@maxrob12 There are no excuses, only basic law of science. The flag moved, when an astronaut was handling the shaft or touched the flag. Inertia caused the swinging and without air-friction to slow it down, it did swing much longer.

A blast crater would be indeed a good evidence for a fake. A compact ground under the dust layer, the power of only 3.000 lbs and the slightly horizontal landing trajectory are the reasons, why there could not be a crater.
