This character was created by Mia Ikumi who named this girl Ichigo Momomiya. 4Kids just changed the name so it was better suited for Americans. I'm American so I know this, but her name is Ichigo Momomiya not Zoey Hanson. The english version isn't even correct. Go back and watch the real Japanese version. Its right. ~Nya! Mint is an english word the japanese used for the show. The characters used for it are mi, n, and to. There is no character for just t, so it became to.

Pudding is spelled "P-U-D-D-I-N-G" in the manga, but on Tokyo Mew Mew official posters for the anime is "P-U-R-I-N". I don't think it matters one way or another. @shalenaiscool Aha. ^^; Actually, in the manga, their names are Ichigo, Minto, Retasu, Purin and Zakuro. When they are in their Mew forms, however, they are Mew Strawberry, Mew Mint, Mew Lettuce, Mew Pudding and Mew Pomegranate.

The 'to' versus 't' thing has to do with how the word 'Mint' is spelled in katakana. The Japanese alphabet doesn't have a 't' sound, just a 'to' sound. So in Japanese, her name is Minto, not Mint.

Jeeeeeeeeeeze you get really upset if people don't spell Mint how it sounds don't you, dreamera? It's ok to spell it like that when your saying her name BECAUSE its supposed to be mint, the English word "mint", but beacause the people are japanese, but their accent (like shalenaiscool said) forces them to add the O to the end. Same goes for Lettuce. It's supposed to be the English word "lettuce". The accent forces them to add a U sound to the end of S's.
