gran Turismo is the best Driving Simulator Franchise on Console:)

  • what is better? iracing or netkar pro. netkar pro has chassis flex and visible tire wear btw

  • @zzranmazz i played and play netkar pro, iracing, lfs, gtr and rfactor..... what i love the most? can't tell, i love them all lol

  • @zzranmazz iracing, by far, I have both btw

  • would a logitech driving force gt steering wheel be any good for iracing?

  • @marki61422 yes

  • damn, buy a used car and go to a track, damn nerds...seriously.

(this is only for those who have a driver's licence "grownup nerds")

  • @mamiferuD I'm sure your comment is very mature.

  • they don't have a track in my area

    but thanks for the advice.....

  • @mamiferuD

Rofl, grow up, what are you 14?

  • @mamiferuD But it's a lot safer playing online.

  • O_O It's Greger Huttu as a D license. I never thought I would see the day. Too bad this video's really old =P

  • He sounds like Jeremy Clarkson's car snob voice.

  • Laser scanning, laser scanning, laser scanning...

  • wtf why didn't i ever heard of this game. Driving LFS, RFactor,...searching for the best sim :/

    This looks brilliant.

    Going for subscription!

  • I hope Shaun Cole doesn't really think South Boston is in Boston @ 4:47

  • ive paid for a month just to be on the safe side. having played rfactor for ages i dont think iracing is worth it. Yes its good and you feel part of a community but thats about it. having to pay subscriptions is harsh and can become very expensive and you feel abliged to play often cos its cost you. Rfactor is more balanced, 100's of mods, cheaper and in my opinion looks better. Iracing is impressive but with rfactor 2 coming out this year ive got a feeling that iracing may slowly fade away

  • @jonahmoffatt Any signs of rFactor 2 yet? =)

  • paying for every one crashing into you... naahhh

  • iRacing is the best sim there is at the moment and properly will

be the best in the future too but like other "sims" there is a big problem, The loose setups, like all know Loose is fast in sim world but those setups are really real world car killers.

Real sim needs to have real world like setups or it is nothing

more than a game, at least thats what I feel.

  • @mag2ster loose is fast in real life too, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, etc...always drove looser cars than anyone else on the track.

  • No production cars????

  • what about production cars?? le mans??

  • Jeez how many times does the guy say "Sim" haha oh man

  • Crazy there were only 385 topics in the general members discussion forum. Now there are close to 18,000 topics in the general forum alone. iRacing has certainly gotten more popular since this was posted...

  • How much is the game, and if we pay for online monthly, someone please, I like real racing.

  • @calito0010 just go to the iracing website.

  • Any free demo? I'm not sure how well my computer will work with this game

  • @zYzmrZIzYz There are promotion codes for a $5 one-month trial available on the website. They tried to do a free demo but too many people created free accounts with fake names and started havok in the rookie level races, so they canceled that. It's worth $5 to see if you like it...

  • @zYzmrZIzYz if your not sure, it wont. trust me

  • Any free demo? I'm not sure how well my computer will work with this game

  • Try NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. iRacing and NR2003 are almost identical, but NR2003 was OUTSTANDING and had a ton of modifications to enhance realism and also have 2010 carsets and what not. If you can't afford it, look around for NASCAR Racing 2002 season. same as NR2003, but cheaper, less modifications, still a fun game though.

  • Looks like a great sim, but the price point will force you into a decision. Either play IRacing or have a girlfriend? You can't do both.

  • @AtomicDragon71

    lol, get a job dude

  • @AtomicDragon71 i chose iRacing :(

  • iRacing has surely changed a LOT since this preview... for much better of course.

  • No only cockpit view,

  • @ResizedPeople GTR series from Simbin. They are just great simulations.

  • Iwrecking is a disaster run by computer nerds. What they don't tell you is the $800.00 cost.

  • kill yourself.

  • @Junky53 Whats your problem? Check your facts before posting bullshit. iRacing doesnt cost that much and it IS, the best simulation on the world.

I know it pisses of poor people like you playing your crappy arcade games..

  • @HMSa77 lol Forza 3 by a long shot...check your facts LMAO!!!

  • @gunblade1499

Forza 3 is an arcade game.

  • OMG looks really COOL!

  • grand prix legends!!!

  • Can u plz tell me what i need to run iRaing like in graphical and stuff?

