For example, I recently asked my mother (a retired preschool teacher who knows very little about science) if she believed in evolution and she said "yes". I then asked "why" and she said she didn't know. I also asked my sister (a 2nd grade teacher who also knows little about science) the same question and got the same answer. They were indoctrinated as kids with the lie of evolution and never questioned it.

Actually if every christian, muslim, hindu etc was a creationist (if you will), it'd be much easier to either make them see the truth of an alternative to religion or have them break under their rigid dogma. For me the universe & the earth is an ordered, structured & beautiful place. This beauty & order & the laws of science make most sense in a religious context. I'm a christian, yet I accept that all of natural world is connected in a tree of life & that mankind evolved. I see no conflict between my religion and modern scientific theories, evolution does not make life less wonderful but more. Create the feeling of Love or allow us to interpret the feeling correctly? I disagree and assure you, Love exists whether or not those chemical processes take place that allow us to sense it. Same goes with every other emotion which humans experience. They stem from either Love or Hate, but sub/consciously ours to choose to emulate. The friend artist, author who shares to elicit an emotion relates better, if the audience they are sharing with, has experienced that emotion.

@ogirv101 yes, they have. There are tons of books written about it. There are actually many chemicals involved. One has been known for a long time to increase it's occurrence in the body when a new mate is found and levels off after courtship. when people have been together for a long time it can drop to lower levels causing people to feel that they have lost the love in their relationships. It can be increased by keeping the romance alive between couples.

No claims are made out of thin are - there are no "revelations" in science. False. Most people who accept evolution do not know all those scientific disciplines. For example, I recently asked my mother (a retired preschool teacher who knows very little about science) if she believed in evolution and she said "yes". I then asked "why" and she said she didn't know. I also asked my sister (a 2nd grade teacher who also knows little about science) the same question and got the same answer. They were indoctrinated as kids with the lie of evolution and never questioned it.

95% really? Don't know where you got that number. Gallup polls says 1/3 of americans dont' accept it, so how do you figure 95% of christians do? This video gives no answers at all. Creationism makes more sense than evolution. Why? Because evolution is based off of the big bang where everything just came out of NOTHING! Evolution is a nice theory, but it starts in the middle and never explains the beginning of everything. If there were no Adam and Eve, sin wouldn't have come into the world.

I accept evolution because they have presented solid evidence, not just conjecture. I simply get annoyed when people lump evolution/abiogenisis/big bang together. they are standalone theories with their own evidence to support them, even if they are loosely related.

For me the universe & the earth is an ordered, structured & beautiful place. This beauty & order & the laws of science make most sense in a religious context. I'm a christian, yet I accept that all of natural world is connected in a tree of life & that mankind evolved. I see no conflict between my religion and modern scientific theories, evolution does not make life less wonderful but more. Also the evidence in favour of evolution is so strong that it would be illogical to deny it.

I wanted to use examples that covered explanation, prediction and testing - the three essential ingredients for a good scientific theory. I could probably find 3 better ones though, although those are good. He predicted the location of the earliest humans! And in the complete absence of any fossils from the homo genus at the time. I can relate to the young-earth-creationism mindset. I was as intransigent as they get about 15 years ago. The major problem (which was my problem) is that peer-reviewed scientific literature is dismissed out of hand or viewed suspiciously due to a prior commitment to certain religious/philosophical concepts. When one thinks in that fashion, intellectual progress is severely stifled.

If you believe in God you can not support the theroy of evolution 100% because that is a theroy that banishes the exsistence of God and the creation of Adam. One thing about the theory of evolution that I believe is that we and animals have the ability to adapt to different environments. Do some research on the history of Christianity, in Christianity, the orthodoxy has always been to take Genesis allegorically not literally. Creationism is in fact a relatively new idea, started around the 19th century.

One has been known for a long time to increase it's occurrence in the body when a new mate is found and levels off after courtship. when people have been together for a long time it can drop to lower levels causing people to feel that they have lost the love in their relationships. It can be increased by keeping the romance alive between couples.

I hate the misconception that evolution equals atheism. It's just as annoying as the one about young earth creationism being the only option for a Christian. I still don't know many Christians that accept evolution and I'm at a Christian college.

Sophia I've enjoyed you videos but basically this says that NOTHING in creationism (God created the universe and life but exact processes are not clear) is TRUE? yet evolution makes grand claims that are unsupported, some may be true but by & large evidence is lacking. Prove it.
The fact is all godless atheist are PRO Evolution, because it implies (at least to them) God had nothing to do with it. I do believe God can do anything; its not MAGIC, we just don't know, NOT EVEN SCIENTIST. TRUTH!

Many people dont see that there is a big difference between "evolution" and "evolutionism"... atheist use evolution to spread their own ideas, thats evolutionism, but theres nothing wrong whit the basis of evolution theory, of course many of its points arent proved.

I don't have a problem with Theories even ones I think make exaggerated claims, extrapolating well beyond the observed. Many people fanatically believe in evolution because to them it implies no God is involved. It's the engine that drives atheism, especially a militant Anti-Christ version, as fanatical as any Jihadist or far right evangelical. It's ironic MOST Atheist attack Jesus, yet Islam is the one causing 100% of the terrorism. Why? Most atheism and by definition Islam are Anti-Christ.

It's easy to take a "Contrarian" attitude about God, Faith and Evolution. Personally I don't know HOW God created. However I'm not stupid. I have a masters in Physics & Mathematics and practicing Christian for 24 yrs. There are to many signs of a designer. Statistical mathematics show current theories have a nil probability of being correct. MAN arrogantly pretends to know. Some Christians arrogantly insert too much "interpretation" to the Bible, like 6000 years, not explicitly in the Bible.

Can you cite your examples? I don't think you fully understand how science works. Evidence comes first, and claims are the result of evidence. No claims are made out of thin are - there are no "revelations" in science. Sure, religion works the opposite way -> The claim comes first, and then a scavenger hunt for ambiguous "evidence" follows - - - but understand that this is not at all how science works.

Any reputable biologist will tell you that we are still not sure where or how the first life form originated. So your criticism of evolution - that "life came from nothing" - is ill-conceived. You're arguing against a claim that doesn't exist. Again, cite your examples.

Yes in REAL SCIENCE, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology has close formed solutions, data, facts. Evolution or "natural science" is VERY subjective, imagination fills in the blanks, grand extrapolation WELL beyond the observed must fit the desired story. Science is NOT BY FAITH. I don't "BELIEVE" in SCIENCE, EVIDENCE MUST PROVE IT. Evolution is the ONLY theory we have with BIG assumption. The phrase "Natural science" refers to the domains of science that try to determine the natural origin of physical phenomena. To this extent it encompasses not only evolution, but also astronomy, physics and chemistry. They differ from the formal sciences (maths and logic) and social sciences (anthropology, linguistics) in the methods used. But the same basic methods are used to the reach conclusions in chemistry, physics and biology. Evolution is a legitimate conclusion of the natural sciences.

As for your claim that "evidence must prove it" - this is a misconception that suggests you are confusing the natural sciences with the formal sciences. Proof exists in logic and mathematics, but not in the natural sciences, since human error has to be taken into account. You might call it the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle of science. What this means is that theories can only be supported or refuted, but never "proven".
