@Josecalderon1241 Yeah a lot of people from the Caribbean moved to Panama for work esp. digging the Panama Canal. As I understand the last Mayor of Washington D.C. is from Panama (with Barbadian roots as well.) He is supposed to be related to Rihanna's family somehow.

@92Shatta But Caribbean has NOTHING to do w/ the English language. Colombia is in South America and Venezuela and Panama are part of South America but they are not included in the Caribbean? So who and what exactly is Caribbean to you?

@chsn09 Venezuela, Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, and all of Central America (except El Salvador) have a Caribbean Sea coastline. Hence they're in the organisation known as the Association of Caribbean States.

@92Shatta Guyana in South America is usually considered 'mainland Caribbean' (because as the only English Speaking country in South America) its trade links historically were all with the English speaking islands in the Caribbean.
