The shotguns are okay but we're coming out of mw2 where the shotguns were all consistent with damage and range and just reliable. For some reason (I hope gets addresses immediately) getting 3 hit marks on a guy not facing you 4 feet from you on a 5 bar connection puts a shitty taste in my mouth.

I would know, I have golden for the Striker, Spas, AA-12 and Model. The only one that didn't infuriate me with hit markers while grinding them up 24/7 was the Striker.

i spent my entire 4th prestige using the spas-12, i got gold camo on it with extended mags and rage/damage, and my kd fucking dropped from 2.3 to 2.05 using it and even with the best setup it still sucks ass, hitmarkers for fucking days.... the way to go with shotguns in to spray and pray with the fucking striker.

It's not that they suck, it's just that they are very inconsistent and besides the Striker are complete garbage if you don't have Range/Damage and Ex. Mags.

The shotguns feel inconsistent at close range without damage/extended mags. Getting a hitmarker with a pump action is a death wish, and it seems to happen a lot more in this game than it did in previous CoDs. You get punished a lot more for not being completely dead on aim.

when you get 3 hit markers with a spas from 5 feet away, its underpowered. Once you get all your perks with specialist...dont you get range and damage anyways? try playing with a spas with foregrip and kick with no specialist streaks and see if the gun is still good. The spas, however, becomes a beast with damage and extended mags. its like playing with the spas from MW2. but before that its garbage. Ill take a naked model 1887 over the spas with grip and kick(or some other lame prof.)

The shotguns are not bad, if you have a good connection your going to be getting kills at all sorts of ranges. They are however inconsistent as shit otherwise. I can't go off Damage and Ext. Mags because I STILL get those point blank hitmarkers, and if I'm lucky enough to get a 2nd shot off, half the time THAT is a hitmarker as well. Ive also had 5 hitmarkers at range, w/ damage & Ext. Mags. I love dying to knives & snipers too btw, both of which are way better in CQB in this game. Fucked, no?

on the xbox I did a 3 hour session roughly last night and I had theater mode on about half and off about half and it made no difference for me at all I still got into some crappy lobbies but for the most part I didnt lag very much either way just try it out and see but I think they patched the theater mode to fix the lag it caused but thats just my opinion

I just found a thread where elite subscribers were checking out the K/D's of Youtube commentators. Ron was at a 3.88 while the majority of the other commentators' ratios were relatively subpar for a commentator's standard (below 2.0). To give you a sense of where other players stood; I believe TheMarkofJ was around 3.24 and xJawz was 1.95.
