The track is called "When We Get Lovin'" and is indeed written by Craig Safan. No idea who sang it though.
Another memorable (to fans anyway) yet unreleased soundtrack. There probably wasn't enough there to constitute one at the time. It could be coupled with another unreleased Safan score now though and released by Intrada, FSM or the like. Visit their sites and pop a request in the suggestion box. I've seen more obscure things released, particularly nowadays.
Custom car building,DARE to be different, you eather love it or hate it,and to the outlaw builder its KISS MY ASS.ill wrap my ass in fiberglass, CUSTOM AL MIDWEST
this car is too much. I mean literally. It is tacky as hell, even for the late 70's. I mean dont get me wrong alot of hard work and money went into that car but its just too tacky for me. That candy paint with gold flake flames is pretty impressive for the 70s though.
I Saw that car back in 1978 in Burbank before it got painted. It was blue. steering colume had a sprocket gear under the dash with a bike chain running acrose to the passenger side to another sprocket with a steering wheel. thats how they made a right hand drive car out of it. The darn thing had alot of play with that Crazy set up but it worked. Used to cruze Van nuys Blvd all the time back in 78 Fun days and a fun movie.
the hood is rediculous over the top garbage. along with the rest of the car. i watched the whole movie. i wanna know how i go about getting that time back.
I was cruising So cal at this time and stuff like this was crappy looking over the top junk even then. Where did they get those Greasy New yark/ Philadelphia accented actors with the wife beater tank top? Southern California kids weren't like that at all.
They did'nt give a crap about stupidass Southern CA kids, cause these kids are in Las Vegas. In the day, this kind of cross culture of Hot Rods and Disco was actually really fukin cool, if you understand it. Only some do, but it's not for some BMW dumbasss.
No one knows who did this song or even what the name of the song is. Since there wasn't a soundtrack released for Corvette Summer, it was probably an in-studio creation never considered for release on record.

That car definately SCREAMS 1970's. My uncle and I were cruising the night that was filmed. My uncles 1971 Dodge Charger was a lot cooler though

That 'Vette, and I use the term losely, is a late '70's Disco Abortion on wheels! The other is the movie 'Zanadu'.

The worst part of this movie was destroying the superior 2nd Gen PMD but keep the Disco Disaster vette and the hopping front end LeMans!
The Pontiac was clearly better, even after they burned it!
