@Dankma Yep, it's definitely ash- sort of quilted/flamed looking! Very rare to see figured ash like this. The only other guy I know who has an ash top like this is an ash distributor from Arkansas who sells blanks to many high end bass makers, and he drooled over this top so much he remembered it from when it was made 4 years ago. Fodera does not offer it as a top normally AFAIK. It does look like maple at first glance.
Beautiful bass. Sounds great and you're a great player. I just can't justify the prices. I'm working closely with a luthier on a custom bass so I'm learning a bit on the cost of materials etc... But either way congrats on your purchase. It really does sound great. Be blessed.

Ash top? It looks like Quilted Maple, not sure.. Nice video and nice tone!

@michaelbraunbass Yep- trying to get some more tritones in my playing. It's a bit forced right now but maybe it will be natural later on!
