  • Ps. I know those of you who want to accure loans are probably aware, there is a debt to be paid. I think loans are something worth looking into as far as your future is concerned. I've seen people establishing loans for like chef school and there is no way the loan in this lifetime can be paid unless the person becomes a "Wolfgang Puck".

  • Okay President Obama, great news. I guess I'm the one person supporting the effort in the field. But I'm still feeling the stick of the knife from those enjoying welfare and WIC. It really chaps my hide that I couldn't have more children becaue I simply realize I COULDN'T AFFORD THEM. word TO THOSE WHO I AM SUPPORTTING. YOU'VE TAKEN MY SON'S COLLEGE FUND.

  • @novsev

No Sir...MR President will take care of you..as long as your poor....He want your son to goto college...but he wants you to get a loan from our "Wonderful" banks...and will the kid next to him in class gets everything paid for,,,your child will have to get a job while in school.....sounds fair-doesn't it?...We may even need to give the poor kids a debit card for expenses...it wouldn't be fair it They had to work...would it?

  • Thanks 4 the comment. My son@ 24, is beyond the tax credit. I agree with you, people who are poor deserve the same chance in life to get what they want, but in reality, it's the middle class like me who pays the price. My son has a job and works w/ school. It's a shame that I work as hard as I do. He's got NOTHING! No help for school! No help for HEALTH! No help for ANYTHING! And the bottom line is, he'll be overlooked in the competitive market at graduation due to those who had LOANS.

  • I pay more than the peole who come to me to buy my groceries for no money at all. I'm angry because these people drive better cars and wear jewelry better than my peers and I will ever know in our lifetime working like dogs. Sorry, but I'm so angry that people come to our country and treat us like dogs and expect our money to support their laxzy lives.

  • I hate these financially illiterate bozos like Obama and Summers and Geithner. That's right, bitches! WE're talking about you, Barack, Larry and Timmayy!! You are thieves. Bankster patsies. Get some real men in the WH like Chris Whalen. ARRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • what a shit-head blaming bush what a pussy

  • After hearing Obama and then seeing what he does, I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

Only 9% of the 'stimulus' has been spent--so it really didn't affect the economy. Obama needs to stop spending the rest. He's already tripled last year's record deficit.... TRIPLE.

Stop the waste and idiotic policies of this administration.

  • Bush Tax Cuts are about to EXPIRE!

We are ALL going to have a tax hike and now Ogodfathers mob thugs are out preparing the MIDDLE CLASS for TAX HIKES!

OMG - didn't Ogodfather campaign we would see NO TAXES???

    Wow -- HE LIED!

Words -- just words equal TOTAL LIES!

    Socialist at his best!

  • The vile hatred that a minority of Americans spew demonstrates the real harm that hatemongers on the radio and elsewhere are doing to less intelligent voters.

  • Good news is going to be rare from now on with the POTUS (Pinheaded Orangutan Terrorisit Undermining Security) lying more and more each day, continuing to blame the past administration after he tripled the previous deficit and doing NOTHING but what Bush did militarily except to destroy the accomplishments. He is SATAN's representative in charge of destroying peace and security worldwide and deserves to be ABORTED from his current office..ABORTED as in REMOVED!!! NOW before he does MORE damage!!

  • Not my problem, dont live in the US. But your comments on the matter are, in the best of cases enlightening, in the worst of cases just ridiculous and sad.

  • i hate all you stupid liberal fucks

  • Are U a communist too??? What a sad person you are.......people like you turn into hitlers

  • hottie

  • You never knew about forging? Fire that makes steel? Are you that stupid?

  • Well yes she was.

  • How did the hijackers get out of those planes? You are a nutter. I saw no parachute.

  • Ye right. I hate Catholics and Irish too. I do not hate anyone. So last week a tourist got shot. Very sad. Sucks to be them. A German was shot in the USA testerday. Sucks to be him or her too. Get over it.

  • Iran nut job want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. What do you not see? When is Israel killing Americans? You're a nut. You hate Jews.

  • President Obama: Good News for Taxpayers....

The good news is that you all will not have jobs soon & the country is out of money....

    Stupid clown.

  • There you go. I knew you had the truth in you. And I don't mean what you say but what you feel.

  • capitalism. Leading proponents of this strict form of capitalism include Hazlitt, Hayek, Friedman, Ron Paul as well as the famed Ludwig Von Mises (see Ludwig Von Mises Institute).