  • go to their site. its uder the membership tab

  • how old is this? im really not impressed

  • This preview was posted over a year ago.. They have made some big advancements since this.

  • how far has shaun gotten in his career? Im curious

  • @EaAddict360

he's an A class road (in only 45 races) and a C class oval in 8 races, both with a 50% top 5 rate...

I was in a 120mins at Sebring Corvette practice with him the other week.

  • @SuperColossal33 cool. this past week 13, i got my road D class and I already have my Oval D class

  • @simracingtonight Even bigger now lol.

    F1 Williams and Spa!

  • @simracingtonight

its oxford plains...not oxford pass. and the company is in boston ma. this south boston track is in south boston verginia

  • @KirkTheGod

iRacing is about a realistic driving experience, one you really can't understand by watching videos...It's not about fancy graphics, damage or things like that (even though they are being upgraded as the game goes along).

When you start this game and have to spend days learning a new track or car, spend hours refamiliarizing yourself in practice with a track you haven't been to in a while, you'll understand. After playing something like this, Forza will feel like Mario Kart to you

  • @KirkTheGod Live for speed is very similar to this. Having to jump through hurdles just to race sounds awful though. Paying for cars is bull! Buy the game and get everything. You should never have to buy cars or tracks if you are paying a monthly fee. LFS wins here, even if it doesn't have real life tracks.

  • i really want this game...and a wheel lol

  • Well, how much you pay for your phone monthly? Spend in one bar visit? Or whatever else. It's all worth it. It sets apart from any other "game" out there (yes, even rFactor). Mostly, because it's not a game at all. I'm not trying to convince you here, cause I can't. But a word of advice. Try it! One month. That's all. Then you know if it's for you or not.

  • this siht is so expensive...ill stick wth gran turismo and forza.

  • but this is a real racing sim , gt and forza are not simulators

  • Forza 3 is one of the best sims ever, much better than rfactor or that expensive i racing. Go check out Insidesimsracing review of it. they love it.

  • and youre comparing a 2009 game to a 2006 game ...

  • Uhh there are 2008 and 2009 mods to rfactor... u know that right?

  • yes , but mods can only add so much to the core engine of the game , anyways , this is about serious racing simulation not graphics or car collecting , i reccomend people just play what they feel is the best for them , its all opinionated

  • Mods can replace a whole physic system. Mods can do anything that is the reason why forza has to get it right because it is harder to add mods to a console game. FORZA 3 is easily the best "SIM" right now. It Has one of the most realistic visuals and the physics are out of this world. Not saying that iracing is bad, im just saying its a waste of money.

  • waste of money ? DUNNO , lets see , forza 3 online playign against immature assholes , or iracing online only playing aginst serious pros ? they prob put a price subscription on it to keep it serious ,

  • umm Have u even played live to say that? There are different levels of online game play. Play the real ones with real drivers not the ones where people slam into walls. I guess u have never played forza.

If i had to pay that much for a game, i guess i would drive extremely carefully too.

  • lol iracing is not all serious pros believe me. you'll have a hard time getting out of rookie even if you're better than everyone else, because people are selfish with trying to pass and play it as a game still.

  • It's too bad Forza 3 IS NOT a simulator though.... It's a racing game that strives to be one, but falls short compared to other actual sims out there. It doesn't matter how good you make the graphics look. That doesn't define a simulator. I'm not saying it's a bad game or it's not fun, it's just not a SIMULATOR. Compared to something like GTR2 or iRacing, Forza's physics don't match either of those games..

  • thats not what insideSImRacing said. they said FORZA 3 maybe be better than r factor and many other computer sims.

watch there review. Computer sims arent the benchmark anymore. console have caught en up.

  • Yeah, InsideSimRacing also said that Need for Speed: Shift had the best physics around. Right....Yeah, why don't you find another source and make this one a reliable one.

  • @mooch37 I know, bought NFS shift cause i thought it was realistic (Got GTR). Then it turned out to just be an... Donno what to call it Overdriven car game, they try to make real, but to much and it just gets overcooked... Got the G25, dont see how the hack you can use H-shift in the game and the steering in the game is terreble. Like you got to tonns behind on the wing going from side to side, cant drive the car steady!! And worse is that the car every time you turn in, it drifts automatically.

