If that were my yard I'd keep all or most of the trees standing. You can't beat the shade from mature trees, and these look healthy enough to let them stay. Regarding lower branches falling off, isn't that normal for this type of tree as it gets this old?
nah it's how the tree grew trying to get enough light because the other trees are blocking it! you're lucky you weren't there when the lightening struck though because the trees' insides tend to explode when struck by lightening! you have a pretty decent back yard though!
love the lawn ornaments but i can see your so close to your neighbors..i wouldnt like that..our closest neighbor is a block away woohooooooooooooo
