Actually this is the very first piece played by him that I liked. It's usually walking bass bluesy funkie plumkie. Not being disrespectful but this is the kind of music professional Hammond players should play more.
This song is "Maybe September", written by Percy Faith, Ray Evans and Jay Livingston. Played by Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery you can find it on Verve's Further Adventures of Jimmy and Wes from 1966.
Do the new Hammond organs ( which if any) have 9 contacts on each key? I have always been a lover of the transistor tones of Vox, Farfisa, and Thomas organs, but I also really dig the Hammond Chord organ sound- it's got a really nice woodwind tone that with percussion it literally sounds like a bass clarinet resonating the wood with an intense attack. So for all of the folks that don't know, Laurens Hammond didn't make anything that was junk during his life with his company.
@spatzk Well that doesent mean that the Organplayer is Bad.He is one of the Top B3 Players in Sweden.Listen to something more with him before you jump to any conclusions!
@siolaaduob You dont seem to recognise me. I happen to be one of the foremost prominent organists of the century and I taught this guy. That is why I'm so dismayed with his playing. I taught him better than that! By the way, do you play a casio electone from currys?
Correction: the tune is actually called "Maybe September" from one of the albums Jimmy Smith did with Wes Montgomery. A haunting tune, very nicely done.
Don't know. I never really checked them out. I have a Hammond A100, a Leslie 122 and a Nord Electro 2 73 for gigs without the A100, so haven't really looked into it.
Sweet right hand runs half way through.

@spatzk Yes, it is boring. You cannot find your favorite bum bum bum bum here. Please, go some stores lower, where you with your IQ belong.

It is not Round Midnight. It's Jimmy Smith's version of "I'll Close My Eyes" from his record Organ Grinders Swing.
Nice playing. The XK3c sounds great. Good to see someone on YouTube using the pedals. Keep it up!

It's "'Round Midnight". It's a Thelonious Monk composition. Amazing ballad. Never heard in on organ though. Good job...
