I got my Jessie doll last week, she's so cute, however, I'm not keen on the plastic material on her legs. I think it would be better with the same material as her jeans or the soft yellow parts.
I have the original Jessie doll that came out after Toy Story 2. For those who are interested, there's a lot of difference between her and this one. For one thing, she's a little bigger and a little stiffer, her hair's made of plastic, and she had fewer sayings. I will admit, this one seems to be a lot nicer than mine, but I wouldn't trade my Jessie in for anything. <3
I saw the collectable Buzz the other day it was sooooo amazing to see him in the box from the movie, I felt like I was in the movie, I must get them all. Also I saw Slinky Dog.
GREAT doll/character but not up to par with my expectations...like I noted with the woody TSC edition...my opinion is the head units should be seperate from the voice box so it makes her more limp and rag doll-like like in the films...longer and slower retracking pullstring and finally...THE REAL JESSIE'S VOICE other than that, this doll is terrific and this is a flawless review thank u for going from unboxing THEN review...most dont do that =)
@lsullivancorbell you dont have to pull Jessie's or Woodys pants down to put it on play mode or try me mode...You can just find the switch with your finger tips and pull it down or pull it up..thats what I do its a hassle pulling their pants down and pulling them up lol
I think you can like turn her hands 360 so you can like make it movie accurate cause the toy story collection woody can spin his head and arms like toy story 1 Woody:We toys can see everything
I was disapointed with Jessie Woody is so much better made and considering they are in the same collection I was bummed but my son doesn't care but I doubt she will last through the years like Woody will
I know how to make her braid thinner. You can braid all of her hair then maybe put it in one big one. I dont know if that would help or make it worse......
The faces on each of the characters are from the exact digital data they use in the Toy Story films. Her face to me is dead on perfect to the Jessie in the film like my Buzz and Woody, but they also use some different facial feature looks.
Example My Woody doll has an amazing look with his smile but people complain that they should've used the plain smile. I think they used Jessies freeze face to give her sweet cowgirl smile :]
I guess they thought Woody looked more appealing with the open-mouthed smile than the blank one he has in the movie. Jessie though, I'm pretty sure freezes with the exact same expression on her face, which really pleases me. And using the digital data for the toys was a really awesome idea, because now they look so close to the film version, you half expect them to start moving on their own!
Exactly what I was thinking :] Yeah I love how they use Jessie's face when she freezes. Yeah it feels like they are the real deal cause this is the closese they've made any of these guys. And yeah to me it feels like they can come to life when Im not around; its crazy.
I've seen Bullseye's stand it's really cool from a collecting standard. Its a clear base with two holdsters to hold up Bullseye from his stomach an his chest. the base itself is a nice box shaped stand with a golden Woody's Roundup badge on the front. I cant wait to get her :]

I am so jealous of you. I own the Woody, Buzz, Army Men and Slinky Dog(who technically isn't part of the Toy Story Collection line), and I want Jessie next...it's just that they are so expensive! Probably not. He's not one of Andy's toys, nor is he in any other film besides TS2, and he's not very marketable except to collectors. I didn't see him in pics from the International Toy Fair in NY this year either, so at least for right now, I don't think they're planning on releasing him.
Right, but he's a major character in the third film and very marketable. He's a cute, pink plush teddy bear that smells like strawberries. Sadly, more people would be willing to buy Lotso' than Stinky Pete because he looks cute, even though The Prospector IS the villain in TS2. =/
@muzakrocks from what I read on threads they announced in plans for Zurg and Stinky Pete..and there's a petition being formed from pixar thread sites going to Thinkway toys saying they want wave 3 and listing 5 characters for them to produce or conscider to produce...
Just be careful not to touch her with your fingers until after the movie, AFTER you've wiped the popcorn off your hands with a napkin! It'd be very easy to get butter stains on her white shirt, so I'd have stick out of my purse and leave her be for the length of the movie.
Oh my gosh! A Jessie toy that's actually pretty and doesn't look like she's on drugs! That's enough for ME to buy her. Good review. I totally want one!
Haha, yeah, it is a real blessing that they've released an accurate version of Jessie that doesn't look like she's going to kill you in your sleep. Not only that, she's a really fun toy. :)
As for the battery compartment, Jessie's is much easier to get to than Woody's. His is a REAL pain! You have to get the others though, because it's great how they interact! Can't wait for Bullseye! And at the Disney Store, they have a real Hamm, with real cork and all. Highly recommended since supposedly Thinkway canceled their plans to make Hamm. One I am holding out on is Lotso though. Maybe I'll get him SOMEDAY, but not in a rush for him.
I do plan on getting the others, and seeing all the cool stuff they do on youtube has gotten me really excited to do so. I would love to get a Hamm with a real cork, but unfortunately , my Disney store was closed so I guess I'll have to order online.