  • Wow, where to begin...First of all, the G25 is a cool wheel, but you should have thought about the shifter before hand. I personally have a Logitech MOMO and it's perfect having the paddle shifters. Second, GTR is about as close to realism as it gets. You're just used to all these NFS games where you can fly around the corners and not think another thing about it. You don't slide everywhere if you know how to take the corners and know when to slow down.

  • I know... I said that the Need for speed game sucks and isnt realistic, every corner when you turn in you; atleast get the feeling of drifting and i know thats not how you drive fast. And I said that it wasnt posible to use the H-shifter on the game, but i found the clutch; witch didnt make any difference at all. You just mucked down on everything I said...

  • Not quite. You made it seem like you were talking about how GTR was "Overdriven" and the steering was horrible. You need to think about how you phrase your sentences. Besides, I figured you knew what the clutch was and knew how to use it and were just saying it's too difficult to change gears and drive at the same time. So don't try and attack me for your lack of understanding about how a manual works.

  • Oh and one more thing, in case you didn't know, in a real track race, there is no drifting. You lose speed when you do that. Lots of people out there have the misconception that drifting makes you go faster.

  • @mooch37

Wow mooch way to get your information TOTALLY WRONG. In one of insidesimracing's episodes they QUOTED the NFS:SHIFT Developers who CLAIMED shift would have revolutionary/ most realistic.

Next time LISTEN to what someone says. It will prevent you from sounded like a douchebag pushing misinformation.

  • Also, one last thing, console "sims" as you like to call them, are hardly ever going to be as realistic as PC games because of this one reason and while there are others out there, this one stands alone: PC's are relatively expensive, right? There's no doubt about that. So people are willing to pay higher dollar for good sim whereas consoles are mostly kids and developers don't want kids having too hard of a time racing otherwise it's not fun. No fun = No business = No revenue. See my point?

  • wow 8 bucks a month? im paying around that much for xbox LIVE. and guess what? i get unlimited access to demos and online gameplay for every sbos game. this is a fucking rip off.

  • what the hell is an "sbos" heheh You dont like it dont subscribe I think this looks awesome

  • i meant to say xbox game. your seriously better off buying forza 3 on tuesday when it comes out on xbox 360. better graphics. over 400 cars. and over 100 tracks. plus i dont even know if that shit game over there has any japanese cars. i mean like, wheres the fucking 1998 sti?

  • well dont you need GAMES to play with ur live?

the cars and tracks in iracing cost less, not to mention its better than any consle game ull ever play

  • It's now only $100 for a year, which comes out to $8.25 a month. Not too bad considering what people pay for MMO games.

  • guys import beat american cars easly

  • This game is really expensive like for a year couple hundred bucks .

  • jesus, this game is insane. it's cool looking but the pricing method is very over-the-top

  • They actually just dropped the price....sweet

  • This is why I dont allow comments...Geez dudes..chill LOL

  • Guys hook me up... im thinkin bout joining i racing.... what kinda steeringwheel, pedals and gearbox should i get?? What about the race frame or cage???

  • the G25 is great.

    or wait for the G27

  • Hahahahahahahahaha

iRacers (read: chumps) get me every time!!! So easy to get em worked up about this crap!!!

You are just attempting to justify the stupid expense you put into this shoddy half sim with every single post not just to everyone that reads but to yourself!!!!

Thanks but no thanks!!!! If i want this alleged realism i get in my mx5 and take it to the track!!!

  • A mx5? are you serious thats like burley a car, its so tiny and cramped i wouldnt get in on even if they paid me, and a mx5 is not a race car no matter what you do to it, and if u have to do somethign to it is probably because is too slow when its stock, an mx5 is a car to go get the groceries not a sports car at all, although u can burley fit any grocerie bags in it, what you need to do is get your head out of your ass and get a real car with power, not some emberising mx5.

  • An mx5 is most definetely a sports car.. Have you ever driven a sports car?

  • An mx5 is not a sports car because its burley a car its half a car, even if you could consider it to be a sports car because mazda said so its gotta be the slowes sports car out there, i mean that thing weighs less than 2200 pounds its got ur standard weak masda motor, and besides being so cramped its just slow.

  • Lightweight, weak, slow. You just descriped a typical old school sports car, but you forgot "fun". Speed has nothing to do with it. Its how you feel when driving it on a country road with many corners..

