Those who accept God's gift will be saved and no longer condemned, and those who don't accept His gift are condemned. God DOES love everyone, and wants all to come to Him, but HIS way is the only way. Those who are saved will be raptured when Jesus comes back.

ok help me out here. i've really tried to find an origin of the rapture that goes back farther then the 1830's. i find nothing. i get explainations that say it used to be ancient doctrine but was written out. but i'm not able to find anything to support that. can someone direct me to it please?
@roudy1689 My youth pastor says the Bible does not specifically mention a 'rapture' but it just explains how the believers will be quickly taken up to heaven. That's probably why.
@BrownDogProductions1 i should be more clear. the rapture i do not believe in is the "secret" rapture that occurs seperate from the second coming. i believe in a second coming and being caught up, but not the secret rapture followed by the 2nd coming is the one i don't buy.

@uccomic I know I said I wouldn't say anything else, BUT I know that it is irritating you that you haven't figured out this mystery of free will and God knowing the future. God said He is the Beginning and End. It's like someone with a premonition, they see the end result of something, and each day it unravels until it reaches that point to the vision. I use to have the same questions as you, but I trusted God that all though he knows my questions, he also knows I want to make it to Heaven.

One time, a homeless man asked my hubby for some money, my hubby had no money, he gave the man our last pop bottles. The man walked away and returned in 10 minutes, with a knot full of money, he said he found it in a chip bag on the ground! He gave me and my hubby some money for being kind enough to share our last pop bottles and then he said, I know there's a God!

We mourn but God says, welcome home, your son will never have to go through the pain and hardships of this life anymore. No one can hurt him or tease him or rob him or fight him or break his heart. I can't say that I wouldn't be questioning God because I know I would, I would be severely depressed, but in time God would help me understand.

Weren't there about 360 or so prophecies fulfilled concerning Christ? I heard that the odds of this happening by chance is like unto silver coins covering the state of Texas maybe three feet deep, and a man has to decide when to jump out of an airplane blindfolded and land to find ONE gold coin.
But we must always fight against the false teachers that teach that Christ can come back any day. This heresy started about 1830 when some men decided that when a 15-year-old girls had a "vision," it was really about a pre-tribulation rapture. No early church fathers taught this heresy, and the one that they say did from the 4th century actually thought he was in the middle of Daniel's 70th week. We must all go through this time of testing, except for the one church Jesus spoke of in Revelation

Hate to break it to everyone, but Christ failed as a savior. The very existence of the 'son of god' was to create a world of peace under his name, word and love; yet after his death, some 80 million have been slaughtered in praise and service of that name and word. Yes He died, but He didn't stay dead; He rose from the dead three days later. The peace He brought is in my heart, because I accept the fact that He died and rose again to save me from Hell. And it's possible to believe in God and have common sense at the same time; believing in God is common sense.
I don't understand why God would wait until now to come back. If He was going to liberate the righteous and punish the wicked, haven't there be far more chaotic times throughout history that He could have stepped in and done so? Also, how can we see light comming from stars that are more that 6,012 light years away from Earth? If those stars were created the same time as the Earth, the light traveling from those distant stars would not have reached us yet.
If dinosaurs did exist (which i doubt), then God would've given at least 2 of them to Noah to take on the ark. [Genesis 6:19] Therefore, they both lived at the same time.
Stars/lightyears: First of all, it is currently impossible to accurately measure great distances even with parallax trigonometry, so scientists can't really know how far away nonsolar stars are from us. Secondly, God stretched out the heavens and stars after He created them. [Isaiah 44:24] So lightspeed doesn't matter. ;-)
You doubt dinosaurs existed? Why do we have the fossil remains of their bones?!? We can see them and touch them yet, you doubt they existed. Their remains exist! You must explain to me how you doubt the existance of something that exists!
oh, and don't quote old testament when explaining objects in space... Those people absolutely believed the world was flat and everything in the sky revolved around the Earth. The bible is not a valid source for explaining anything in space.
Dinosaurs may have existed, but I'm one of the few people who doubt it, because of the lack of REAL fossils. But I'm open to some proof, since there's currently no proof that they didn't exist.
And the Old Testament does well at explaining science. Isaiah 40:22 says that the world is round, 2 Samuel 22:16 says that there are channels in the oceans, Genesis 8:22 describes the rotation of Earth. These ideas weren't even invented yet! ;-)

ok help me out here. i've really tried to find an origin of the rapture that goes back farther then the 1830's. i find nothing. i get explainations that say it used to be ancient doctrine but was written out. but i'm not able to find anything to support that. can someone direct me to it please?

One time, a homeless man asked my hubby for some money, my hubby had no money, he gave the man our last pop bottles. The man walked away and returned in 10 minutes, with a knot full of money, he said he found it in a chip bag on the ground! He gave me and my hubby some money for being kind enough to share our last pop bottles and then he said, I know there's a God!

We mourn but God says, welcome home, your son will never have to go through the pain and hardships of this life anymore. No one can hurt him or tease him or rob him or fight him or break his heart. I can't say that I wouldn't be questioning God because I know I would, I would be severely depressed, but in time God would help me understand.

The very existence of the 'son of god' was to create a world of peace under his name, word and love; yet after his death, some 80 million have been slaughtered in praise and service of that name and word. Yes He died, but He didn't stay dead; He rose from the dead three days later. The peace He brought is in my heart, because I accept the fact that He died and rose again to save me from Hell. Hebrews 10:37 says that "For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not delay." Jesus DID return in Power and Glory at the close of the Old Covenant. It's time for us now, in the New Covenant, to roll up our sleeves and be the Chiefs and Priest we were commanded to be. We will NOT be beamed out of here and absolved from our responsibility to be salt and light!

Also, how can we see light comming from stars that are more that 6,012 light years away from Earth? If those stars were created the same time as the Earth, the light traveling from those distant stars would not have reached us yet.

If dinosaurs did exist (which i doubt), then God would've given at least 2 of them to Noah to take on the ark. [Genesis 6:19] Therefore, they both lived at the same time.
Stars/lightyears: First of all, it is currently impossible to accurately measure great distances even with parallax trigonometry, so scientists can't really know how far away nonsolar stars are from us. Secondly, God stretched out the heavens and stars after He created them. [Isaiah 44:24] So lightspeed doesn't matter. ;-)

oh, and don't quote old testament when explaining objects in space... Those people absolutely believed the world was flat and everything in the sky revolved around the Earth. The bible is not a valid source for explaining anything in space.

Dinosaurs may have existed, but I'm one of the few people who doubt it, because of the lack of REAL fossils. But I'm open to some proof, since there's currently no proof that they didn't exist.
And the Old Testament does well at explaining science. Isaiah 40:22 says that the world is round, 2 Samuel 22:16 says that there are channels in the oceans, Genesis 8:22 describes the rotation of Earth. These ideas weren't even invented yet! ;-)