It has not been lost on me at the time of this writing that history has to a certain extent repeated itself. Although slowed from that seen in the Soviet Union, we have steadily progressed from failed Socialist (progressive) policies to what is fast becoming Marxist\Leninist Communism.

  • Libertarianism

Modern day equivalents are Libertarianism and the Austrian School of Economics (see Ludwig Von Mises Institute). Libertarianism is in fact merely a strong belief in the original intent of the founding fathers. The bastardization of true capitalism by followers of Keynesian economic capitalism made necessary the distinction of Libertarianism as a belief in the Austrian School of Economics version of

  • The founding fathers understood that there is no such thing as an economic free lunch and that anything that benefited one select group by necessity harms another and society as a whole. We are not free so long as every man is not free to enjoy equal protection under the law. This was later extended by inference in anti-trust law by the Supreme Court (SCOTUS). All government actions deemed to benefit only a few were restricted as it was considered unnecessary and destructive to the

  • inalienable rights of mankind and therefore the good of society as a whole.

  • benefit of another. All Constitutional powers separated among and given to the government triad are solely for the benefit of the whole citizenry. Examples of this are the funding of the government itself, Army\Navy, judicial system, penal system, foreign trade negotiations, monetary system, transportation system, etc. In every case these special functions are solely for the good of the WHOLE.

  • trade is fostered, all benefit. In every transaction, both participants believe they have profited. Otherwise, no agreement will be met. A functioning price system is essential and stems naturally from capitalist free trade.

The founding fathers attempted to establish a government with a central role in protecting free markets. There is not ONE instance in the original Constitution whereby one group is taxed for the

  • Capitalism

Capitalism is perhaps the most natural form of economics in existence. It has been practiced in the markets throughout the world for millennium. It stems naturally from the belief in the free trade of the fruits of ones labor in exchange for the fruits of anothers labor. No system devised by man has ever resulted in a more compelling incentive to produce wealth than by rewarding the producers of that wealth. The desire to better ones standard of living is universal & when free

  • Fundamental to this system of government is the Natural Property Rights of the individual and the right to freely enter into trades and agreements (with their property and labor) without undue interference from the government (capitalism). Equal taxation with equal representation was a fundamental principle contained in the Constitution. This is today as it was then a belief in Free Capitalism as promoted by John Locke and described by Adam Smith in The Origins of the Wealth of Nations.

  • Constitutional Republic and to my knowledge is as far to the other end of the Freedom Political Spectrum (short of anarchy) that has ever been devised.

A Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. ---- Benjamin Franklin following the signing of the Constitution

  • majority representative vote. Any law, no matter how large the majority vote, that impedes upon the rights of the individual (spelled out in the Constitution) is null and void. They further divided the powers of that Republic (in the Constitution) such that no one governing body had the ability to override the will of the other two governing bodies (a trilateral separation of power). This became known as a

  • system where the representatives would be selected by the citizenry they represent through a democratic majority vote at various interims in time.

However, the intense distrust of government compelled them to go one step further. They believed that all power corrupts and that eventually the majority would victimize the God given rights of the minority. They therefore established a Constitution (controlled by the people) that overrides ANY

  • Republic

A Republic is in many ways similar to a Democracy in that majority does rule. However, to circumvent the problems of having everyone vote on every issue, government officials are chosen to represent the voting concerns of various sections of the citizenry. In the case of the US our founding fathers deemed this the best alternative to any form of government they could devise. They decided on a Republican

  • debated). Years of tyranny fostered a distrust of all forms of government & it was deemed (correctly so in my opinion) that the majority would victimize the rights of the minority. Logistical problems with carrying out a true form of Democracy made its implementation difficult if not impossible. It was seen as highly impractical to have a nationwide vote for every issue the government might need to consider in a time when mobility was restricted to the horse & communication was likewise limited.

  • tyranny to differing degrees and they also differ in their practice somewhat.

    Democracy

In contrast, Democracy lies closer to the other end of the Freedom Political Spectrum. Democracy is a system whereby the desires of the majority outweigh the desires of a minority. Distribution of wealth and power are determined by majority rule. Contrary to popular belief, the founding fathers of the US most certainly did NOT believe that democracy was the preferred form of government (although it was

  • intent. In an Oligarchy, your privilege is derived through your wealth itself. The more wealth you possess, the more rights and privileges you are granted. Globalism (one world currency or global control of markets) is a bastardization of this form of government. In a Fundamentalist society, your privilege is derived from your standing in the central religion. All must conform to the religious teachings of the religious elite as this is also the intent of God. Each of these result in centralized

  • Globalism is often equivicated as New World Order.

