the video says trompe l'oeil not restoration of same kind of whatsoever, it is amazing, someone like him could potrey imagination on this plain surfaces and turn into something that anyone would want to see and be amazed! this work is not easy, restoration is easier though.. he's talented!

mattduncan, your reply sounds like a pompous self-absorbed critic in a small world with a narrow opinion. You must be young and inexperienced. It may not be your taste, but it is somebody's taste, and it certainly is talent. We as a society are always told to think outside the box, and don't be afraid to be yourself, then when someone does, people like you criticize them. A little shallow don't you think? Well I think it's lovely and makes me feel good looking at it.

sacriledge...not appropriate...gawd how tiresome...it is a work of imagination not of restoration..if the person who owns this property is pleased with this flight of fancy..so be it..by these maxims ..a person in a suburban home from the fifties would be forbidden to redecorate..if it is not a national trust property..enjoy yourself

Very beautiful indeed by a very talented artist; however, the painting style does not match the style nor the period of the house itself, as well as being far too grandiose in its composition. This composition would have been more appropriate for a large Continental palace, one befitting a greater degree of nobility.

Correction: It was painted over a 14 year period, he sometimes was absent for several months, he wasn't there day in day out. The staircase underneath the paint was beautiful in it's own right before all this paint was slapped on. Granted what he has done is effective but sacriledge never-the-less
