The Penguins are going to be all set for a few years. I don't think they've even peaked yet. If they can resign Gonchar, then they will be flipping awesome for the next 3 years at least.
eir future looks pretty solid -- Kunitz is locked in til 2012, Crosby and Staal are here until 2013, Malkin until 2014, and Fleury until 2015. Talbot and Kennedy are both approaching their contrats end and with 1 M and 850K, you can guarantee they're gonna be demanding more.
and you can guarantee stall doesn't make it passed the trade deadline...the salary cap isn't going up and with malkin,crosby,orpik,and fleury thats a lot of cash...stalls the odd man out..it sucks but the reality is next year you will see a few new faces to open up the energy center...

@lttlman2013 2 days may not be accurate but i maintain soon thereafter. also, guerin was the 2nd one to have the cup. its a pretty tall object, so when sitting on somebodys lap, it could easily be hanging out the window. it happened. doesnt matter if you care, believe, or neither. ps. looking now my phone says the picture was saved june 13, 2009. what day did the win the cup? id load it to the net but its on a LG Dare i dont use anymore.

the way i look at it detroit fans (such as my self) lost any room to talk shit and pittsburg fans gained some so it evens out but i will admit that i was very upset that we lost and it only put salt in the wounds when hossa left. unfortunatley, if ur a pens fan or a wings fan, im almost positive chicago is gonna win the cup this year. looks like hossa might actually get it.

a have total respect for hossa, he carried the wings in the regular season but when it came to the playoffs yea he struggled but it wasn't just him that didn't show up. Also hossa hit a few posts in the playoffs as well and his back checking and intangibles often go unnoticed

The series was great but the Wings lost it was close but they got outplayed except for game 5 and the last period of game 6 and 7. Hossa is a great player and he deserves the cup he made a great Wing and I am gonna miss him. Anyway the series was close and entertaining.

The Penguins are going to be all set for a few years. I don't think they've even peaked yet. If they can resign Gonchar, then they will be flipping awesome for the next 3 years at least.
eir future looks pretty solid -- Kunitz is locked in til 2012, Crosby and Staal are here until 2013, Malkin until 2014, and Fleury until 2015. Talbot and Kennedy are both approaching their contrats end and with 1 M and 850K, you can guarantee they're gonna be demanding more.

I don't think he will get traded this year. They can afford him, all their star talent is locked under long term contracts already. Either Orpik or Letang is approaching free agency, and I think perhaps Staal's leverage is worth more than his value to the team. The Pens are great down the middle, but they need some wingers.