  • Monarchies Oligarchies and Fundamentalism

I wont go into a lot of detail here, but essentially these systems of government essentially stem from a belief that the benefit of a single ruling class is the overriding concern for government. In the case of a Monarchy, ones social importance is derived from birth by God. The closer you are by birth to the central ruling class determines your privilege in society. Being born to a privileged family was Gods

  • In practice, this really can only be deemed the other end of the political spectrum if you consider the distribution of wealth as the determining factor. In reality, Fascism, Socialism, Communism, Sinoism, and Progressivism fall to the same end of a political spectrum if the spectrum is based on individual freedom and property rights. All of the aforementioned economic systems by necessity evolve into a strong central government usurping freedom and property from the individual.

  • In fascist Germany, all of the mentally retarded, handicapped, social deviants (thieves, criminals, gypsies), sexual deviants (homosexuals-they dont reproduce for the good of the country) were rounded up and exterminated. What remained would be a superior race that would benefit the society through social cleansing. Eventually Jews too were identified as undesirables and inferior citizens (wealthy) and they too were interned and executed, distributing their wealth to the masses.

  • Many have recognized some of these fascist policies in the Religious-right sections of the Republican party. GOP.

  • benefit of the society is more important than benefits to the individual. Individuals are expected to contribute more to society than they take and in so doing, society benefits the individual indirectly. So called undesirables are sacrificed for the good of the whole. Undesirables are identified by the ruling authority and are either exterminated or forced to work in excess of their consumption. The property of these undesirables is confiscated for the good of the whole.

  • inroads towards socialism. Social-progressivism grew like a cancer on a capitalist backbone.

When I set about my lifes work in government, my goal was to see to it that the haves were forced to give to the have-nots until the two were indistinguishable ---- Dick Gephardt.

    But they arent Socialist!!! Lol.

    Fascism

What many would deem the other end of the political spectrum is fascism. Fascism is a belief that the

  • liberal began to take on a derogatory meaning, & in its wake they attempted to coin the term progressive. But progressivism is really just a wolf in sheeps clothing & amounts to little more than an accounting trick to arrive at the same destination. In the West, the term progressive is currently more appealing (until they dress the wolf in different clothing). By gradually increasing the tax rate on income above the average (the wealthy) & giving it to the poor they were able to make steady

  • and redistribute it to those earning LESS than the average through various social programs. This class warfare was appealing to liberal-socialists in hiding (they sometimes prefer just the term liberal).

It isnt socialism, I just want to spread the wealth around ---- Barak Obama

This was a convincing ruse to many liberals unable to identify the deception. Eventually, even the term

  • Progressivism

The historic failures of Marxism and the long drawn out Cold War (with its threats to civil liberties) were so pronounced that in the West the term Socialist took on a derogatory meaning. In its place, liberal-socialists set about to instigate socialist policies in a back-door fashion. Rather than taxing 100% of the wealth and redistributing it equally, they would merely heavily tax all wealth above the average income

  • taken since they never got to see these jobs return. GW Bush continued this policy, perhaps out of necessity due to the War on Terror and Iraq War. Suicidal monetary policies in China were used to finance government deficits and maintain a sense of success in the US. After two decades of this monetary policy (mess), is it any wonder that American voters have trouble looking back and discerning who is to blame?

  • In this manner, Congress could fund their socialism now with money borrowed from China and essentially usurp the future gains that the American worker might otherwise expect, theoretically balancing the budget in the process (Clinton). This could of course assist them in maintaining control. Votes could be purchased with social programs using the future windfalls that these future American workers would otherwise have seen. These future Americans essentially dont even realize what was

  • foreign goods. This will result in a spike in inflation while at the same time result in a drop in unemployment as companies scramble back to the Western nations to set up production there. However, not to be left out of a good thing, the US government established trade agreements with China whereby the US agreed to maintain the money supply by selling Treasury bonds to China at low interest in exchange for these $.

  • collapse economically as the cost of their goods skyrockets and they find themselves holding worthless dollars. They are essentially taking a loss on their goods now to build up their production strength to be paid for later when the currency correction occurs.

When this eventuality occurs, the normal result in the US would be a sudden increase in the cost of

  • currency that is overvalued or collapse. This amounts to a tremendous gift to American consumers and Americans are wise to continue these transactions.

