Hey, Can you help me? I have a problem about charging my x1. when I charge it to the PC it works but in wall charger it's not. but the light charging notification is blinking. battery logo on my phone is not changing like as the logo when I plug it in on my PC. what could be the problem?

Is this the product of a bygone era or something?? Because everybody are now making finger friendly touchscreen phones (HTC, Samsung, LG, iPhone) with FLUSHED surface. And what's the deal with this non-standard 3.0" screen? SE certainly need to catch up quickly if they're going to stick around the WM arena, because trend changes in a matter of months not years like in the days when they were making the P series phones.

OMG I just saw the X1 today in the flesh :)))))))))(black and silver beside each other) in elgiganten ... I played around the panels and all i can see that this phone is not laggy at all and the phone is not bulky at all...it just feels fr8 in ur hand. I just can't believe how good this phone looked, all other phones looked SO cheap beside them. Both X1 colors looked so gr8.I'm over excited now & won't be able to sleep cause i'll be getting mine in less than 10 hrs.X1 is def. my new tiny laptop

well I think it'll come with a 4Gb/8Gb (Microsd) in Sweden. X1 should be expandable to 16Gb (for now) or 32 when it gets cheaper :)

The optional stylus doesn't get in the way and is a good thing. Why complain about the stylus? I have a SE w960i. that has the same kindo stylus and It's great. I rarely use it but there are times when I NEED to use it because fingers are to big to select what you want all the time and a stylus is better for gaming, drawing and handwriting. What a stupid thing to moan about lol.

i don't see whats you problem. a stylus is very usefull!. Even if you may not need it most of the time, it comes in very handy when you do something which needs precise controlle. like drawing, using handwriting (perfect for making notes) or using it as a remote controlle for you pc while on the go and much much more!

well when you put the price of the apple iPhone in my country for $2600 on a plan or $900 outright for the 8GB model and they say the X1 is going to be $1050 outright. the X1 seems to be better value for money

I've been a SE user for more than 10 years now so I want to have the same experience/function I had with(S700i/K800i/W880)... listen to music while writing email/surfing the net or listen to my music while checking/doing something else on another panel.

Can u mutitask on more than two panels at the same time or just one panel at a time. I've no doubt that this will be a gr8 phone and only 3 days to go (Jag bor in sverige) :)

Also, as the manual stated youre able to bind orientation switching to one of the keys. Lets say you'd bind it to the left softkey, can you still select the normal function the softkey would have by pressing the corresponding button on the actual screen?

Samsung Omnia

All run Windows Mobile but yet feel and are controlled differently due to the fact they have different interfaces. I agree Sony Ericsson would have planned for the X1 to act as 9 different devices, but this is done by offering 9 different panels with each their own interface. Right out of the box you have the default WM home screen and interface AND the SPB interface.

So as soon as we'd have seperate panels for touchflo, touchflo3d, manilla, touchwiz, android-ish interface, iphone-ish interface, etc. the panel concept will be very good, but at the moment its a bit of a gimmick? Or am I missing something?

Anyways, I imagine you spend most of your time in the Spb Mobile panel as that's the most complete one. Imagine you'd want to go to google maps? In the spb mobile panel this would mean a fingersweep to the left which would get you in the program button and then a tap on the google maps icon (assuming its one of your last 8 used programs).

Trough the panels you'd have to press the panel button [loading time], google panel [loading time], then press google maps.

Maggerh - the panels that ship with the phone are quite basic but they are built with an opensource sdk so hopefully there will be tons more built soon.

I know Sony Ericsson are running a big competition at the moment (called the content awards,) which should produce a number of new panels. SE are also working with some well known partners to make more available.

Am I correct assuming theres no point in using any of the panels outside the Spb Mobile Shell panel and maybe the Media panel?

Because if you're using the Sony Ericsson panel for example you only get like 3 shortcuts or whatever and no other menus and if you want to access any other options you need to go trough the default windows mobile menu? The point of the panels in the first place was so you'd be able to have several different shells such as Spb but it only comes with just one...
