  • Wow what a nice machine and I think I might have seen you some time ago. Well let's say heard you before you flew past! Nice Desmo pal!

  • @yoGOES The 1198 is a V-Twin, the Desmo is a V-4.

  • how much does this cost ( in dollars )

  • Thought the race exhaust had 2 exits. 1 on the trailing edge of the lover fairing, under the foot peg and the other coming out under the taillight just like on the GP bike. Thus requiring the replacement rear end without the ceramic shield on the top

  • stessa strumentazione della 1098, solo che segna 16000 giri

  • yeah atleast call it 32 valves, 8cyl

  • desmosedici la miglior moto al mondo

  • Becuase this is a V4 based on ducati's 990cc GP6. 1198 is just a oversized Vtwin... you tell me why it's better sounding. check out aprilia RSV4 that has a V4 motor, very nice sound also.

  • the spedometer is sick

  • @jemar121 really?

  • are Termignoni exhaust nice sound

  • cool:)

  • Awesome!! Any thoughts on a middle name?

  • Mother of God it's LOUD!

  • Awesome stuff. Thanks for the post.

  • Use a full stop once in a while!

  • awesome exhaust note ! 2scooter you don't know what you're talkin about thats a v4 ducati with over 200 bhp

  • I dont like the display at all. I have yet to see anything better than a simple annalog tach.

  • I'm really glad you chose to share that fascinating piece of information with everyone who wants to watch the stunning piece of Italian exotica on screen. Interesting stuff...

  • NOLLA!!!!

  • I know a guy on youtube called Volverine240. Most annoying guy on the server!

    The ultimate symbiosis of:

    Lack of wittiness

    Sad devotion to a brand

    A cock

    A server clogger

Reliability (for being one of the above at any given moment)

  • hahahah

you are a tool with your brand loyalty

its just a car you douche bag

  • Volvo's suck cock just like yourself.

  • is this the sexiest & most brutal iron fist bike from ducati?

  • How long does it take to switch from street exhaust to race exhaust? Also since you have the race one on now isn't it not street legal? and lastly NICE BIKE

  • come on baldy lets hear that exhaust roarrrrr

  • Anyone with $75,000 can have one...

  • Dear Santa...

  • these jewels must remain in italy!!!!

  • Oh fuck off!! Dont talk shit!!

  • you shit american, don't even be able to do cars!!!!jajajajaja!!!

  • You're an idiot!! lol Learn how to speak english before you embarass yourself any further you "shit italian".

What a dickhead!! Dont know how much you paid for your english lessons, but after an effort like that, you should ask for your money back!!!

    FUCKTARD!! lol

  • you make me laugh!!!!!!poor boy

  • Fuck you little bastard (from italy)

  • hey look no rear passenger seat to take the girls in ha ha thats great no asking can i go for a ride ha ha ya you can go for a ride with me just let me blow all the smoke up your ass from the bike ha ha

  • that's what I was thinking...

  • Che spettacolo.........

  • gioiello made in italy

  • Does everybody see where the exhaust leaves the bike....In the freakin tail fairing.... Absolutely beautiful.

  • you have absolutly right....i have a hommade ducati monster in progres...in my room......

  • Suono fantastico. Un pezzo di alto artigianato. E' l'equivalente su due ruote di un cronografo automatico interamente costruito a mano.

  • to be fair he's right, there making 1500 of them!

  • my mistake, i was miss informed

  • F**K me what an ignorant fool. This bike costs £45,000 you really think the people who get one of these are going to change there own exhaust when Ducati will do it for you before you collect the bike? This bike comes with 2 exhaust systems, you simply say which one you would prefer.

  • Cleatus,

This was the day that the bike arrived, in a crate, all the way from the place where pizza is made. No, not goodfella's.

This motorcycle is worth more than your sisters bail bond - so, you don't go whacking it with pappy's rifle butt to fix stuff.

Lastly, these things need all kinds of electrickery stuff messed with. You can't just get your grannies drain pipes on there and hope it runs right.

You better run along now, it's almost time for your date with your cousin.

  • Most of that sound is the dry clutch, thats why it stays the same when he revs it.

with the cluth in or when your driving you will not hear the "cluter"

  • Tune up hahaha.... No!!!

This is a highly and perfectly tuned race machine, this is how it sounds at low revs. Have you ever heard a Lamborghini or an F1 car when it idles, sounds like its flooding but at high revs they sing like angels.