Eventually the $ hoarded by China must be used. If they dont use them eventually what good are they at all to China? This will result in a sudden correction of the dollar on the currency exchange market (likely an overcorrection----wise investors will short the $ at the onset). When it does, China will

  • This is not to say that this is a bad thing for the US (unless you work in manufacturing). China is essentially taking in dollars for much more than they are worth in exchange for goods that have REAL value to our consumers. Eventually these foreign consumers run out of currency (& jobs) unless & until these $ are brought back into circulation or more are printed (money supply increased). If the money supply is increased, it will devastate China as they must continue to trade goods of value for

  • This is a great bargain for foreign consumers, since they get low cost or high quality goods for less money, but it has had the effect of decreasing employment in the Western nations. Chinese made goods are able to unfairly out-compete Western producers (temporarily). The onset of Sinoism has resulted in the absolute destruction of manufacturing and other industries in the West.

  • trade imbalance. Since these dollars do not go back out onto the exchange, the dollar maintains its exchange rate with the Yuan ($ become scarce). Americans\Europeans can continue to buy Chinese goods for cheaper than it really costs to produce them. Since foreign consumer goods are kept out of their markets, their workers are oblivious to the fact that they are purchasing with what would normally be a more valuable currency.

  • The currency exchanges essentially provide a means of establishing the value of various currencies. If 1 nation begins to export heavily (produce more goods per unit of currency) then the value of their currency normally rises. This has the effect of making their goods more expensive for holders of other currency to buy. This in turn normally results in a return to an equalization of trade.

China artificially fixes the price of their currency by hoarding the currency ($ mainly) generated by the

  • Therefore, credit might rightly be given to Japan for inventing this unusual form of economic Hari-Kari. Japan however was saved some of these hardships when China took over the baton and kept the value of Japans reserve dollars high. I am sure most Japanese are willing to overlook the misnomer and pass credit to China.

  • But China has augmented this new system by controlling the monetary system. Consumer goods from outside these free trade zones are heavily restricted & by controlling the value of the currency (currency exchange markets) the state has been able to give their workers the appearance of wealth and thus incentivize them. This really is just a continuation of the method employed by Japan in the later half of the twentieth century that resulted in the collapse & long recovery of the Japanese economy.

  • where capitalism and ownership of property is legal. Taxes are lower in these zones and there are no tariffs of any kind. With 1.4 Billion Chinese starving for any improvement in their standard of living (and willing to work for what amounts to 50 cents an hour), these free trade zones have resulted in an amazing revitalization of the Chinese economy.

  • Marxist\Leninism came to an end (or so we thought) with the collapse of the United Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR or CCCP in Russian). Only China, North Korea, and Cuba continued on this path.

    Sinoism

Hot on their heels, China began to reform to an odd form of Marxist\Leninist\Capitalism that is quite difficult to understand and break into its constituent parts. China has established Free Trade Zones

  • capitalism grew. As disparity and discontent grew, the government began to ease the point of the gun. There is only so much you can make someone do at the point of a gun. You cant continue to hold a gun on someone indefinitely. Sooner or later when you turn your back production suffers and society has less to spread around. This can be described as a sort of silent revolution where protest was evident through a gradual erosion of production. In 1989 the experiment with socialism and

  • policy of central planning at the point of a gun. Through a series of purges following by 5 year plans and more purges, millions were slaughtered and imprisoned in slave labor camps. Russia essentially became a police state whereby workers were forced to work or face punishment if quotas werent met. This continued for 40 more years under various regimes. The ability of the government to effectively provide goods and services gradually began to erode and disparity between Marxist\Leninism and

  • problems became apparent due to the lack of an effective price system. By controlling the price of labor and goods, it was unclear whether goods and labor were being used in the most effective manner for society as a whole. If the cost of wheat is artificially set, the cost\price of bread is equally unclear. Needs for goods and services failed to meet expectations and year after year the wealth of the average individual began to fall. After Lenins death, Stalin saw it necessary to instigate a

  • i like pie

  • steel mills, the companies, etc). Through central planning, the state would decide what would be produced and would set the prices of goods and services (labor). Lenin proclaimed that the state need only control the commanding heights of the economy. He was heavily criticized by the Socialists and was accused of selling out the high ideals of Marxism.

Things got slightly better (some say because there were fewer Russians to feed). But within a few years

  • Millions of peasants died of starvation or froze to death.