  • Wow are you serious? Ure about as ignorant as they come, first of all i did not do anything but describe ur car, and second of all if your talking about comparing ur piece of shyt to a shelby cobra, or a corvet then ur a too dumb to realize that ur car doesnt not compare with an old sports car, and old sports car will beat ur little mazda anything and guess what we are in 2009 a lot has changed since the sixties smart guy, u car will never mean anything. So dont waste my time talking about a Mx5

  • Actually, I'd say posen is right, and you're the ignorant one. Take a Shelby or a Vette or a Viper to a corner to find out what's a sportscar is NOT. Take a small lightweight RWD with refined suspension to a corner and voila - a sportscar it is. Besides, there's more to being a sportscar than being heavy, and powerful. (as well as the fact that you're missing : Racing is about drivers competing with their skill, on similar vehicles. It could be F1, it could be lawnmowers)

  • Thank you..

  • Thats the dumbest thign ive ever heard, the idiot who doesnt know shit about cars says a fucken mx5 is better than a viper, please dont say stupid shit like that just cause your lame imports are slow and ur angry. First of all if racing is about skill then whats the purpouse of having a slow car that does all the work? Theres no fun in driving if you dont have to turn the wheel to actually man handle the car, u idiots now a days think they know how to drive

  • u dont know anything about racing, now a days you idiots have all the power steering and are a bunch of sisys with their driving skills, i would like to put you in a 4000 lbs car with no power steering and going 180+ miles at daytona, i would bet money and i know u just fail, ur talking about racing being a sport of skill but what skill is involved if ur car does all the work? Theres no point in that, u need to realize this is 2009, and u bet an old muscle car can beat an import in anything.

  • I agree that skill was more important back in the day and i also think that motorsport has taken a few wrong turns. I miss the old Group B rally of the early 80's.

But as humans we need to innovate to evolve and that is what is happening in motorsport. Stop beeing stupid.

"u need to realize this is 2009, and u bet an old muscle car can beat an import in anything" lol, does that include fuel economy??? hahah

  • Inovate by being lazier? Bitching is not inovation morron, "racers" now a days want everything perfect, and thats why racing is more boring everyone knows that, take a look at what is happening in nascar, which i love but all you hear on the radios is drivers bitching about theyr cars, maybe if they would just learn to control their cars they wouldnt complain, i understand u will not always have the perfect car, but if we continue to be lazzy to drive well never beinovative.

  • I dont know enough about nascar to be comfortable commenting on thiis. I was talking about F1 and WRC. A lot of technology developed for f1 and wrc has found its way into road cars, which again has led to "better" cars for consumers.

  • Just for the record... in the late 60', early 70', in BTCC, the camaros and the mustangs... were battling hard to beat... ehm... MINIS... that's a fact... an awfully underpowered crampbox with FF layout, could beat a camaro in a fair race (and vice versa ofcourse)... I DO believe cars have moved on since then, with tech. marvels like the Nissan GT-R, Mitsu Evo, which are more than a match for any 40 year old car. you know, evolution of the vehicle... oh wait, that didn't happen in US, sorry...

  • Shows how stupid americans really are thnx for replying ignorant person who doesnt know about cars. Go read a book, or better yet go talk to real car guys and learn a thing or two.

  • Have read your comments ... and you seem like a typical simulator racer with zero experience in real cars on track.

I'd take you to the ring any day in the car of your choice.

  • Pls dont discuss racing with me thats what you think you can do you dont know me at all, another ignorant person, you sound like a jack ass with no racing skills but a lot fo anger.

  • I do not own an Mx5 but i have driven one on serveral occasions, i have also driven a few corvettes and i have also had the pleasure of driving a shelby cobra replica. And i assure you, the most bang for your buck is the mx5. It is reliable and fun to drive. Where i live (Norway) most the roads are corners and few long straights. So there is no need for high speed. There is no way that an old american sports car from the sixties would beat the mx5 on a course with many corners.

  • Like i said ignorantboy who only wants to hear what he wants, ur mx5 is not better than an old corvette or shelby cobra, and guess what if your car is lighter than the old ones then that just means ur car has a weak motor in it and you need a lgiht body to be able to run, i would like to see u put ur motor on a corbette body it wouldnt do what a corvette does U still have a lot to learn about cars and why they were invented, and if you say they were invented to race, then u just dont know anytin

  • Dude, stop putting words in my mouth. I never said it was better, i said it would be faster round a track with lots of corners. Are you talking about a C6? Why on earth would i put a mx5 engine in a corvette?? And why would i say that cars were invented for the sole pupose of racing? Have you ever driven an mx5? And dude, i have nothing against american cars or anything like that. If i was driving coast to coast across the usa i would rather drive a Viper than an mx5.

