in the beggining of the video it's explained that the record section should be in the 'aux' state.however, during the video, he is constantly in the 'cue' state...???

@iljahnicky If your input is coming into channel D, cue deck D, then select cue in your loop recorder.

Why doesn't this thing have XLR in's for the mic input and XLR PA output??? So much noise from unbalanced lines. I hope they fix that in the next edition of the controller.

under the input routing--->input aux--->L-mono i dont get those options, i only get sigmaTEL audio L and R

To make everything very simple i suggest some one comes up with a program that does both producing and dj/mixing so you dont have to use both on different times, unless you got the cash to mix em both together in a set..

or am I wrong?

@jsemdevka he had an external unit between the mic and S4. at one point there is an external loop running in through the mic as well but its difficult to notice

@iScratchMixes Very ease, when in Traktor 2 (or S4), click the that button in the right corner to open up the Preferences. Select Controller Management. Now select your LPD8 from the drop-down. Click Add In.. -Not Add ;).

Sample Deck -> Copy From Loop Recorder. Now press learn and tap your button. You might want to create some modifiers to check if the slot is already full and stuff, but that wasn't your question ;)

Nothing he did with the S4 cant be done with another, properly mapped controller.

All features on the S4 can be mapped so you could do exactly the same with any controller. If your mapping is good enough