    Communism

Lenin recognized the failures of socialism to incentivize the worker. In an attempt to save the revolution from collapse, Lenin augmented Marxist socialism. Lenin devised a form of socialism that we know today as communism (Marxist-Leninism). Lenin announced a different form of socialism where the state would control the means of production. The state would own the means of production (the land, the

  • The earliest stages of the Bolshevik revolution were the closest example to a 100% Marxist socialist state. Within a very short time the shortcomings of Marxist socialism became apparent. With no incentives to produce, shortages were everywhere, prices were skyrocketing, and Russia was starving. Attempts at giving out ration cards (rationing) also failed and riots began to break out. The revolution was nearing collapse. All attempts at incentivizing the workers failed & the shortages got worse.

  • Socialism is also quite appealing to those ignorant to its history, or those that dont take the time to fully understand the implications of such a system. It has been especially appealing to the liberal mindset that bases its ideology on emotions or a sense of fairness rather than logic and an understanding of the true nature of humans, how they function in society, and the origins of The Wealth of Nations (Adam Smith).

  • In practice, those in control invariably get the lions share, depending on the level of control they exert.

This can be quite appealing, especially to a polarized society of have & have nots such as early 20th century Russia. It professes equality for all, since everyone shares in the wealth regardless of who worked to create that wealth. It still has appeal in many societies among emotionally minded individuals who point out inequities in wealth without recognizing inequities of production.

  • Now as for your definition of socialism:

    Socialism

Socialism is where the public (government) has the right to 100% of the fruits of your labor, to be split equally among everyone in the public. A 100% tax rate where the government handed out an equal salary for each of us to get an equal share would be a 100% Marxist socialist state. Lenin stated, From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.

  • ZndProphet, you are really splitting hairs about the AMOUNT of socialism. It is obvious that there are few examples of 100% socialism, capitalism, etc. But socialism is more about the ideology. People who strive TOWARDS socialist policies are professing socialism and are in fact socialists. Some are of course more socialist than others.

  • the other guys are trying not to look at the teleprompters...ha ha ha

  • I know you are a racist / anti-semite cunt, pissed off because Americans are discovering (too late?) that obama is nothing but a lying, chicago, THUG, and a 2-faced sonofabitch who is trying to "goddamamerica" as fast as he can ...AND he is getting his blow jobs from the same dumbass, interns clinton did...AND the arabs don't want a 2 state solution - they want Israel pushed into the sea, but that will never happen !

  • Please support HR 1207, The Federal Transparency Act! Our congressmen have the right and responsibility to Audit the federal reserve, like anyone else! It is our USA dollar, our representatives have the right to know! Please contact your local legislator about HR 1207!!! Congress rigorously debates millions of dollars in the senate, yet Bernanke an unelected official puts billions of US dollars at risk, and our own CONGRESSMEN can't even know how the money is spent! We need TRANSPARENCY!!!!

  • That is because everyone wants to kill them. Name one neighbor that Israel has attacked the was not in deffence.

  • Keep on drinkin' barry's kool aid and soon you'll be as impressed with yourself as obama is with himself - you "sheeple" who voted for this "affirmitive action" prez are self-destructive fools...the problem is, your self-destructive actions effect all Americans

  • Isreal has been threatened by Iran. Iran wants them off the face of the earth. Israel has threatened no one. I should have said Israel will not hit N. Korea. There are many countries that can point nuclear missles at others. We need to worry about the nuts first.

  • kinda cool watching a black man being president...

    its like watching a movie..

  • My point was:

China is now the world's largest producer of gold. If they put all their annual production on the world market I believe it'd drive the price down to about $200 per oz & they don't wanna do that.

I believe they're also now the world's largest exporter of gold jewelry, but they don't wanna see gold go over $1000 as that'll put many craftsmen out of work as sales will sharply go down as ppl switch to silver, etc.

They are happy with it as it is.

  • I don't think gold prices are being "suppressed" by J. P.Morgan.

I think they're being controlled to a large extent by China.

China is now the world's largest producer of gold even thou they still use primitive methods (production should really go up if they can get US technology).

China is an exporter of gold, but they prefer to do that in the form of gold jewelry.

Unfortunately the demand for gold jewelry is down now, so China doesn't wanna see prices increase any more'n they have.

  • Who is Larry Sinclair?

  • Why lie and claim to be American?

  • The goverment can not give any thing to anyone without taking it from someone else.