  • Not faster around the corners than an old shelby Of course ive driven a mazda thats what i do i compare cars all the time, and thats why i tell you cause ive been there ive driven a lot of cars, and with the new technology old cars are making a comeback just because a car is low to the ground and light weight doesnt necesseraly make it better, im telling you from experience all these new cars are really a rip off, why would i invest in a car that looses its value when i drive it off the lot?

  • Didnt cars loose their value when you drove them of the lot in the 60's?

  • I dont know lets see.... a 69 charger rt cost about 3,000 back then now one original is going for upwards of 40,000 grand, u do the math, and a general lee original cost about 250,000 so no they didnt loose theyr value.

  • HAHAHA, you can't be serious... you certainly can't... nobody can have his head up his own arse so deep in ignorance... Dollar (you know, USA currency... maybe you didn't know) HAS LOST IT'S VALUE. And General Lee original costs so much NOT because it's a Dodge Charger, but because it WAS IN THE MOVIE SERIES... LMAO, man, thanks, you made my day... Im seriously crying here with laughter... Im out of this conversation, I'd rather talk to people with positive IQ

  • wow, its like talking with a little kid, i think my dog is smarter than you, idiot doesnt know anythign about cars, and all he can do is laughit out, good one. Trying to compare a 3600lbs car with a piece of shyt mini And a nissan gt-r That fucken car is the slowest of them all, just because some fake as computer graphics made it seem fast in the two fast two furious movie dosnt mean its actually a fats car, i had the pleasure of cmparin the challenger and the skyline and the skyline is a waste.

  • Lay off the crack pipe...

  • Your still talking about the past when im trying to tell you is move one... let it go, u just cant realize modern cars arent built to get the best value, thats why we get cheap painted plastic bumper covers, we get cheap plastic inside. Since you just cant stop thinking about crack maybe u should lay off the drugs hyppie.

  • you are the one who keeps talking about how old cars are faster and better than new cars... And i agree, i do prefer the look and feel of a claasic car. Modern cars have to conform to safety regulations which really limit the design possibilities. But great looking cars are still being made (Alfas are a good example). You need to stop arguing for the sole puropse of arguing,

  • Lets leave it at this new cars are not safer, how many cases of failed airbags have been reported, a lot, and the lighter aluminum they use instead of pure steel is not stronger, and lets talk about size new cars, like the scion xb are so tiny that in a car accident all the sheet metal bents into the cabin, my friend had to have surgery because an acident like that, and the sad part is she had to pay extra for side airbags and they didnt open, im done arguing.

  • Comment removed

  • watch?v=_xwYBBpHg1I

  • Did i say that they were safer? I believe they are. But that is not what i said. I said "Modern cars have to conform to safety regulations which really limit the design possibilities." Btw the mx5 is the best, fastest, and coolest car ever made. It will rape you.

  • WOW!!!!! UR THE DUMBEST FUCK OUT THERE. Thnx for the dumbest quote of the century. First of all no the mx5 is not the best, fastest or the coolest car ever made, thats why a corvette is better, faster, and cooler, so dont be a dumb ass and say something stupid like that because you know its not true, and go rappe your self fagget. Go get a life, and a brain would really help you, go learn about cars so you wont make stupid quotes like that. Idiot. ahaha You just made ur self look really dumb.

  • Irony and sarcasm is obviously new to you.

  • Anyways, since now i have confirmed that i am talking with an idiot and pervert, i will be the BIGGER man and leave this useless conversation that i am having with a jack ass that doesnt know shyt about cars. Go get a real car, no life!!!!!!!! If you reply back ur a sex offender.

  • stupid redneck a fucking r34 could kill a fucking fat ass 69 charger piece of shit.

  • Hahahah you stupid terrorist, im not a redneck idiot, and no it cant, stop your crying ur little girl, keep replying on youtube no life, no one cares what you have to say.

