i like when cylinder with the spring flying in my room, when i trying to put spring in gearbox. The worst part is anti-reversal, I don't knot how put this shit.

i know of the version 2 (and probably other) microswitches instead of the contacts, wondered if anyone has heard of this for a version 7? also, any brand which uses a quick change spring for the m14? AND finaly im assuming it uses a standard piston, and piston head, but what about the tappet?

What grease did you use to grease the gun? Silicon oil to every parts?

@darksektor1971 Version 7 uses it's own gear set. The spur gear is different than Version 2 or 3, but the sector and bevel gear are the same as Version 2, 3 and 6.

Is the AGM M14 the same as the G&G M14 ?

@Tehsnook No. The AGM M14 is a Tokyo Marui clone, as are the CYMA, KART, Echo 1 M14s. The only G&G clone I know if is the Classic Army M14.

@thesupahfly i did install m120 spring and it stripped the piston off its teeth . next thing the original bushings are crap . basicly they need replacing to solid metal ones.

my setup is :

G&G m120 spring

Element Spring guide with bearings

Element V2 Piston with full metal teeth (modfied)

Systema solid metal bushings

Systema Energy hop up rubber

P&J H shape Hop Up Spacer

the rest is stock

FPS 420 - 430

while the V2 is much simpler than the V7, the V7 is probably the most powerful in terms of being able to pull a strong spring without breaking(we've all heard of V2 gearboxes cracking, but whens the last time you've heard of a V7 cracking?)

I found, that the easiest way to keep the spring from launching out is to tie some thin string arround the cylinder and the side of the gearbox, secureing the spring and the cylinder from launching out (If you put in a heavier spring this gets annoying)

I disassembled and reassembled my JG MP5 and it works perfectly- would that be enough experience for the M14 and it's gearbox, considering how complicated the MP5 is also?

To the extent of my knowledge you can upgrade the piston and spring with anything on the market. I think they are all the same, just different materials. I might be wrong though so check with someone else to be sure.

@deathpunish2 The purpose of a gearbox deconstruction video is to educate the newer players on the gearbox take down. Those of us who have worked on version 2 and 3's hundreds of times shouldn't have a problem to begin with. It would be nice if they could at least explain what the fuck they are doing, not just "put the cut off lever back in place like this" and not showing the damn cut off lever. like i said, typical evike, always doing everything half-assed.

Do you think this gearbox is hard to upgrade?My first airsoft weapon is going to be a CYMA M14 and as you may or may not know it has a V7 gearbox. I might later on upgrade the spring and I was wondering if you think I would have trouble with taking the gun and gearbox apart?

yes. if you want it to work you will need a better motor, gears, bushings, piston and a bunch of other crap.

The heavier the spring, the more significant. I would assume not because AGM only put metal ones on the bevel gear because that gear spins the most. If they needed to put them on all of the gears they would have. You might just want to buy some ad add them in just in case.

Or actually just the bevel gear had metal bushings, the other two had nylon.

Yes, it refers to the gearbox. Every version has stuff positioned differently and fits differently in the gun.