Russia is now selling its usa bonds (dept)

    China doesnt want them.

USA cant increase the interest rates like the 80s to atttract buyers of the bonds, as the national dept is 11 trillion, it would be to expensive to pay higher interest on that dept.

    Print is the only option.

The dollar will fail. USA is borrowing to pay the interest on the previous depts.

Gold price is being suppressed by jp morgan.

  • Please, give me a Republican president without the christian right's dick in their mouth and fiscal discipline in 2012!

  • Ever thought of Libertarian eightbitgnosis?

  • you need help all imigrants live together family pay income tax , to have a right to driver license, for work, your protector for family in the debate politic you promise help family

  • LOL, It is amazing to me that adults are ignorant to to believe this crap.

  • Paygo will not work unless Obama (who increased Bush's budget eight-fold) a) raises taxes on everyone that works and b) prints more money (thus devaluing the dollar and causing 70s style inflation). The Chinese are finished lending money to us (they actually laughed at Geithner) and will start buying gold instead of US Treasuries.

All so the Dems can claim a balanced budget in the next election. What good is a balanced budget if your 2009 dollars are worth $0.85 in 2010 and $0.50 in 2012?

  • What he is NOT telling you is that the banks had to BEG to pay the money back.

Obama wants to keep the money so that he can continue to control them.

    Sad, pathetic socialist.

  • Aren't you glad our "affirmative action" prez went to Cairo to sooth muslim feelings, they love us again! muslims in Pakistan showed their thanks for obama's speech by bombing a fancy hotel in Peshawar. Liberals think moslems respect weakness - in the speech obama listed isiam's contributions to mankind, like algebra (actually it was the Babylonians), the compass (Chinese), pens (Chinese again) medical discoveries (huh?). We're represented by an IDIOT worse than Bush ever was! Thanks sheeeple

Stop whining and moanin' and "do something participate in something.

  • He was part of the CAUSE as well. Mind you not as much since he has ZERO experience and therefore wasn't in Congress as long. But certainly his IDEOLOGY is what caused this. It is NOT a fix. Wake up. This is participating in a fix.

  • The federal goverment is like a disease extending its tentacles into every sector of our job industry.

  • At the moment, the American economy is like a patient in an intensive care unit.

    Stop slapping the doctors.

  • Doctor? Are you kidding me? 15 Trillion$ deficit is going to fix it? Get a clue. What happened to that "scalpel" he talked about during the campaign? You cannot cure inflation with more (much much more) inflation.

  • I expect this will be followed by a call for a worldwide single currency. This will only serve to increase the power of those who own the fed (not even Congress is allowed to know who own it, or to even audit their books). This may even be why the Federal Reserve CAUSED this whole fiasco. This single currency has already been sold to a naive Europe with horrid consequences to European liberty. It is exactly the wrong path to take, but mark my words it is coming.

  • dperreaultyahoo,

    Triple-digit inflation is a fantasy.

Double-digit unemployment in some states is all too real. It's here.

It represents an economy that has failed.

Let's join the President in working to fix it.

  • That is in fact my goal here. Support him 100%. But this isn't a fix. It makes it worse. And it isn't a fantasy. I have seen it happen. What makes us special?

  • The inflation will actually be much worse not less for those that think inflation on this scale isn't possible. This is because much of our currency has been held by the Chinese. They will dump them as they begin to realize they are becoming worthless. Other reserves from GB, France etc are also heavy in dollars. This will compound the inflation even more. Expect hyper-inflation on a scale you couldn't even imagine. High price to pay for what would likely have been a short recession.

  • Now that my 2 cents are out there, they have already stated that they are going to use mainly option 4. Therefore, you are GAURANTEED that we are going to see inflation rates at least as high as 800% (I give gov 0 prod credit) if history is any judge. Let this be a warning to you Kool-Aid drinking Obama worshipers that think he is gonna solve all your problems for nothing. Prepare yourself for the inflation and save your family as much hardship as you can. Preparation is often the key.

  • care system. That has NEVER been the history of gov not-for-profit agencies. Anyone that believes a government not-for-profit agency increases efficiency just isnt being genuine (or is a biased Kool-Aid drinking liberal). Profit making through increased efficiency is not even a goal of government agencies. I think we can all agree that this amounts to phantom savings designed merely to pretend to be paying as you go no matter what future savings the Congress is trying to bullshit us with.