  • beacause its like 30 years older charger is still hardcore muscle and worth like 10 times more than a skyline, i'm a skyline lover and i still appeciate old skool muscle and a charger would still take it on in a strait line just fucked for curb weight !!!!!!

  • I'm like you in the sense that I love muscle and import (my favorite car is the Subaru STi), but in Charger VS Skyline that depends on a lot of things. First, it depends on what is done to the Charger. Second, it depends on if it's a Japanese Skyline or an American one, because when it's brought to America, the Skyline is MAJORLY downgraded. However, despite the fact that it depends on a lot of things, I think the Skyline would win overall because of the AWD system. They work wonders.

  • @IamArab1 yeah but its not american so therefore who would want one haha

  • yeah but it was worth less in 71 than in 69.. Thats what i meant. It did not gain value when you drove it of the lot in 69. And what constitues a General Lee original?? The series started in 75 ( i think) and the Charges were convered. Are these the cars you mean when you say General lee original?

  • I didn't mean to upset you by calling it a fantasy. But as i said, i won't stop you from enjoying your delusions of "professional racing". Hope you saved those credits from that yearly sub, I hear they might release another car this year!

  • Does anyone know if the Microsoft Xbox360 wireless wheel will work for this?

  • What would you guys recommend? This, VHR (rFactor) or ARCA sim racing?

  • iRacing, but i have never played the others.

  • Anything but this unless you have a few hundred dollars to drop on a sim and pay $20 a month to play it.

if you want to race stock cars, VHR is probably the most popular mod on rFactor...can find a race going any time of the day without a problem.

  • Im really tired of ppl bringing up the price of iracing. Price is not a factor for true sim racers if the quality of the sim matches up. If you really consider price in the rating of a sim, then Project Torque is the best sim ever....its free. But the physics are CRAP. No offense, but rFactor's physics are EXTREMELY arcadish compared to iracing. Besides, its not 20 per month unless you're an idiot. Its only 20/month if you're dumb enough to go month by month.

  • Well sorry, the price is a factor in everything you buy. Ok, you can pay what $50 for 3 months or $150 for a year? + extra for every car aside from the 3 you get when you subscribe and for each extra track. Is that better?

And yes, there are some arcadish mods in rFactor with unrealistic physics. But there are others that are great, I tried iRacing, its not all you people make it out to be.

And yes i know, paid endorsements make you believe that you are really learning to race in a game.

  • Dude I am not learning to race in a game. I learned at age 14 to race on the track. Lanier National Speedway, as well as Talladega Short Track to be exact. I have also talked to numerous other drivers, several of which I raced with@Lanier, and everyone agrees that there is simply nothing that compares to the physics of iracing. So, be careful when you use the "you people" statement as its a blanket characterization of ignorance.

  • I never said iRacing didn't have great physics. It does, and it has some of the best tracks. But its still a rip off and its still just a game.

And no thank you, i won't be careful.

  • Ok, for YOU it is a rip off. And quite frankly, you are the exactly the type of person that its designed to keep out. Because those who do not have a full grasp on the difference between a "sim" and a "game" are typically the ones you see spinning out in the pits, dive-bombing corners, etc. For those types, ya, its a waste of time and money. But for those of us who are serious about racing with professionals in a professional environment, price is no object.

  • If money is of no object, why even bother with a sim in the first place? Why don't you have warehouses full of race cars and a private track?

You can indulge yourself in this fantasy to any extent you like...I won't stop you.

  • Um, perhaps its time for you to grab 'ye old Merriam Webster Dictionary and look up the word "context", and then review my comment again.

    EngLit101. srsly. thx.

  • I bet you are just 24/7 on that game because you paid for it. i will try it soon, WIth a crack maybe:/

  • Nha, Im on it about 4 hours a night because its the best sim available right now. I paid for it because.......its the best sim available right now......

  • not worth it for me.

  • You can find it on pirate bay, try before you buy lol.

  • If they would sell this game in a box, let people mod it without suing them, and not nickle and dime you for every extra. It might actually be the most popular racing sim.

Maybe they just figured it would have a small but faithful audience that they could milk for everything. Which it apparently does.

  • If this was a sim in a box, in no time it would just the same as every other sim out there. Dead...

  • lol, what do you play GPL?

  • No I play the shit outta iRacing. I just like the structure there.

What would make it so different if they did this like every other game.

In a couple of years no one would play, IMO...
