im from houston, i loved van gundy's defensive schemes but i just hated his offense, he ALWAYS uses the high pick and roll with yao and tmac, never gets multiple players involved, because he relied on tmac and yao too much, his coaching years came to an end, rick adelman is a much better coach, not only does he keep the defensive mind set he adds an offensive game with brooks and scola, unfortunately tmac and yao are always injured :\