  • Is there ANYONE that believes these government expenditures will result in ANYTHING CLOSE to an 8-fold increase in GDP? On the contrary, as we have seen above they will likely result in a DECREASE in GDP.

    5) These need hardly be argued as REAL REFORM. I think anyone with a brain realizes that combining all the Health care institutions under the same government run agency will NOT result in increased efficiency AT ALL. Let alone enough to pay for the cost of running the health

  • a calculable effect on the inflation rate. This inflation too lags the borrowing, but it is a DEFINITE result. A 15 Trillion$ increase in the money supply over the next 4 years (Obama himself has stated his estimate is 12 Trillion$) amounts to a seven-fold increase in the money supply. This will therefore amount in our future money being worth 1/7+1=1/8th of what it would otherwise be. Unless these government expenditures bring about an 800% increase in production they WILL cause inflation.

  • 4)Selling the Treasury bonds to the Federal Reserve is really just another way of saying they are going to increase the money supply. The Federal Reserve will print up 15 Trillion $ (CBO estimates) in Federal Reserve notes in exchange for the Treasury bonds. They will then charge the government the interest on these Treasury bonds even though they really didnt give the government ANYTHING but pieces of paper in exchange for them. This increase in the money supply has a VERIFIABLE and

  • would buy a Treasury Bond at X% interest knowing that inflation is likely to be over 700% in four years. That would amount to quite a sever negative yield. There isnt even a large enough money supply to buy this large an amount of bonds unless foreign currency holders of equal stupidity decide to buy them. However, the few domestic purchasers you could find would have the effect of temporarily removing money from circulation and thus would reduce current inflation in exchange for more later on.

  • are left with no outs. Anything they do will either increase unemployment, increase taxes, or increase inflation. There just is no such thing as a free lunch (unless you agree to pay for it tomorrow as well). Eventually all must be repaid and any elected official that tries to enact REAL REFORM to solve the problem will burden his CURRENT voters with one of those 3 economic maladies. But it is unlikely (impossible) for the government to sell these bonds under the current situation as only a fool

  • comensurate with the cost. The more people needed to do the same task the better. That is in fact their whole goal.

3)Selling Treasury bonds to people to pay for the program is just another form of borrowing that flies in the face of the PAYGO proponents that believe it actually balances the budget. Sure it balances this years budget (that is how Clinton did it) but what about the next guy that has to pay for it with interest and suffer the ire of a future voting populous. They

  • will often here socialist proudly proclaim, Look at the jobs we created. They are pandering to the ignorant masses unaware that they have merely exchanged productive private jobs for unproductive public jobs. Whenever you hear an elected official talk about a bill that is designed to increase the number of jobs instead of increase production watch out!!! That is exactly what you will get. Tons of people given jobs regardless of whether they produce something of value to the public

  • Employment is at best shifted from producing something the consumer would voluntarily purchase to something the government decided consumers would be better off with. In practice it tends to be worse, as efficiency is never the goal of these shifted jobs, & therefore all are hurt through a decrease in real wealth. Future unemployment has been the rule in this case. And the fact is, unemployment increases hurt the poor disproportionately in most cases. After shifting employment in this manner you

  • SEE the autoworkers or sweater makers that never got the jobs. They were never allowed to come into existence. It is easy for Liberals to point to the jobs supposedly created (you can see them), but nearly impossible for these unimaginative socialists to see the other jobs that never came to pass. It is only necessary to point out that indeed these gov jobs WERE indeed created by that same private money to realize the fallacy in their argument.

  • their incomes toward the necessities of life. Every single corporate tax WITHOUT EXCEPTION is passed onto the consumer. The consumer has no one to pass the taxes to & therefore gets the bill.

    b. If taxes are generated through increased individual taxes, they hurt the poor in a more subtle yet more severe way. When more money is taken from the public to pay for these tax programs, the public has less money to buy things that put people to work. This is much less apparent because no one ever got

  • a. When corporate taxes are raised, these taxes are ALWAYS paid for by the consumer. Take for example gasoline. Every liberal loves to attack the evil oil companies. But these oil companies must make a profit, so they merely pass this increased cost onto the consumer. This is just an indisputable fact and is even shown on their quarterly statements. These increased indirect taxes hurt the poor disproportionately because the poor pay a disproportionate share of their incomes

  • party. For instance the Republicans would try to enact tort reform since the lawyers supported the Democrats. While the Democrats would do likewise in regards to Medical Doctors and Tobacco lobbies.

