No way, Soul Reaver is probably the best game ever (at least for the PS/PS2), it has a perfectly crafted plot and unmatched dialogues; I mean, come on, the whole anti-hero theme and the paradox created by time traveling is amazing (I also like the Tomb Raider series though). And by the way, the painting found in the Croft Manor, which apparently should be one of Lara's relatives from the middle ages, is the same as the one on the family tomb of one of Soul Reaver's main characters, Kain's.

So? Whats your point? Same companny, same team of developers... Probably the same game engine beyond the games. Probably lots of other small things in comon, like that picture in the end... I remember in early games of both the puzzles system was simmilar, it consisted in pushing cubes arround... LOL. By the way, Soul Reaver Series is far better and original than Tomb Raider... for mainly two reasons 1- Story Line 2- Combat System ... And I think Tomb Raider is just too comercial by the way...

youre right the game uses the same engine (obviosly TRL is a upgraded one) both game series are great, the first game i had for my ps2 was soul reaver 2 and it was awesome, the graphics were kick ass, but so are TRL.. im glad crystal dynamics took over the tomb raider series...

Yeah, they are similar, but they are both third-person story-driven games and they were both made by the same development team. The cheat in Legend which gives Lara the Soul Reaver just goes to show this.