I had the privilege of going to the testing of this bike yesterday at Kyalami, some rich guy that owns one let the media test it for a local show, FUUUUUUUUCK MEEEEE its amazing, even more so in real life

  • Ducati bikes sounds like that... because of the desmonic engice... (valves w/o springs)

  • i think you mean the desmodromic engine and the lack of actual meal valve springs is replaced by a pneumatic valve opening and closing system (desmodromics). In actual fact the valve system has nothing to do with the tone of the desmosedici it has everything to do with the tuning, firing order and also exhause back pressure design. Coupled together it makes for one of the highest reving bike in the motogp paddock. These are the reasons why Yamaha,Suzuki, kawasaki have switched to pneumatic's also

  • Desmodromic is not pneumatic

  • @ibanezuv7

    your pretty fuckin wrong!!

  • @rama6maiden apart from the Desmodromic system being pneumatic Im actually pretty fuckn right having tuned enough bikes for the track !! Exhaust note is combination of all of the points i mentioned! Including displacement and exhaust design itself!

  • @ibanezuv7 Are you joking about the pneumatic valves? Please tell me you are.

  • @jamesandrew2000 if youre refering to the desmo being pneumatic, read up ive already held my hands up as i got it wrong with regards to the ducati being pnuematic not the use of them in general in the motogp paddoc

  • @ibanezuv7 Ducati does not, or has ever used a pnuematic valve actuating system in any bike. Same goes for their MotoGP efforts. They simply have two separate cam lobes for each valve in the head. One opens it and the other closes it.

  • @jamesandrew2000 mate read back up !!!!! ive already said that, that i got it wrong with regards to DUCATI not using pnuematics, As for other factories in the motogp paddoc others have or still are using pnuematics.

  • @ibanezuv7 Cool. Other GP bikes are using air operated valves? I know some of the F1 cars dabbled in them, but bikes....hmm..uh..ok.

  • @ibanezuv7 the valves are controlled by a "lever", instead of a spring, and that's the only reason why ducati's are able to have a high rpm without valvefloatation. If you think logically, pneumatic valves will also lead to floatation in high rpm.

Also ducati's are a V engine, while most japanese engines are 4 in line, so that's also a big difference for sound.

  • @Sandor159 Not a "V" ducati uses a 90degree L twin.

  • Ducati rules!!! 4ever!!!

  • Sounds great! Like my VF700 Honda, but louder, and with less of a "bite" to it, but you weren't revving it up too much. Mine gets kinda snarly around 6 grand.

    Excellent machine!

  • i.... am not... worthy!!!

  • Wow, putting the exhaust outlets up there was fancy!

  • 1500 of these beauties are being made altogether, we have number 750 in our Ducati dealership for 2 weeks until the luck owner picks it up

  • congrats guy! Hope you enjoy it. Sounds great, if i start now maybe my piggy bank will be big enough one of these days(probably when im so old ill have to have a trike). :)

  • to bad there only making 300 of em

  • ... no way

you put a race exhaust on a desmo RR?

    ... damn...

thats like putting an exhaust on a BUGATI!

  • the desmo rr has street legal exhaust but also comes with "race only" exhaust. Douschebag

  • la mitica di borgo panigale !!

    Marco - CSPT (Bologna IT)

  • Italians do it better :D compliments!

  • will we see this thing in action at knockhill :)

  • a few bikes will always stay in your memories.for me it was the first time i ever saw an rc30 in the paddock during the tt in '88.the desmo rr will fall into this category too i reckon.i watched capirossi's 06 moto gp bike going around mondello during the bsb in '07 and it sounded awesome (even though the mope driving it barely went over 10,000 rpm).hopefully the rr will sound as good.the big question is will the 1098r be as good as it?

  • did u purchase this bike?

  • bastardo! AHAHAH...Great great great bike...Go race!!!

  • Thanks for all the kind words, much appreciated.

  • see you at knockhill mate ! enjoy ,its absolutely stunning ,visually and aurally .

  • Thanks Rab - do say hello next time I'm there mate :-)

  • beautiful

  • Impresioante,,,

  • We need more videos! Once you've got it run in, we need to hear that thing at full chat! Hope you're not going to stow it away in a garage for the rest of its life.

  • dry clutch madness!!