    2) Raising taxes is also very unpopular with the voters, however, it is often done in the name of class warfare (Democratic Party). This is because Liberals love to spend money especially when they believe it isnt their money that is spent. They couldnt be more wrong.

  • 1) This would most likely be the best of all options. In practice, it is rarely the method chosen. The rare exception to this is cuts in Defense spending. There are limits to what can intelligently be cut from Defense spending. I wont debate what that limit is. Some would even profess zeroing out the Defense budget. The point is, even zeroing it out is as far as it can be done, & that wont be sufficient to cover the deficits. The other exception is cuts in programs supporting the opposition

  • group of non-Americans who are given exclusive right to print our money) will by necessity print hard currency to accommodate for the increase in money supply.

    5) Include provisions designed to save money through increased efficiency that often amount to unrealistic estimates as to what is truly saved.

Note that this most certainly DOES NOT mean that the budget is balanced. Lets take each of these, one-at-a-time to see why they do not result in a lower or even equal deficit.

  • The five means of coming up with the money are as follows:

    1) Cut a current expenditure out of the budget.

    2) Raise taxes to pay for the new expenditure.

    3) Sell Treasury bonds to citizens promising to pay them interest for loaning the government the funds.

    4) Sell the Treasury bonds to The Federal Reserve (lender of last resort). The Federal Reserve will then just create the money by placing a larger number on the governments balance sheet. The Federal Reserve Trust Corporation (a private

  • The difference is subtle, but it is an important distinction. There are five ways that the House can come up with the money to pay for spending bills. Read most bills already on the record and you will often discover these are already seen in current bills in different combinations. This is because some in Congress (mostly Republicans) already will refuse to vote for a bill unless it is determined where the money will come from at time of signing. So it is nothing new.

  • PAYGO is simply a rule applied to Congress requiring any spending bill (Constitution mandates the House of Representatives must create such a bill----Note you seem to be unaware that the House is in charge of gov spending not the former President you are so fond of blaming) be paid for at the time the spending bill is signed into law. It is NOT a balanced budget amendment. It merely states that spending bills must include provisions for how they are going to come up with the funds.

  • How ill informed can people be? No wonder we get what we deserve.

  • May god guide this man to succeed his goal and brings U.S. to the place where they once belong.

May God's peace be upon you, Mr. Obama

  • I have confidence that Obama will pull us out of this recession and complete almost everything he said he would do.

  • 6:05 "paying for what you spend is basic common sense... perhaps that's why, here in washington, it's been so elusive" LOL ouch

  • I like the beginning, companies paid back68 billion of TAX PAYER's money, then the next statement the GOVERNMENT made a profit........... I love politics, he ddn't even try to hide the fact tax payers wont get a penny of the "profit"..... THAT's HONESTY

  • 0:44 to 0:58 says it all

taxpayer's suffer the loss andGoernment gets the profit

  • yes wtf is with that?

  • great speech. ok i didnt hear any of it. I wonder what camera they use...

  • this honkey is full of shit! Yes, he is part honkey! worst president ever... IT'S BUSHES FAULT!

  • obama, you need to stop lieing and help the poor not the ritch. my family is really poor and we are all working really hard. but we can barly make it every month.

    please help us. please..???

  • Well, what do you expect? I am sure he is trying, but Obama is only human (which is ironic considering how many of his detractors refer to him as a god, I assume with scarcasm) and there is only so much his administration can do at any given time. In the meantime, just try to hang on and do what you can to improve your situation. You cannot depend on the federal government to fix all problems, you can only hope that the elected officials do not create new ones.

  • Open reply. I would like to continue to debate the issues at hand however, it's 12:30 eastern and I need some rest. Sooo, I will get back to your emails tomorrow. Have a good night and sleep well.

  • I just love this president .. thank god we are back and reaganites are gone. good riddance ..

  • Keep in mind that the average temperature difference between the present and the ice-age was only ten degrees. A world wide increase of two degrees is actually fairly signifigant.

  • barack nobama will go down has the greatest president ever******

  • Commonman80; I'm curious what specifically you're referring to in the Constitution?

Perhaps section 8 regarding "The Congress shall have the Power to lay and collect taxes...but all duties, imposts and excises shall be Uniform throughout the United States."?

  • 2009Max4Sense, You don't have to look that far into the Constitution the see what part of the Constitution of The United States, The President and His Administration are working from. It's on PAGE 1.
