  • lol

  • Hey, where did you get this? I need one for my chickens.

  • patent that make some money

  • Those chooks are having so much fun. Specially the one at 0:19

  • too cool

  • The rats in my city are like cats

  • Cool I want one of those

  • Heheheh. Silly chickens. :)

  • Intelligent!

  • brilliant

  • Thats very clever.

  • im thinking that this isnt totally reliable. and also one of the chickens heads could be hurt or stuck

  • there is a posibility of them getting stuck. If one steps on the pad and one reaches over the side and the one on the pad steps off... I wouldnt trust it.

  • cool

  • sweet

  • I bet a chicken that feeds from the side gets a good surprise when the first chicken on the lever steps off! lol

  • @snx what size of rodents do you have? Geez!

  • So what happens if a hen is feeding from the side, when another is on the ramp??

    Early meal?

or is another safe way to protect your thick hens going to come on a later video?

  • cool!

  • how can it be rodent resistant? rodents step on the level pad and it opens up too.

  • @sxn10 It depends on the size of the rodent obviously mice will not open it and only large rats will be able to activate the door.

Where we live the rats are not big enough or fat enough yet.

  • @eastbournediver

If you look at my other video you can see a rat on the feeder but not opening the door.

  • @eastbournediver Will the chickens eat till all the food is gone or will they stop when full?

  • @AnimalGirl328 One chicken will feed and feed and feed till its all gone then the chicken will go drink water causing the grain suddenly swell causing the chicken to explode! 8P

  • @eastbournediver if a small group of mice get on it, it will open. sometimes mice will move in small groups, but if the group weighs enough they could lower the pad and eat until they become large mice, maybe large enough to open it individually

  • @sxn10 You have to balance the weight of the pedal to make sure only an adult chicken can open it..it's not rocket science.

  • oh man..that is some brilliant idea. do you have any for sale?

  • I love it. I saw one just like that in the book of John Seymour about self sufficiency.

Never sav it live and love the way you've done it. Wonderful to see. Hope it serves you and them for a long troublefree time ! Thumbs up!

  • what happens when a big rodent steps on the pedal?? has anyone had them get locked in?

  • what a great idea!! how long did it take the chickens to figure it out?

  • Do you sell them?

  • brilliant, where did you purchase this feeder?

Do they do large ones for x4 hens?

  • Brilliant.

Could you add soundproofing to avoid disturbing the neighbour's afternoon nap?
