This particular functionality of the iphone bothers me a lot, if I need to quick look for somebody whose name or last name is with a particular letter, can I type the letter or I have to do like this gentleman scrolling thru all the contact list or pressing the "really small" on the right column to sort the names or last names around that letter?

Do you know if there is any way to export my skypeout contacts (phone numbers) to my iphone contact lists? I have just bought an iphone and all my phone numbers are in skype, so I was wondering if I should add one by one, or if there is a program that will do that for me... Thanks for the help!

You have to hold the button on top to turn it off. Just a fast click makes the phone go to sleep.

how is your contact list like that?
mine is not sorted by a letter heading ( A then everyone under a, B and everyone under b ect..)
mine just has the names