@KatsPeanut Well I seen Mr.Potatoe Head on ebay and amazon for $100 ebay was a starting bid, you can still get him at target and TRU for $40, to be honest I dont think there going to go down in price anytime soon, And I think they might not make more of wave 1 and 2 (who Knows) If you really want the whole collection or particular characters I honestly would get them a.s.a.p especially before the TS3 movie comes out and all the lil kids want the cool expensive figures..
I suppose you have a point. Unfortunately I do not have a paying job (still looking, not very confident) so it's hard for me to justify spending all that money right now. I was lucky enough to get Jessie as a special treat from my mother, but she has said that due to the price she can't buy me the other toys. As soon as I can find a source of income though, I'll do as you suggest and get Buzz and Woody.
@KatsPeanut Yes I hear you on that , Times are tough well hopefully things work out for you and you'll be able to get the whole collection.. Im just glad the collection isnt frequent and wave 3 wont be out till next year pleanty of time for saving up.. but still aweasome video, I have jessie and I never opened her up or the others I dont want to scuff them haha so it was good to see what she looked like out of the box etc.. @KatsPeanut The Ken Barbie set is kinda worth getting anyway if you like the characters, though just not super accurate. Anyway, yeah, I know what you mean; I got RC off Ebay for somewhat cheaper than I would have had to pay in stores. In my area though, you can't find anything good when you wait for clearances. The collectible items are the first things to go. I think people around here are big on reselling stuff...
Got mine recently too, and yeah, the Woody stand did leave marks on my Woody's neck, but I think Jessie's is not as tight. At least mine. Not thrilled about the difference in her braid, but over all, I really love this one. One of the best of this line. Buzz is probably their best so far, though mine has some annoying production flaws (black flecks molded into the plastic of his helmet).
Did you keep all the twistie ties and such for your Buzz? You could always return him and get another one without the marks on the helmet. If you ordered him online, I've heard that you can call Thinkaway Toys and they'll send you a new one.
Of course, some of these toys are enhanced, like the Buzz Lightyear I got. He has voice-command features and new sounds. A couple old bytes missing though.
your jessie has the same arm problem thing as mine! the left arm's white ruffle things face the inside when they should be facing the other way :( i tried twisting mine the other way but it still doesn't look as nice as her right arm!
Yeah, I noticed that shortly after I did the review. Still, at least she doesn't look horrifying like some of the older Jessie dolls that were on the market.

@KatsPeanut Well I seen Mr.Potatoe Head on ebay and amazon for $100 ebay was a starting bid, you can still get him at target and TRU for $40, to be honest I dont think there going to go down in price anytime soon, And I think they might not make more of wave 1 and 2 (who Knows) If you really want the whole collection or particular characters I honestly would get them a.s.a.p especially before the TS3 movie comes out and all the lil kids want the cool expensive figures..

I suppose you have a point. Unfortunately I do not have a paying job (still looking, not very confident) so it's hard for me to justify spending all that money right now. I was lucky enough to get Jessie as a special treat from my mother, but she has said that due to the price she can't buy me the other toys. As soon as I can find a source of income though, I'll do as you suggest and get Buzz and Woody.

@KatsPeanut Yes I hear you on that , Times are tough well hopefully things work out for you and you'll be able to get the whole collection.. Im just glad the collection isnt frequent and wave 3 wont be out till next year pleanty of time for saving up.. but still aweasome video, I have jessie and I never opened her up or the others I dont want to scuff them haha so it was good to see what she looked like out of the box etc.. @KatsPeanut The Ken Barbie set is kinda worth getting anyway if you like the characters, though just not super accurate. Anyway, yeah, I know what you mean; I got RC off Ebay for somewhat cheaper than I would have had to pay in stores. In my area though, you can't find anything good when you wait for clearances. The collectible items are the first things to go. I think people around here are big on reselling stuff...

Got mine recently too, and yeah, the Woody stand did leave marks on my Woody's neck, but I think Jessie's is not as tight. At least mine. Not thrilled about the difference in her braid, but over all, I really love this one. One of the best of this line. Buzz is probably their best so far, though mine has some annoying production flaws (black flecks molded into the plastic of his helmet).

Did you keep all the twistie ties and such for your Buzz? You could always return him and get another one without the marks on the helmet. If you ordered him online, I've heard that you can call Thinkaway Toys and they'll send you a new one.

Of course, some of these toys are enhanced, like the Buzz Lightyear I got. He has voice-command features and new sounds. A couple old bytes missing though.

your jessie has the same arm problem thing as mine! the left arm's white ruffle things face the inside when they should be facing the other way :( i tried twisting mine the other way but it still doesn't look as nice as her right arm!
