Set up and Tune up a Consumer Grade Bandsaw

sheet of newspaper on either side of the guide blocks 1/64in of in on rear thrust bearing behind blade. Liquid wrench sprayed on all the roller bearings , clean chips and sawdust off the bearings first before spraying.

What is the best lubricant to use for the bearing behind blade, and exactly where should the guide blocks be set on the blade. thank you

thank you for the information. I'm in the market currently for my first bandsaw. I've gotten a couple books on the bandsaw so I hope that when I'm done my background research, I make the right choice. Thank goodness Craigslist generally has a pretty good selection.

@tdlewis103 Hi before you buy a bandsaw. Try to imagine what you will use it for. I highly recommend Mark Duginske the bandsaw handbook from your local library >IMHO it has the best technical analysis and what to look for when buying a bandsaw I do not recommend buying used off craigslist unless you really know bandsaws otherwise you could be buying a huge load of potential problems. hi again taking about vibration i pull out the motor from the band saw ,it has lot vibration by itself,i do not known if that normal ,i also did a test ,i bolted the motor out the cabinet in separate base and i got no vibration at all this my band saw JWBS-14CS is my first band saw .some advised please

@32bala as little as you can get away with, read mark duginske bandsaw book library or amazon. It is  best book imho on setting up this useful tool. gud luck ernie
