1:45 i remember in 1st grade when we found a catarpiller at reccess.i remember telling the teacher and i remember catching it....and when he made a caccoon...and when he died aftera month of being a moth and when we buried him with alittle gift box filled with viva paper towel......i remember his spot...right next to the tree we found him on : ( Rip mothy.
@707oogeegee707 Oh jeez, I don't remember. I didn't save the names of the caterpillars when I made this. You could browse the archives at whatsthatbug but that'd probably take a while... Sorry!
Never heard the music but thought it had a familiar feel...
Then I read it's from Super Paper Mario. I played the other ones and they made up a lot of happier times in mah childhood. I never got to play Super Paper Mario though...
The very first cati showed I remember from my childhood in south Texas. Been like 30 years ago so maybe I'm not recalling, but those mother fuckers stung.
I used to have a pet catapiler lik one at 1:47 sigh my mom realeased him into the forest an the next day he came back into my hands looking vary :3 sigh then he left
Yeah! They come in black and light green, too! I was playing with a green one in my back yard. It was quite content eating a flower petal on my hand. 3 inches long is quite the caterpillar!
It'll turn into a White-lined sphinx moth, aka the Hummingbird moth
I wouldn't know. The majority of butterfly/moth species are known only for the adult, or in some cases just the caterpillar. Only a few of the most popular butterflies/moths are easily identified at BOTH stages of living (the monarch is one).
Your best bet is to just wait and see - who knows what you'll get! =D
these are just the ugliest things around! ICKS!!! I can't understand how people even dare touch them! I'd rather die than have one of these guys crawl up my arm!!!!! YUCKY YUCKS! but i dont mind butterflies tho! :)))
i have a Wooly Bear looking one as a kinda pet ( i am just waiting till they change to butterflies, so my cats will not eat them! lol) u know what it's name is? Other than wooly bear? they look the same, but have a diff. name...
1:48 is just a Wooly Bear, thousands of them in Vancouver BC during the summer... dont pick them up or they crap yellowish-green stuff on you. Good vid though
That's the idea. That caterpillar hangs out in trees, and when a bird approaches the caterpillar inflates its butt to look like a snake head, then wiggles its butt at the bird to scare it away.
0:51 Wow those caterpillars look huge! What kind of caterpillars are those?

guys i find alot of the catepillers at 1:46 in my backyard does anyone know what there called
lilskaters7 3 years ago
Well, I'm guessing the 1:46 caterpillar is a Hickory Horned Devil, that turns into a Regal Moth.
They're normally green, but the rest of the traits point to it being an HHD.
